The communication of human emotions and intentions is significantly facilitated through the powerful and innate channel of human expression. As deep learning methodologies continue to demonstrate remarkable achievements across various domains, coupled with the proliferation of diverse datasets, facial expression recognition has evolved from being predominantly a laboratory-based challenge to a realm of practical, real-world applications. In fact, deep learning has played an integral part in enriching the facial features being exploited from plenty of faces that further improve the recognition accuracy. Recent methods have been witnessing two major problems: The first one is lacking sufficient training data, and the second one is that many methods cannot overcome hardship conditions such as illumination, head poses, complex backgrounds, etc. In this paper, we propose a CNN-based network to deal with FER in videos. The input frames will be fed to a well-known neural architecture (lite-XceptionFCNet) to obtain the spatial features. Then, these features go through a classifier in the later component of the architecture. We used the confusion matrix and the parameters inferred from it such as accuracy, misclassification, precision, recall (sensitivity), and specificity to evaluate our fire detection module and model. The system achieved high accuracy in the FER dataset, respectively. The proposed system behaved robustly and showed the potential of being applied to real-time facial expression recognition.

Companies are increasingly faced with the challenge of transforming their production towards climate neutrality. The development and implementation of a climate strategy requires companies to have additional competencies besides those that are traditionally needed in production. Learning factories can contribute to the acquisition of such competencies. The article proposes a procedure to adapt an existing learning factory, which already addresses the topic of sustainability, to serve as a centre of competence for climate-neutral production. The first step is to identify the required competencies. Then, a training curriculum and necessary infrastructural changes to the learning factory are derived, which are required to demonstrate the technical concepts and to teach the competencies. The ETA (Energy Technologies and Applications in Production) learning factory at the Technical University of Darmstadt serves as an application case. Training courses in the field of climate-neutral production are already being offered there. A concept for the development into a large-scale demonstrator for climate-neutral production with an integrated competence centre and corresponding training courses will be presented.

This paper presents a benchmarking study of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems within the applications of quantitative finance. The focus of this study is to assess the accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and adaptability of RAG systems in practical financial market scenarios. By analyzing the performance of RAG systems, we aim to provide insights into their effectiveness in delivering valuable financial analytics. This study contributes to understanding the potential role and limitations of RAG systems in modern financial analysis, offering a foundation for future research in AI-driven financial technologies.

The paper presents an experimental and numerical study of the tapered socket of the aluminum blade root of the mine main ventilation fan, which is based on the tests of a simplified full-scale model with a discarded airfoil and its subsequent finite element analysis. The calculation model takes into account elastoplastic properties of materials and non-linear contacts with friction. The proposed joint consists of an aluminum tapered blade root, two steel retainers with similar tapered surfaces, and two steel bolts that join the retainers around the root. Pre-tightening the bolts is taken into account in the nonlinear static finite element analysis of the elastoplastic behavior of the structure which allows determining the destructive loads that cause the bolts to break with the subsequent disconnection of the fasteners and the blade to fly out of the seat. The graphs of the von Mises equivalent stresses indicate that the maximum stresses are reached in the working part of the bolts, which fully corresponds to the nature of the destruction of the structure upon reaching the maximum equivalent load on it. The experimental study confirms the correctness of the determination of contact stresses at the tapered socket location. Correspondence of the results of the static analysis with the results of the full-scale experiment makes it possible to draw a conclusion about the correctness of the conducted finite element modelling.

Blockchain technology in cybersecurity has the potential to significantly alter and enhance evidence management, investigation, and cybersecurity. The paper acknowledges that the problem of privacy protection in open blockchains is still very difficult to solve, even with promising advancements in research. The study's originality comes from its comprehensive assessment of the several ways blockchain technology is being applied to cybersecurity across a range of industries, as well as from its discussion of new problems and suggested fixes. The chosen methodology uses keywords to search theWeb of Science (WoS) database for pertinent publications and then employs the VOSviewer to conduct bibliometric analysis on the linkages between blockchain technology and cybersecurity. Based on the Scopus database, research on blockchain technology usage for cybersecurity was consolidated, and bibliometric analysis was used to show the study trends. In this study, notable funding agencies, top research institutions, writers, nations, and journals were discussed. The future focus of study in this area could be on using blockchain technology to better understand the trend of corresponding research. Thus, the study revealed research trends and future direction in blockchain technology in cybersecurity. The choice to integrate various blockchain technology applications with cybersecurity research trends advances interdisciplinary collaboration for future advancements by providing a more thorough understanding of the opportunities and difficulties related to the integration of blockchain in various domains.

