The main objective of this study is using Visible and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (Vis/NIRS) as a simple, fast and non-destructive method, combined with Artificial Neural Network (ANN) in order to build three ANN models for predicting fructose, glucose and pH levels in loquat. A huge amount of spectral data characterizing each samplewas extracted. In addition, by applying destructive procedures, soluble sugar content (glucose and fructose) and pH were determined. Feature selection was employed to select the most suitable wavelengths from the raw spectra. Afterwards, ANN was applied to quantify the three physico-chemical properties of loquat. Different feature selection algorithms were tested, namely Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO), Interval Random Frog (iRF), Variable Iterative Space Shrinkage Approach (VISSA) and Interval VISSA (iVISSA). As a result, ANN models based on feature selection (VISSA) gave the best results compared to those obtained using full spectra. The performance of the ANN models in quantifying the three loquat properties were: a prediction determination coefficient (R-p(2) = 0.97), (R-p(2) = 0.98), (R-p(2) = 0.98) and a standard error of prediction (SEPpH = 0.08), (SEPglucose = 0.30 degrees Bx) and (SEPfructose = 0.34 degrees Bx) for pH, glucose and fructose prediction respectively. The results indicate the power and efficiency of combining Vis/NIRS and ANNs to predict loquat quality. Furthermore, this research can be extended to other food products.

Modern Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) programming tools support object-oriented programming and pointers. In this paper, we show how it is possible to link any number of motor controllers like a chain and obtain a unified interface with redundancy but without using a master. The main principle is twofold, encapsulate existing and well-proven function blocks within other function blocks with added support for pointers and actions (methods). Then add one manager function block for each function block and link these manager function blocks to each other to create a chain. The first manager has no predecessor, and the last has no successor. Status information will flow upward to the first manager, and commands will flow toward the last manager.

Visual pollution is a significant obstacle in the modern era, where the world is advancing towards increasingly diverse inventions. These inventions require a suitable environment to achieve accurate outcomes. Artificial intelligence has already permeated all fields and interests of life;similarly, visual pollution also needs to be addressed properly. Visual pollution often creates obstacles in performing various tasks. To mitigate these issues, an artificial intelligence-based model will play a vital role. This work deals with detecting visual pollution using an artificial intelligence-based algorithm to apply practical solutions that enhance urban public scenery. In the first step, a dataset is chosen from an authorized organization;specifically, the data is sourced from Mendeley, named the Saudi Arabia Public Roads Visual Pollution Dataset 2023. The second step involves data scaling and background removal from training images to facilitate learning in AI models. In the third step, the dataset is processed using Random Forest and support vector machine algorithms to visualize the model's accuracy results. The support vector machine demonstrates better performance compared to the Random Forest.

The results of the analysis of hidden cyclic regularities in the dynamics of platinum prices using the method of anamorphosis for Gompertz models are presented. The boundaries of the ranges of automodel growth are closely related to the local minima of functions and, together with them, form the spectral composition of the time series of world platinum prices. It is emphasized that the price is currently in the so-called "sidewall". It is assumed that the platinum price will be able to reach a local maximum in the period from 2026 to 2028, after which it will fix on it with a high probability of a small correction. The next local highs can be expected, presumably, within 5-7 years. #CSOC1120.

Nowadays, the largest part of speech recognition systems is based on statistical modeling, being Hidden Markov Model (HMM) the most popular among them, followed by Convolutional Neural networks (CNN), whose learning is based directly on the raw signal. This work presents a study comparing HMM and CNN approaches and a hybrid approach based on HMM and CNN for speech recognition under noise, comparing metrics, such as accuracy, response time, and computational cost to generate models. The experimental results show that the integration between HMM and CNN increased the accuracy by 6% and 8% when compared to HMM and CNN isolated, respectively.

In logistics systems of medium and large enterprises, operators must analyze hundreds of thousands of variables to find potential improvements. This task becomes very complex in large scenarios and the taken decisions are generally based just on local changes, without regarding global factors. In this work, we present a system for the analysis and optimization of a container transport system considering variations in demand over time and global conditions. We propose a coupled empty-full container reposition model that describes liners operations in a year. We also implement an assisted process that helps users to find and estimate missing data in order to describe a complete scenario. This system allows users to make predictions and risk analysis more accurately in a short time at the same time they can obtain an optimum benefit.

Financial inclusion plays an important role in designing financial products and promoting sustainable development and economic growth aimed at reducing poverty. Designing financial products and services that meet individual's financial needs requires the integration and development of advanced data-driven machine learning (ML) models. However, there is a dearth of literature on the application of intelligent ML models in predicting individual's financial inclusion status. Therefore, this study applied random forest and decision trees to predict individual's financial inclusion (FI) status using data collected from Hhohho, Lubombo, Manzini and Shiselweni regions in Eswatini. Among the four regions, Hhohho had the highest number of participants (27.71%), followed closely by Lubombo (25.16%), Manzini (24.20%) and 22.93% from Shiselweni region. The findings revealed that 61.15% of the participants are partially included, 33.75% are financially included, and 5.10% are financially excluded. Moreover, the synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) was used to address the class imbalance problem and further applied random forest and decision trees to predict FI status. The study results revealed that random forest performed better with a high accuracy of 98.73%, precision of 98.76%, recall of 98.73% and F1-score of 98.67%. Decision trees also performed better with an accuracy of 97.47%, precision of 98.19%, recall of 97.47% and F1-score of 97.65%. Random outperformed the decision trees across all metrics in predicting individual's FI status. Implementing such models can aid policymakers and financial institutions in developing strategies to improve financial access and support financial inclusion initiatives.

By engaging with practical exercises on the MAMRP, students gain hands-on experience and a deeper insight into the intricate workings of autonomous vehicles, preparing them for the challenges of this rapidly evolving field. This pioneering method of experiential learning serves to enrich theoretical understanding while nurturing essential practical skills vital for aspiring professionals in automotive engineering and autonomous systems. Encouragingly, a cohort of 20 graduate-level students has provided highly satisfactory feedback regarding this approach.

Nowadays, the Muhammadiyah Organization has healthcare foundations and consists of a thousand hospitals scattered throughout Indonesia. The scheme of AUMKES hospitals in the current Social Health Insurance Administration Body era needs ease for accessing the external budget. This budget is used for hospital working capital, physicians, integrated information technology, upgrading and expanding facilities, and other service delivery events. On the other hand, Social Health Insurance Administration Body reimbursement, the significant revenue, often delayed and disrupt the cash flow for its operational activities. Borrowing money with some assurance from the bank to cover this problem is usually done by the hospital. This loan must cost more and is limited. This study aims to project the budget required and other alternative funding with a plan and establish the Crowd funding start-up, external funding based on the internal Muhammadiyah foundation fund. Because actually, Muhammadiyah has a vital funding source but not and wholly organized. Therefore, a great system is required to maintain the Muhammadiyah organization's goals. Research result researchers created a crowdfunding platform as a form of startup funded by LRI UMY. In this study, researchers are still focusing on the formation of a crowdfunding platform website design. The form of the crowdfunding platform compiled in this study can be seen in the User Design and Activities on the Website. This user design is what distinguishes our platform from other crowdfunding platforms.
