With the increasing prevalence of AI, significant advancements have been made across various domains, such as healthcare, learning, industry, etc. However, challenges persist in terms of trusting and comprehending the outcomes generated by these technologies. Specifically in the language learning domain, teachers face challenges regarding the classification of the students' learning capabilities and build the appropriate learning path for them. To address these challenges, the concept of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) was adopted, which is a set of processes and methods that allows human users to interpret, understand and trust the results derived from machine learning models. In this study, we adopt two well-known XAI algorithms, PFI and SHAP in a proposed Knowledge Generation Model equipped with ML models to derive hidden knowledge. The whole framework has been applied and evaluated on the Language Learning Classification of Spanish Tertiary Education Students acquired from the CEDEL2 database. The analysis concludes that in terms of explaining the black-box models, the SHAP model-agnostic method is the most comprehensive and dominant for visualizing feature interactions and feature importance and be applicable to any type of data.

The aim of the paper is to explore the perceptions of socially responsible human resources management practices and their impact on employee attitudes. Specifically, it will explore the moderating role of ethical leadership in the relationship between socially responsible HRM practices and the motivation, trust, and engagement of workers in the different sectors in Saudi Arabia. The methodology used in the study is a quantitative approach involving data collection from 535 employees through surveys from organizations in Riyadh's different industries to examine the perceptions of SRHRM practices and employee motivation, trust, and engagement and explore the moderating role of ethical leadership. The findings of this study indicate that that SRHRM practices have a significant impact on employees' motivation, influencing employee's intrinsic motivation through a sense of purpose and alignment with organizational values, extrinsic motivation through fairness and equity, and prosocial motivation through the promotion of social responsibility. Ethical leadership moderates the SRHRM practices, organizational motivation, and employee engagement. SRHRM is also correlated positively with employee motivation, and engagement. Our findings also imply that ethical leadership may moderate the association between SRHRM practices and trust;nevertheless, more investigation is required to elucidate this link.

This paper introduces an innovative approach to designing data requirements for the development of learning analytics tailored to diverse, constructionist, open learning tools. Leveraging the Repertory Grid Technique, we systematically elicited and analyzed stakeholders' personal constructs to inform evidence-based user-centered design specifications. Through requirements elicitation workshops with educators, we uncovered essential information pertaining to teacher perceptions about student interactions with exploratory learning tools and their alignment with 21st-century skills. The process yielded concepts in relation to tool-specific indicators of learner interactions, forming a comprehensive design specification for a customizable learning analytics tool. Initial feedback from stakeholders and learning analytics experts indicates strong alignment with implementation needs and a coherent synthesis of diverse perspectives. Future steps include evaluating the effectiveness of the designed tools through real-world implementation and practitioner feedback, further validating the efficacy of this design approach.

This article discusses the possibilities, advantages, and drawbacks of moving previously on-site mechatronics laboratories online. Almost overnight, the Corona pandemic made it necessary to find, evaluate and implement software packages that allowed this shift without decreasing lab quality. Since nobody knew at the time, how long it would be needed to use online labs, it was necessary to achieve a smooth transition between online and on-premises labs. It was also necessary to switch between both possibilities at any time without delay for preparation. So, it was necessary to use the same books and documents within the online labs, which were used before in the traditional labs. So, the exercises were well defined, and the software products had to deal with this issue. This work describes the criteria of this evaluation in detail. For one year students participated in online laboratories under lockdown conditions. The end of the lockdown situation was met with consistent feedback that the online laboratories should remain an option, which indicates a strong popularity among students. Because of this the institute decided to keep two thirds of the training opportunities online with every third appointment being held on-site to allow room to encounter and tackle everyday problems.

