The paper concerns the issue of clustering and balance of test questions on knowledge, skills and abilities of university students. Opportunities of developing nowadays electronic learning has a great number of advantages in providing learning material and control of obtained knowledge, skills and abilities of students over traditional methods and means: flexibility, accessibility, cost-effectiveness, interactivity, multimedia, individualization and differentiation of learning, high degree of students' involvement. Formation of knowledge, skills and abilities in students is the most important process in learning. The level of knowledge, skills and abilities determines the success of university students in their future profession. That is why at the stage of designing electronic tests, it is important for the teacher to develop questions based on what the student should know and be able to do, what skills to possess. One of the main functions of the learning management system Moodle, as an e-learning tool, is the diagnostic function. LMS Moodle allows to optimize and automate the process of controlling the mastery of learning material. Thanks to this environment the teacher has the opportunity to easily develop test questions of open and closed types. However, in order for these test questions and e-testing in general to become effective, valid and reliable, it is very important for the teacher to keep the balance of test questions in terms of their categories, focus on testing knowledge, skills and abilities. Each category should contain a roughly equal number of questions so that e-testing can provide a complete view of student learning outcomes. The study involved the use of Kohonen self-organizing maps for clustering of test questions, which allowed to assess the balance of available questions in terms of knowledge, skills, and abilities and to make adjustments in the bank of test questions to achieve a high degree of efficiency and objectivity of e-testing.

Nowadays, diabetes has become a prevalent and significant illness worldwide, causing harm to the circulatory system and leading to complications such as vision loss, kidney problems, and heart disorders. Detecting diabetes early on is crucial in order to implement more effective treatments, control blood sugar levels, and reduce the risk of associated complications affecting both small and large blood vessels. It also provides an opportunity to make lifestyle changes and use targeted medications before irreversible damage occurs in organs and tissues. To achieve this, a method based on CRISP-DM is proposed, which utilizes five traditional machine learning algorithms and ensemble techniques, including RandomForest, Decision-Tree, XGboost, Logistic Regression, and Neural networks. These algorithms are applied to a dataset containing 15,000 records from the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases [1]. To assess the effectiveness of the predictive models, quality measures such as Accuracy, Precision, Recall, and F1-Score are used for comparison.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has proven to be useful in several fields. The medical domain is one of the fields that benefits from the application of AI methods to automate and ease complex tasks including disease detection, segmentation, assessment of organ functions, etc. However, applying these kinds of methods to the variety of data formats involved in health contexts is not trivial. It is necessary to provide technologies that enable non-expert users to benefit from AI applications. This work presents a platform that acts as a DICOM reception node with the goal of automating the application of AI algorithms to medical imaging data. This platform is set to ease the process applying AI to their DICOM images by making the whole process transparent and straightforward for users without AI-related or programming skills.

With the increase in the number of mobile money users and the rise of mobile money transactions over time, underlying security flaws have been noted in mobile money services operations. The purpose of this study is to investigate the primary security weaknesses in Rwanda's mobile money services, the challenges, as well as the risks involved. We collected data through administering an online questionnaire, filled by 30 registered mobile money (MM) users. We interviewed a registered MM agent. The collected data were analyzed using Python where there is a 93% correlation between an increase in number of users and mobile wallet fraud. The findings revealed that the key issues include SMishing attack, identity theft, phishing attack and authentication attack. Use of active user education campaigns and regular agent training, better access controls, use of 2FA, stringent laws against fraudsters, transaction monitoring by the ISP are some of our proposed mitigation measures. This study, therefore, will contribute to the literature on gaps in mobile money wallets in Rwanda and give suggestions to relevant decision makers to make amendments in the mobile wallet security infrastructure.

The article addresses the problem of document management in the Municipality of Brena, where systems with SQL Server databases are used. The goal of the research is to improve query performance and user satisfaction by implementing a hybrid database and microservices architecture components. It seeks to optimize document management times and offer more efficient and fluid systems. To achieve this, a hybrid database was implemented that combined SQL Server and MongoDB (a NoSQL database). In addition, a microservices architecture was chosen to increase the flexibility and scalability of the system. The Scrum agile methodology was adopted to manage the project, dividing it into sprints with specific objectives. Database migration was prioritized using Python libraries and the development of microservices components. In addition, a dummy, a desktop application, was created to perform concept tests and validate the correct functioning of the microservices API. This hybrid approach and the use of the Scrum methodology proved to be effective in optimizing document management in the Municipality of Brena, providing tangible improvements in system performance and efficiency. Of which based on the results it was achieved greater efficiency in municipal management, data integration and increased ability to adapt and grow. On this, the results of the survey are based on questions related to the four dimensions around the independent variable showing an existence of Spearman correlation supporting to take a question from each dimension which showed results of "Strongly agree" and "Agree" in the dimensions of 40%, 32.5%, 37.5% and 35%.

