Gear jet lubrication, although highly efficient, presents significant challenges for reliable study and design due to its complexity. Over the last decades, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has emerged as a valuable tool, providing both qualitative and quantitative analyses to enhance the design of gear lubrication systems. CFD applications encompass predicting impingement, simulating oil spreading behaviors, quantifying lubricant flows in the engaging area, estimating heat dissipation, and evaluating load independent power losses resulting from churning, squeezing, or windage. Scientific investigations include diverse complexities of gearing systems, ranging from single spur gears to sophisticated configurations such as planetary and spiral bevel gearboxes. Various mesh handling methods, such as Local Remeshing Approach, Overset Grid, Rotating Reference Frame, Sliding Mesh, and meshless techniques like Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH), have been adeptly employed. Both compressible and incompressible models can be found in the literature, as well as isothermal or Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) models. The multiple studies consider different turbulence models, such as k-omega or k-epsilon. Noteworthy studies have undergone experimental validation, reinforcing the reliability of CFD outcomes. The objective of this paper is to collect and categorize the multitude of CFD studies on gear jet lubrication present in the literature, shedding light on commonalities and variations in approaches across diverse scientific works. This paper offers a critical state-of-the-art overview in the field.

Demographic shifts and workforce shortages impose change to today's work system, inter alia, for integrating diverse human populations. Industry 4.0 and emerging technologies further amplify the potential of having enabled work systems for people with a different range of (dis-)abilities and preferences. Aligned with the global trend of integrating marginalized groups into the mainstream of society, inclusive design introduces innovative approaches to work system design, enhancing its capacity to encompass a wider spectrum of workforce. This could be well simulated and demonstrated in the context of learning factories (LF) providing guidelines and tangible showcases for introducing inclusive work systems in human-centered manufacturing. To lay the ground, this paper is to conduct a systematic literature review, i.e., to identify, and categorize inclusive design principles tailored to dimensions of work systems. The goal is to provide a conceptual model characterizing inclusive work systems in manufacturing and thus support work system designers and planners for assessing and redesigning (learning) factory work systems. This is in particular studied in the example of an assembly site and a single assembly work system at the TU Wien's Pilot Factory Industry 4.0.

Process monitoring, diagnosis, and supervision are critical components of quality management. For this aim, control charts (CCs) are one of the important tools for statistical process control (SPC). However, given the uncertainties in real-world problems, classical logic is often ineffective due to the assumptions it considers while modelling these uncertainties. On the other hand, if quality-related characteristics are determined by linguistic expressions, classical CCs are insufficient to explain quality characteristics, and correctly evaluate the process. As a solution to this problem, decision analyses of CCs developed with linguistic variables under uncertainty are usually performed by using the fuzzy set theory. For this reason, a literature review has been conducted for the purpose of this study. As a result, the aim is to establish a foundation and provide direction for future studies, which consist uncertainty in quality assessment processes, by using linguistic variables to more effectively model the problem.

In this paper, we introduce a novel approach to solving the problem of choosing the parameters of Meixner moments, recognized as robust descriptors for signal and image analysis. Our method is based on the application of the arithmetic optimization algorithm (AOA) to refine the local parameter values of the Meixner polynomials for optimal performance when calculating the corresponding moments. Our algorithm is evaluated on a set of signals of significant dimensions based on quantitative criteria such as mean square error and maximum signal-to-noise ratio. Our simulation results highlight the efficiency of the proposed algorithm, both in signal analysis and in the analysis of two- and three-dimensional images, compared to conventional methods. Therefore, this approach shows great potential in enhancing the precision and efficiency of extracting information from intricate data, thereby introducing fresh opportunities in the realm of signal and image analysis.

The paper tries to assess how much impact social media has on consumers' decision while purchasing a smart phone. Consumers try to obtain information before going in for any product or service. The researchers attempted to find out whether consumers turned to social media to get information about smart phones. They also tried to understand how they processed this information and what value they gave to this information over the details available from traditional sources. The paper studies the popularity of various social media in today's age and how it is used. The researchers conducted primary research by way of a survey. A questionnaire was administered to 200 respondents from different age groups. The aim behind selecting persons from different age groups was to know whether people belonging to older age groups who had not been exposed to technology unlike the millennials, also have learned to use social media platforms for getting information before buying a smart phone. The study also sought to check whether traditional sources of information like word of mouth or print media or opinions of family members and friends and relatives still were critical factors for helping people choose the smart phone thy wanted to buy. The researchers even sought to find out how many consumers preferred going to brick-and-mortar stores to get information about different brands before buying a smart phone. Both men and women were administered the questionnaire for this study in order not to have a gender bias. The researchers also gathered data from secondary sources. The results showed that social media platforms were extensively used to gain information about different brands of smart phones and also had an impact on the consumers' purchase decisions. The study is valuable as it will help smart phone brands to create their online marketing strategies.