The development of vocational training and education (VET) in specific auto repair study branches is characterized already in a long-term duration by the lack of qualified and sufficiently erudite teaching staff for the specific needs of car repairmen training shops and very low numbers of students, especially in the study branches of car lacquerer and car bodyworker. The article deals with possibilities to use artificial intelligence and 3D technologies supported VET to eliminate on the one hand financial demandness of the given study branches, and on the other hand to support the process of recruitment of the relevant staff ensuring the vocational training at the concerned schools. The ability and willingness to reflect on one's own teaching is seen as an important characteristic of teachers' professional competence [1]. In the contemporary discourse about teacher professionalization in Germany, great importance is attached to the training of reflective competence [2]. In order to bring up further perspectives on the event to be reflected, collaborative reflection seems to be a promising way [3] and further, video-based reflection formats can help student teachers to diversify their perspectives on teaching [4]. Results from a video-based collaborative reflection intervention show that reflection-related attitudes of student teachers can be improved by video-based collaborative reflection settings, especially when reflecting on their own videos [5]. However, the quality of collegial video-based reflection process has rarely been studied. This research gap is addressed in the present paper, which deals with the quality of reflection processes in the context of a collegial video-based reflection on teaching of pre-service teachers in a special format called Reflecting Teams. Results show that reflection and feedback quality are quite elaborated, as students are already capable of in-depth engagement with the teaching video [6, 7], students seem to benefit from both, taking and giving feedback [8]. This paper introduces a multi-functional industrial plant that employs a programmable logic controller (PLC) for process automation. The industrial plant consists of a pump, a heating system, various types of sensors (such as pressure and temperature sensors), and different valves (including manual acting, pneumatic, and proportional solenoid valves), which can be configured in different combinations to serve different process control purposes. To expand the input and output capabilities and distribute the input/output (I/O) modules, a Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP I/O system is connected to a Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 PLC using Profinet communication networks. Technology has been part of the educational system for years, but its application has not reached unprecedented levels of utilization compared to the present time, where the COVID-19 pandemic has led educational institutions to include virtual education, which has been applied in an emergent manner. The objective of this research was to design a virtual classroom model, based on selfregulation of learning and supported by information technologies, to meet the learning achievements in the subject of Mathematics of the first year students of Gastronomy and Financial Administration of the Instituto Superior Tecnologico Universitario San Isidro, through a projective study with documentary research of the institution's database and analysis with box and whisker diagrams for the different variables measured. The virtual classroom was designed according to Pintrich's self-regulated learning model and the ADDIE constructivist instructional design model, which are coupled to form an adequate methodology for virtuality. It was shown that students did not use self-regulation in their learning due to factors such as the distribution of time between work and study and, in some cases, family responsibilities, and it was also shown that the process of self-regulation should be acquired as a study habit.

Fuel models are a crucial component of modeling fire behavior in wildfires, and their appropriate selection is essential for developing effectivemanagement strategies. This research presents and evaluates a simple methodology for selecting fuel models based on comparing the main features of standardized models with open-access geographic information and dead fuel loads sampled on field. For evaluating fuel models selection FlamMap simulation of recent wildfires that occurred in three high susceptibility areas within the Metropolitan District of Quito: Casitagua, Ilalo, and Guagua Pichincha volcanoes were carried out. The final extension of simulated and real wildfires was compare using Cohen's kappa coefficient, obtaining values of 0.53, 0.35, and 0.47, respectively. These results indicated a moderate to acceptable relationship between simulations and actual fires. Additionally, simulations of the effects of fire barriers to estimate the reduction in the final wildfire extension were carried out, obtaining reductions of 22%, 47%, and 37%, respectively. In conclusion, this methodology provides a useful approach to selecting appropriate fuel models for effective wildfire management strategies in highly susceptible areas.

Research is a challenging aspect for students for several reasons: Research is a complex process that is usually addressed in many small-scale steps in a wide variety of courses. However, students often fail to see the big picture. This paper describes a competence-oriented inquiry-based learning approach to improve psychology students' research skills. In a capstone project, students are guided by the instructor through a complete research process in which they define their own research question, decide independently on the research design, and conduct and document the research. They conduct guided interviews on "explorative sexual research". Evaluation shows the high gain of competence for students. At some point, students ask for a little more assistance for example by preparing a research report.