The Shapley value is currently used for explainability of machine learning models. It allows to evaluate the contribution of a variable into the final output. For this, a game (in the sense of game theory) needs to be built from the model at a particular instance. Games are power set functions. There are a few concepts that are similar and related to games. For example, monotonic games are also known as capacities, fuzzy measures, and non-additive measures. Non-monotonic measures correspond to games. The Shapley value is not the only index for games, there is a plethora of them. So, why the Shapley value? Also, there is no a single way to build a game from a model. Naturally, different games produce different indices. Finally, if we build a game from a model that is costly, should we exploit it for other purposes than just computing the Shapley value? In this paper we make a critical summary and discussion on the use of games in explainability.

This paper presents the design and construction process of the Arm-Z manipulator, which represents the concept of a hyperredundant manipulator based on a connected sequence of identical modules. Each module provides a single degree of freedom (1-DOF), specifically a twist relative to the previous module. The uniformity of the modules gives Arm-Z the potential to be cost-effective and robust. Standardized modules allow for mass production and can be easily replaced in case of failure. This paper discusses each stage of the design process from mechanical perspective, including: module's geometry, simulation based on Denavit-Hartenberg parameters, and manufacturing process. The section covering work on the electrical system discusses issues such as selection of: motors, power supply, protections, and the network's topology connecting EPOS controllers.

Addressing the challenge of sparse data, cross-domain recommender systems offer a promising approach by leveraging knowledge from auxiliary domains to enhance recommendations in a target domain. Many studies have concentrated on situations in which the auxiliary domains overlap with the target domain in terms of shared users or items. However, acquiring such auxiliary data is frequently constrained in real-world settings. This paper explores a more general scenario where the auxiliary domains and the target domain have completely different users and items, a situation that is widely applicable due to the ease of acquiring auxiliary data. Introducing a novel approach that involves Knowledge Transfer with residual learning by integrating a triadic interaction pattern between users, items, and domains with the hidden patterns identified by a residual neural network, user, item, and domain factors can be effectively modeled in a unified space using a modified tri-matrix factorization residual network model. The proposed KTRN approach is evaluated through experiments conducted on two realworld datasets: MovieLens and GoodBooks. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated by the results, as it outperforms other cross-domain approaches within the CDRSs framework.

The e-learning offers the opportunity to people from different cultures to interact on line in order to change their points of view and achieve a personal development. However, there is a risk of misunderstanding associated to on line interpersonal relationships. These misunderstandings have some effects on the harmony between people, the good functioning and as a consequence the learning results. This study uses Hall's theory to explore the relationship between culture and the social practices of the learners on line. Through a netnographic study of two international online learner communities, involving secondary data, Moodle communications, observation notes, and online interviews, the analysis revealed how cultural differences influence learners' social experiences. The study emphasizes the significant impact of communication context on social orientation, personal engagement with the group, relationships with the tutor, conflict management, and communication styles. It highlights the importance of considering cultural differences to enhance the effectiveness of e-learning environments.

Identifying people's identity from a group photo through face recognition models has applications in various fields. There are two major challenges, first due to the presence of several faces with various degrees of clarity and scale, and second due to angular orientation of faces in usual group photos. Detecting and cropping the faces have been reasonably solved using various segmentation-like models. Recognizing identity after cropping a frontal face has also been successful to some extent. However, the presence of orientation, often manifested by yaw and pitch reduces identifying features from faces. In such cases, models often make mistakes if they are forced to match a face with some identity. Our objective is to modulate the loss based on the orientation angle and consider the fact into the model that it is harder to detect if the angle of orientation is more. This approach leads to better accuracy and is also more intuitive. None of the existing methods in the literature address this problem, and when we compare with them we found the proposed model to outperform them on several datasets.
