This paper focuses on the European Sector Skills Alliance program, CHAISE (A Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Blockchain Skills Development), designed to meet the increasing demand for Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) skills in Europe. The program aims to develop an innovative 5-semester Blockchain Vocational Education and Training (VET) program in eleven EU languages, addressing both technical and non-technical skill requirements. One of the key aspects of CHAISE is the creation of a comprehensive Blockchain training program that caters to diverse skill needs, including technical, non-technical, and cross-disciplinary competencies. This paper highlights the unique approach of CHAISE, which integrates a mobile-enabled Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform, ensuring accessibility and convenience for learners. The MOOC platform developed as part of CHAISE facilitates mobile learning, enabling students to access educational resources and participate in learning activities using their mobile devices. The platform offers interactive modules, quizzes, practical exercises, and collaboration tools optimized for mobile devices. This ensures a seamless and engaging learning experience for students, fostering active participation and knowledge retention.

Attention is a key in the learning process, so this study proposed to determine the influence of attention on academic performance in Mathematics. The Toulouse Pieron Attention and Perception Test was applied for evaluating the students' level of attention. The methodology used has a mixed approach, that is, both qualitative and quantitative, the levels of research implemented were descriptive, exploratory and correlational, with field, documentary and bibliographic modality. The population consisted of 51 students belonging to the fifth grade. For the analysis and discussion of results, SPSS was used, for the reliability of statistical data the Cronbach's alpha having a value of 0.917. In the results obtained after applying the Toulouse Test and after the analysis of the grades records of the mathematics subject, the level of significance alpha = 0.05 was used, which in turn represents 95% confidence, obtaining a bilateral significance of 0.001 so it was concluded that there is a high correlation between the variables, since the value of p = 0.001 and this to be less than alpha = 0.05 and according to the golden rule, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted in which it is mentioned that attention influences the academic performance of the area of mathematics. It was concluded that most students have a high attention level, and the rest between the medium and low attention level, which are directly related to the grade scale.

The purpose of the article is to present the use of instructional design ADDIE on the basis of the course "Professional foreign language" (English) worked out for the program "Translator in the sphere of professional communication" (Chemical engineers) which is operated online at technological university. The necessity of proper organization of workmakes it important to use the instructional design, which must be flexible as it can be necessary to change it quickly depending on the demands of the engineering industry and the interests of the graduates. The model of instructional design ADDIE is considered appropriate. The main peculiarity of it here is that the second stage "Design" is combined with the system of backward design, because the program has two forms of assessment: the final project and the standard exam. The final project is an example of interdisciplinary approach and can be strongly recommended as a part of ultimate assessment for advanced students who are selected and trained with the help of differentiated approach. Three learning paths (advanced, intermediate, basic) give the opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills and knowledge to potential employers from international companies when presenting the final project. Such methods of investigation are used: observation, analysis of previous experience and creative activity of the students, comparison of two forms of education, methods of data collection and accumulation, methods of control and measurement, and methods of implementing research results in pedagogical practice.

The research focuses on examining teaching proposals that promote active learning (AL) in the Electrical Engineering degree program (EEDP) at the Faculty of Engineering (FI) of Universidad de la Republica. It aims to identify and characterize these proposals, their strengths and weaknesses, and explore opportunities for their development and sustainability. This work is part of an ongoing doctoral thesis on innovative teaching strategies for engineering education. Six EEDP courses were analyzed using texts provided by teachers, non-participant classroom observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The research questions focus on the goals and characteristics of the implemented AL methodologies, strengths and weaknesses perceived by teachers, and positive and negative aspects highlighted by students. The findings revealed shared features, such as enhancing competencies, strategies, and skills, and promoting student interaction through collaborative learning. Teachers and students appreciated these proposals, with teachers emphasizing the importance of institutional support and forming teaching teams for development and sustainability. Students recognized the challenges involved while valuing the opportunity to apply knowledge in practical contexts. The enduring experiences were recognized by an appropriate teacher student ratio and required significant dedication from both parties. Latin American public universities face obstacles in transforming teaching practices due to limited resources related to student numbers. Thus, strategic curriculum incorporating AL initiatives at specific stages becomes crucial. This planning fosters relevant skills development, strengthens student-teacher relationships, and reduces dropout rates.

Writing Lab, at Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico), has become a signature center to enhance the academic production of its nationwide faculty. Unlike other writing centers, Writing Lab is aimed at assisting faculty and at-large collaborators. The mentors are volunteer experienced researchers who are helping interested junior faculty members, the mentees, to develop publication and research skills. Much attention has been given to the development of resources and programs for mentees to complement the mentorship process;however, we lack a clear understanding as to the motivations behind mentors' enrolment and what we can do to support their mentoring tasks. The research question is "what are the motivations for peer mentoring at Writing Lab within the framework of the institution?". We created an online survey to collect data from mentors through email (convenient sampling), which were later subjected to text analysis using the SWOT technique approach. The findings report mentors come to Writing Lab seeking recognition, prestige, and new avenues of production without losing sight of their senior status as researchers. Mentorships are structured interactions where the mentor takes a directive role in illustrating and discovering new competences to mentees (traditional model).