This study addresses the issue of procrastination in home-based virtual reality (VR) physical exercise. A total of n = 52 participants who owned Oculus Quest 2 headsets were involved in the study. The participants were tasked with completing six fifteen-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) sessions within fourteen days, with three training sessions to be completed within the first seven days. The participants were allowed to schedule the sessions themselves. First we measured the participants' average physical training performance using our custom VR application. Next we calculated the average interval between individual training sessions and categorized the participants into two groups. Those inclined to cluster their training sessions daily were assigned to the block training group, while those whose sessions were distributed more evenly were assigned to the distributed training group. Our findings suggest that procrastination leads to poorer performance during training sessions in a VR environment. Individuals in the block training group demonstrated significantly lower average training performance than those in the distributed training group.

Smart hospital grassroots date back to the late 20s when the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) started being adopted by the health sector to digitize its administrative processes. These technologies reduced mistakes, minimized the operational costs, and enhanced the efficiency of hospital management. The primary goal of the ICT utilization is to optimize healthcare delivery using modern data and technologies, improving safety, satisfaction, patient empowerment, clinical outcomes, and performance. Emerging ICT like big data analytics, artificial intelligence, IoT, cloud computing, 5G networks, and blockchain have enabled the integration and interoperability of various data sources and systems, enhancing the efficiency and quality of healthcare services. Moreover, these technologies introduced the terms smart health and smart hospital. The aim of this work in progress is to define smart hospital, explain its context and services, and distinguish it from other emerging approaches (agile, hybrid and green hospital) according to the literature review findings.

The application of Explainable AI (XAI) in time series forecasting has gradually attracted attention, given the widespread implementation of machine learning and deep learning. ShapTime - A general XAI approach based on Shapley Value specially developed for explainable time series forecasting, which can explore more plentiful information in the temporal dimension, instead of only roughly applying traditional XAI approaches to time series forecasting as in previous works. Its novel components include: (1) It provides the relatively stable explanation in the temporal dimension, that is, the explanation result can reflect the importance of time itself, which is more suitable for time series forecasting than traditional XAI approaches;(2) It builds the practical application scenario of XAI - improving forecasting performance guided by explanation results. This is distinctly different from previous works, which only present the results of XAI as the demonstration of innovation. Eventually, in five real-world datasets, ShapTime's average performance improvements for Boosting, RNN-based and Bi-RNN-based reached 18, 20 and 35%, respectively.

Most modern IoT software boards support real-time analytics - stream aggregation, filtering, operations with the accumulated data set. Interactive analytics of data accumulated in IoT-platforms is implemented using predictive models of time series based on various methods of statistical analysis and machine learning. Another approach to time series forecasting is based on a fuzzy paradigm, which assumes a weakly structured data generated in the IoT-platform in the form of aggregation of sensor readings from web-devices. The paper discusses a method of fuzzy modeling and forecasting of segments of averaged sensor readings from web-devices capable of providing information support for predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions based on a unified IoT-information platform. As an example of the application of IoT technology, a crop area was selected in the Zangelan region of Azerbaijan, where various web-devices are installed, the sensors of which monitor climatic conditions, air and soil humidity, the ground chemical composition, the state of vegetation, etc.

The realization of the state of the art presents significant challenges for researchers, as it involves addressing the extensive and dynamic amount of existing literature in a specific area. The explosion of information and the constant evolution of knowledge make identifying and synthesizing the most relevant contributions a complex task. Variability in source quality, diversity of methodological approaches, and lack of standardization in results presentation also hinder information systematization. Additionally, the speed at which new research emerges adds an additional layer of challenge to keeping the state of the art up to date. In this context, researchers must develop critical search skills, efficient information management, and discernment to provide a comprehensive and accurate view of existing research in a specific field. Initially, we employed the term frequency-inverse document frequency (TF-IDF) method along with total citation influence (CIT) calculations to determine the main topics and influence of articles within the scientific community. The primary innovation of this research is the development of an RNN model. This model has proven to be equally effective as the traditional TF-IDF method, complemented by CIT, in identifying the relevance and importance of articles.
