Nowadays, information sharing and reuse across varying relational databases using Ontology Web Language (OWL) for knowledge representation is being studied. Nevertheless, the basic methods generally neglected the hidden heritage, and as a result, the hierarchic relationships could be omitted during the OWL to RDB conversion. It leads to ontologies equipped with relational connections that are out of sync with the structure of database tables. In this regard, this paper presents a new technique to assist an OWL system identify and change ubiquitous inherited traits in relational databases. To be more concrete, in Criminology, our approach emphasizes the improvement of semantic data representation by revealing hidden genetic similarities between individuals and families. Through experimentation, we show the effectiveness of our method to exactly accomplish that by depicting the relationships in hierarchy within relational databases. This study helps to improve the quality of kernels of ontologies which are used to build semantic information from database systems.

The paper aims to is the influence of environmental situations on the systemic parameters of the protective coloration of animals. In this regard, ideally, the diversity of disruptive protective coloration of animals should coincide in space and time with the diversity of the values of colorimetric parameters of Magalef's model of succession. In the case of disruptive protective coloration of an animal, the shortage of diversity can be compensated by the evenness of values of colorimetric parameters. For Australian camels, the population and area of which are increasing very quickly, it is shown that in this case the role of diversity of disruptive protective coloration is more expressed. For kangaroos, whose population and area are more stable, the role of the even-ness of coloration is more expressed. Based on the comparative analysis of these two cases, an approach to a remote determination of the state of stability of animal populations is proposed. The proposed approach is new due to the use of correlations of captured colorimetric parameters for deter-mining the role of the diversity and evenness of disruptive protective coloration of animals. According to the results of such analysis, the subsequent diagnosis of a stable or unstable population can be performed. In connection with the meaning of obtained results, it can be about aspects related to fundamental biology problems. At the same time, practical applications of results are also possible for the development of distance (aerospace) methods for registering the state of stability of animal populations.

This collaborative research project explores the realm of immersive technologies, focusing on augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality (MR). Despite their increasing presence in blending physical and digital worlds, a notable research gap exists concerning user experiences, including safety, comfort, immersion, and interaction patterns. In partnership with the Greensboro Science Center (GSC), our project has a dual objective. Firstly, it aims to assess the efficacy of AR technologies as learning tools, especially in educational settings. Secondly, it strives to elevate the visitor experience at the GSC by transforming static educational content on their boardwalk. The approach involves incorporating engagement strategies and 3D visualizations via an AR app called SolAR within the GSC's mobile application, creating an interactive journey through the solar system. This research builds on prior work and addresses real-world challenges at the GSC. As AR has a well-established presence, however further investigation is required in understanding user safety, comfort, privacy, and interaction patterns.

In today's modern times, augmented reality is one of the most evolving fields of technology which has its expanse spread in myriad domains, one of the most significant being the education sector. Integrating augmented reality into the educational fields has many benefits as it propagates the idea of creative learning having capabilities to enhance the logical and social skills of students. The profundity of the abilities of augmented reality lies in the fact that it can be efficiently utilized to aid the learning speed of specially abled students along with any normal individual. An analysis of a survey of teachers and parents showed that when using an AR application, the interest and self-efficacy of children in learning letters and numbers significantly increased. Moreover, obstacles to implementing augmented reality in online learning may include details and cognitive overload, a lack of prior experience with the technology, teacher opposition, complex and expensive technology, and technical problems with connectivity.

University education is receiving increasing attention in most developed and developing societies, as it is a strategic asset that nourishes society with all its human resources it needs to cope with the developmental burdens in various areas of life. Countries around the world are focusing on higher education institutions because their outcomes are the main driver of economic and social sectors. Training an educated person capable of participating effectively in the delivery of development programs is the path to global competition, especially with the increasing intensity of competition for the human capital-based knowledge economy. Many researchers have pointed out that entrepreneurship in higher education institutions in the modern era has become an urgent necessity due to its significant contribution to supporting and achieving sustainable competitive advantages. In this sense, the main objective of this intervention is to highlight the role of the university in creating real dynamism in order to advance the pace of business and create businesses. the proposed intervention will include an analytical and statistical study in order to identify the imbalances and problems that prevent the Moroccan university from playing its effective role in educating young people on the issue of the role of entrepreneurship in people's lives. Likewise, studying through a questionnaire will allow me to extract a set of ideas and opinions that can help create an atmosphere conducive to entrepreneurship.