This research paper addresses transportation and traffic challenges through descriptive data analytics and a proposed real-time visual interactive Business Intelligence (BI) dashboard. The paper examines data on critical attributes such as speed limits, traffic volume, road types, and average, minimum, and maximum speeds in different regions. The proposed monitoring and control solution is presented by employing visualisation techniques and methods that involve the utilisation of diverse data analytics graph formats and visuals. The CRISP-DM methodology was implemented as a core methodology, starting from data understanding, and ending with a rigorous data visualisation process. Power BI was used as a tool to visually create a clear and user-friendly dashboard with the aim of aiding individuals and businesses in optimising decision-making. This includes selecting the most efficient routes and forecasting travel time. The dashboard provides valuable insights. As a final implication, the current study aimed to assist authorities in identifying practical solutions to traffic and congestion issues, thereby improving citizens' quality of life.

Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has issued a call to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to urgently update the Fourth Schedule of the Tourism Industry (Tour Operating Business and Travel Agency Business) Regulation 1992. The current regulations are outdated and fail to protect the interests of Umrah pilgrims, leaving them vulnerable to fraudulent Umrah packages, non-performance of contracts, non-standardized Umrah contracts, and a lack of remedies in existing laws. The COVID-19 outbreak in March 2020 was a wake-up call for the industry as mass cancellations of Umrah packages resulted in significant financial, emotional, and spiritual losses for pilgrims. The absence of a law during this crisis has highlighted the urgent need for a standard Umrah contract agreement that would safeguard the interests of both travel agents and Umrah package travellers. To address this issue, a qualitative study was conducted, using doctrinal and descriptive-analytical techniques to examine the need for a standard Umrah contract agreement. The results of the study indicate that an urgent update to the current regulations is necessary to facilitate smooth cooperation between both parties, reduce the risk of fraudulent Umrah packages, and ensure that contracts are fulfilled as promised. The proposed standard Umrah contract agreement is a solution that provides a guide for both parties to act according to the promises made in the agreement. It is in parallel with existing laws governing Umrah activities in Malaysia, and thus, is a practical approach of defending the rights of Umrah pilgrims and travel agencies.

This paper discusses the development and piloting of OPEN-TeaLeaF educational kits, centered on the Robotont mobile robot platform, and their associated teacher training program in Austria and Estonia. The blended training, comprising online modules and hands-on workshops, was evaluated with 37 teachers. Feedback highlighted the kits' practical utility in STEAM education but indicated a need for simpler setup procedures, better safety features, and more intuitive learning materials. This study emphasizes the importance of accessible, hands-on robotics education and provides insights for improving teacher training in this rapidly evolving field.

Welding is a challenging, risky, and time-consuming profession. Recently, there has been a documented shortage of trained welders, and as a result, the market is pushing for an increase in the rate at which new professionals are trained. To address this growing demand, training institutions are exploring alternative methods to train future professionals. The emergence of virtual reality technologies has led to initiatives to explore their potential for welding training. Multiple studies have suggested that virtual reality training delivers comparable, or even superior, results when compared to more conventional approaches, with shorter training times and reduced costs in consumables. This paper conducts a comprehensive review of the current state of the field of welding simulators. This involves exploring the different types of welding simulators available and evaluating their effectiveness and efficiency in meeting the learning objectives of welding training. The aim is to identify gaps in the literature, suggest future research directions, and promote the development of more effective and efficient welding simulators in the future. The research also seeks to develop a categorical system for evaluating and comparing welding simulators. This system will enable a more systematic and objective analysis of the features and characteristics of each simulator, identifying the essential characteristics that should be included in each level of classification.

For the Internet of Things (IoT), a rapidly growing field, it is necessary to have engineers with solid hardware and software backgrounds. Designing an introductory course for a new bachelor's degree program in IoT Engineering can be difficult due to the diversity of the subject and the need to strike a balance between theoretical concepts and practical applications. ChatGPT's natural language processing capabilities can be used to design the course content, learning outcomes, material, and interactive tests, quizzes, and assessments that provide students with a tailored educational experience. With proper prompt engineering approaches, ChatGPT can assist instructors in developing engaging, dynamic lessons that incorporate real-world examples and use cases. The proposed approach might improve student engagement and understanding while requiring less time and effort to design and deliver the course. The proposed approach offers a promising solution for designing effective engineering courses that equip students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to design and implement IoT systems.
