Diabetic Retinopathy is the major cause of blindness in diabetics, especially in underdeveloped countries. The use of deep learning algorithms has assisted in the early detection of Diabetic Retinopathy (DR). In this research, we propose a system that will help diagnose the DR quickly and efficiently while auto-training in the cloud based on the doctor's feedback. This can be easily diagnosed using some easily available image acquisition systems such as smartphones' camera and can be deployed in a low computational system in real-time. For the cloud training module, we analyzed five different transfer learning algorithms ensembled with a three-layered fully connected artificial neural network to create the feature map vectors followed by final classification. The pipeline gets auto-trained based on the kind of image that has been uploaded to the training module. We found that the system having DenseNet as the feature extraction performed a kappa score of 82.0% followed by the system having MobileNet and VGG-19 with 80.0 and 77.6% respectively. This trained module is then deployed for real-time analysis in AWS.

The Portuguese Project Management Observatory (PPMO) is a non-profit organization and an initiative of the Portuguese Project Management Association (APOGEP). The PPMO was created in 2020 to serve the knowledge needs of project management, focusing on the status and evolution of project management in Portugal. The PPMO is being managed as a portfolio divided into programmes of projects since late 2021. To manage these programmes, the European Commission's methodology - PM2 Programme Management (PM2-PgM) methodology - is being used, which was launched, in 2021, to the public as a free-to-use methodology. The methodology integrates artefacts, which were made available in 2022. The PM2-PgM is an extension of the PM2 Project Managemen Methodology. It is easy to implement, customizable and has the best practices and tools adapted to the management of programmes. This paper shows how the methodology was implemented and customized to better suit the context and needs of the PPMO's "Creation of Knowledge Programme".

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly affected various aspects of society, causing a shift in the nature of work. Particularly, the transformation of work culture has been unprecedented, with concepts like working from home, hybrid working, and remote working becoming a common phenomenon. The concept of working from home has particularly been amplified due to the prolonged lockdown and associated social distancing in many countries. The significant changes in workplace culture triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic open opportunities for researchers to explore the phenomenon. Interestingly, analysis of the sentiments of affected workers offers better insights into the impact of working from home. Sentiments, as a primal source of truth, have various polarities that can be measured and evaluated towards a more informed decision-making process on workplace culture. This paper reviews the extant literature on sentiments and sentiment analysis and how, at the peak of COVID-19, those sentiments influenced the changing workplace culture, specifically the "Work-from-Home" culture, and implications for the future.

Recently, there has been a substantial surge in interest surrounding diffusion models, which are considered a prominent class of generative models. This surge is primarily attributed to their potential applications in a variety of deep learning problems. The primary objective of this study is to assess the effectiveness of diffusion models as a data augmentation technique in the context of medical image analysis. Furthermore, it aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the performance exhibited by deep learning classifiers trained on two distinct datasets. One dataset is augmented using the diffusion model, while the other dataset undergoes traditional data augmentation techniques. Utilizing the IDRiD dataset for the purpose of diabetic retinopathy diagnosis, the results demonstrate the efficiency of the diffusion model as a data augmentation technique for medical images compared to traditional data augmentation techniques. The integration of diffusion model augmented data yields superior performance for both classifiers. Namely, the fine-tuned ResNet-50 reached an accuracy of 53.40%, and the proposed CNN-based approach reached an accuracy of 44.66%, surpassing the performance of classifiers trained using traditional data augmentation techniques.

Road conditions have a big impact on the effectiveness and safety of road transport. Potholes, cracks, and bumps in the road may impact driving behaviors and increase the risk of accidents and casualties. To improve the driving experience, proper road maintenance procedures are required. This research paper focuses on the DenseNet model to classify potholes using road image data. A self-generated dataset of 1721 road images with 4 classes is used to train the model. The model is tested with different dataset division strategies and epoch counts. The model provided a maximum accuracy of 98.3% on 30 epochs with a 90% training size and a 10 percent testing size. To further check the effectiveness, the DenseNet model is compared with the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and InceptionResNetV2 with the same dataset.

Water consumption is vital for human survival and plays a crucial role in the healthy functioning of the human body. However, the use of drinking water for human consumption has raised growing concerns due to water scarcity and droughts. Therefore, it is necessary to implement projects aimed at the effective use of water, including waste reduction and the reuse of alternative sources. This paper aims to describe the development of a low-cost water quality parameter monitoring system named APPT (Drinking Water for All), with a focus on the chlorine dosing system. Monitoring will be conducted in two reservoirs, one for storing rainwater and river water and the other for treating the stored water. The system provides automatic control of residual chlorine dosage and visualization of pH, water level, and temperature parameters through a website, using technologies such as Apache, Lolin D1 Mini Pro, MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, ***, and Twilio. Additionally, APPT includes a real-time notification system via SMS and the website to alert users about water shortages in the water treatment reservoir and when pH and temperature values are outside defined limits. The manuscript also presents preliminary results of the system: in the conducted experiments, correct monitoring of pH, chlorine, water level, and temperature parameters was observed. Notifications via SMS and the web were also successfully tested.

The material of the inlet wall of the sleeve is steel casting GS-20Mn5, WNo: 1.1120, according to the standard DIN 17182. The rough cast microstructure of the casting is subject to the appearance of porosity, which, together with coarse non-metallic inclusions and dynamic loading during exploitation, and an improperly performed welding procedure, can adversely affect lifetime of the inlet wall and lead to cracking of the material.

The progressive expansion of educational institutions in Saudi Arabia strives to raise educational standards and better equip citizens for the future. The objective of this study is to review the factors that have a great influence on academic performance. The study conducted survey concerns opinion of faculty members in Najran University on the factors may affecting academic performance from their point of view in addition to simple survey for selected sample of student in final year in computer science and business administration departments. Course portfolio is also considered for analysis purpose in order to establish early warning indicators and improve weaknesses;principal component analysis is used to analyze collected data in addition to statistical analysis. The experimental results indicate that, with a Wight of 0.999, the course's knowledge percentage has the biggest impact on students' academic success. in addition to additional elements like the use of assistive technology and lecturer qualification level also may effect.

The aim of this study is to investigate how motorcycle riders actively respond to the movements of their motorcycles. We used a multibody modeling approach to explore the biomechanical aspects and dynamics that lead to the wobble mode experienced by riders. Additionally, we sought to identify the critical factors that impact the occurrence and intensity ofwobbling, and to develop strategies forminimizing its effects. Our findings highlight the significant impact of arm stiffness and damping parameters on motorcycle stability, revealing a nuanced effect that restricts the range of self-stability.

This review is an analysis of the literature on public transport and mobile ticketing systems and their gamification.