The paper presents the formalization of model of the Internet of Things (IoT) network designed for monitoring technological premises with telecommunications equipment in our science center. The physical implementation of the IoT network includes measuring devices, telecommunications environment, servers for data collection and application software solutions. For the information interaction, the "Publisher-Subscriber" scheme and "Message Queuing Telemetry Transport" (MQTT) protocol are used. An ontology has been created which describes the network architecture. It contains the classes, representing the concepts of the subject area, relations, individuals, data properties, its ranges of change and critical values limiting the attributes of the ontology elements. The ontology describes the IoT network architecture and the properties of devices that collect, transmit, store, and process data. Objects in the ontology have their own digital representation in databases. They contain measurement results, precedents for anomalous behavior of devices, statistical and spectral characteristics of data. The formalization made it possible to identify hidden dependences between objects, relate them to the characteristics of the physical processes controlled by IoT the IoT devices and solve practical problems. An example of the problem of choosing a broker and its settings for modifying the network structure is considered, whose solution is made on the basis of the constructed ontology. #CSOC1120.

There are various machine learning models for medical treatment that are now in use, however they all primarily target identifying a single condition. Consequently, this study has created a mechanism to just one graphical interface can predict multiple illness. This framework is capable of predicting numerous illnesses, including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, Parkinson, Alzheimer, chronic kidney disease, and polycystic kidney disease. If neglected even when handled such illness are dangerous for people. Due to this, early recognition and treatment of may save countless lives in these conditions. This study makes a proposed approach, and use single model and mixed dataset of heart, brain, and kidney. There are several techniques for classification k-nearest neighbor, logistic regression, decision trees, Random Forest, naive Bayes to do illness prediction. Every algorithm correctness is verified and in contrast to each other to identify the most precise forecasts. Also, numerous datasets (one for each condition) are employed to ensure that predictions are accurate. The primary objective is to develop a proposed model that can forecast various disease using machine learning including coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, Parkinson, Alzheimer, chronic kidney disease, and polycystic kidney.

Solving a Vehicle Routing Problem for a Real-Life Parcel Locker-Based Delivery 1

In this paper a problem modeled after a real-life system of delivering orders to parcel lockers is considered. The problem is formulated as an extension of the Vehicle Routing Problem with total travel time as the goal function. Several constraints, including vehicle capacity, travel time limits as well as parking and order service times, are formulated. Two heuristics are proposed as solving methods: a Genetic Algorithm population metaheuristic and a greedy method, which is also used as a reference point. A computer experiment is performed using large-size problem instances based on real-life parcel locker locations for an existing delivery company in the city of Wroclaw, Poland. The results indicate that the proposed Genetic Algorithm method vastly outperforms the greedy method, obtaining solutions with several times less total travel time and runs under 5 min even for instances with 10000 orders. The influence of the number of orders and parcel locations on the result are discussed as well.

Account Based Marketing (ABM) is one of the terms that is currently attracting attention in the marketing field. Companies in Portugal are also trying to improve their offer with this strategy. The present study aims to contribute to the knowledge of the usefulness of the ABM strategy;moreover, the importance of this work lies in the fact that it is still a little studied topic. With this objective in mind, this paper examines a real situation. The methodology used is a case study. The company analysed is Stratio Automotive (STRA, S.A.), where the ABM strategy is being implemented. In this way, the steps for applying this strategy are highlighted, to make the company more efficient, more focused on its customers' needs and in a more advantageous position. Finally, it is expected that ABM will make the company closer to the market and therefore more successful, according to the future results of the application of this strategy.