This paper presents an efficient antenna configurations design with low dispersion, low loss antenna with high gain. It is based on SIGW technology. The feeding network is composed of two layers, the top layer comprises the top ground implemented on dielectric material Rogers RO4003C and the bottom layer includes the ridge and the surrounding periodic structure of vias implemented in dielectric material Rogers RO4350B. The ridge is branched to form power divider to feed the antenna array. The two slot antennas are implemented on the top ground of the top layer. It is analyzed using the Finite Deference Time Domain (FDTM) analysis (CST microwave studio) and fabricated using PCB technology. A triple band is achieved for WiFi application. It operates at 5.9, 6 and 6.1414 GHz with reasonable gain. The structure is fabricated and measured which finding reasonable agreement between both results. This antenna can also be used for energy harvesting at these bands, once connected with a rectifying circuits.

Colebrook-White friction factor is the common hydraulic roughness coefficient used in water supply systems. Analysis, design, and management of water distribution networks basically rely on an adequate estimation of friction factor. In turbulent flows, it depends on the Reynolds number and the relative roughness of pipes. This study assesses the performances of four tree-based Machine Learning (ML) models, including Decision Tree (DT) Regression, Adaboost, Gradient Boosting Regressor (GBR), and XGBoost. Their performances were compared with the equation of Swamee-Jain, which is utilized in EPANET hydraulic solver. For the comparative analysis, a reliable database comprising more than one million data points in the turbulent flow zone. Based on the results, GBR and DT performed better than the equation of Swamee-Jain. The improvement made in friction factor estimations using ML-based suggests further studies on the topic. Thus, future studies can be conducted by implementing ML-based estimator in hydraulic software for simulating pipe networks.

The rapid integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies into modern industries creates the need for engineers experienced in their use. This paper introduces the educational approach through the establishment of a learning factory demonstrator designed for courses on the basics of IoT technology by employing versatile and low-cost take-home laboratory devices from the AutomationShield open-source initiative. This demonstrator also leverages the new Arduino Uno Rev4 WiFi board, and a curriculum designed to equip students with comprehensive skills. Students learn how to use the MQTT protocol based on publish/subscribe messaging to establish connection between a device and a cloud server. The concept of diagnostics and control of mechatronic devices in IoT networks is also introduced to the students within dedicated courses, in order to meet the needs of the market by providing innovative solutions fulfilling the concept of Industry 4.0. The new Arduino UNO extension, a WiFi ESP32-S3 module can offer a completely wireless connection to the cloud server serving as the system's hub, allowing multiple devices to be controlled independently from a single spot and from any location. The course participant should gain experience in deploying a device in a smart factory, from connecting the device to the cloud server, gathering data from the device, designing a dashboard for data visualization and device control, to creating a simple algorithm to process the data into a basic remote diagnostics concept-all relying on open-source solutions. Essentially, this pedagogical initiative empowers students with hands-on experience in developing and deploying IoT solutions.

The transfusion of quality blood and blood components is essential for the proper treatment of patients. Actions are regularly organized to encourage and popularize regular, anonymous and voluntary blood donation. It is of particular importance to improve the quality of the produced blood components. In this sense, it would be useful to be able to identify people who are potentially suitable as blood donors. In this way, it can be determined how many of the people in a given region are potential blood donors. The purpose of the present study is to investigate the relationships between blood parameters in order to determine whether the blood donor is suitable. The InterCriteria Analysis (ICA) approach was used as a research tool. The method uses two mathematical instruments: indexed matrices and intuitionistic fuzzy logic. Datasets containing information on age, gender, hemoglobin, red blood cell count, packed cell volume test, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration, red cell distribution width, total leucocyte count, platelet/mm(3) (PLT/mm(3)) were examined. After applying the ICA method, intuitionistic fuzzy pairs were obtained, reflecting the degree of correlation between the analyzed parameters. Conclusions are drawn whether the blood donor is suitable, whether he can develop anemia, etc.

An Augmented Reality Application (AR App) called PEARL has been developed at the Paderborn University to prepare electrical engineering students for the compulsory laboratory work. The App enables students to familiarize themselves with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope in an intuitive and realistic way, independent of time and location constraints. An effectiveness study with pre and post-test design has been conducted with students from two universities in order to investigate the effects of PEARL concerning the knowledge and motorical skill gain. To do so, the students were divided into two groups, an intervention group (IG) using PEARL and a control group (CG) having only access to classical preparation materials. The results show that both, the IG and CG have growth in all skill levels that were measured by the online test. However, there is no significant difference between IG and CG. This is also true for the questionnaire regarding students anxiety before lab work, experiment-related self-concept and general experimental interest. Both groups have a significant improvement on these affective components at the respective times, but no group difference could be measured.
