This paper delineates an innovative approach to teaching the Denavit-Hartenberg (D-H) notation at the Lodz University of Technology's Institute of Automatic Control. Recognizing the challenges students face in mastering D-H notation, including ambiguous terminology, specialized indexing, and a lack of clarity in its application, a structured teaching methodology is introduced along with the motivation behind it. This method divides the D-H procedure into distinct, meaningful units, each represented with mnemonic acronyms, to facilitate easier understanding and retention. Our approach extends to the systematic coding of kinematic chains and is complemented by practical exercises tailored to enhance comprehension.

Writing is a skill that can be challenging for EFL (English as a Foreign Language) learners to master;as a result, it requires a lot of instruction and practice with written assignments in order to become a satisfying activity for English language learners. In order to obtain the desired learning outcomes, it is vital to develop ways to make this practice more pleasant and beneficial. One such choice is to gamify activities for learners. The purpose of this study was to examine how gamification influences the growth of writing abilities. This study used a pre-experimental design and a quantitative methodology. Thirty-three Ecuadorian students took part in this study as participants. Additionally, eight sessions were used to gather the data during three stages: pre-test, interventions, and post-test. The Pre-test and Post-test were taken from the Cambridge A2 Flyers exam, and the written performance of the students was graded using a rubric. The researcher mostly used worksheets and writing exercises using a variety of tools during the intervention. The researcher also included gamified elements including extra points, badges, time limits, leaderboards, tasks, and incentives. Main findings revealed that employing gamified exercises, students' English writing skills enhanced in areas of organization, mechanics, syntax, grammar, content, and writing process.

This paper explores the multidisciplinary nature of robotics and its integration into STEM education. Drawing on various studies, it highlights the positive impact of robotics on students' thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. We focus on educational robotics competition entitled "e-Yantra Robotics Competition (eYRC)", a project-based learning initiative by e-Yantra, a robotics outreach project at IIT Bombay, India. eYRC complements traditional engineering education in India with 74 diverse themes, not only developing technical skills but emphasizes life skills such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Our exploratory data analysis presents findings related to task submissions, team formation, and the impact of an electronics backgrounds on performance. The paper proposes a training program to address challenges identified in the analysis and reports on pilot studies conducted with undergraduate students. We highlight the transformative impact of eYRC through theme case studies, participant stories, startup successes, and its resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic preparing students for the challenges of future employment.

Retention analysis is essential from the point of view of customer behavior, including purchases of products. Existing purchasing forecasting approaches are based on analyzing many user profile characteristics, which are only sometimes available to e-learning course providers. The aim of this research is to develop a method for forecasting e-learning course purchases using deep learning based on customer retention. The multi-layer perceptron and long short-term memory are used. Analyzing the research results, it can be seen that the long short-term memory network achieved significantly better results than the multi-layer perceptron. Using a developed approach, there is no need to acquire additional data characterizing the user, such as demographic data. From the business point of view, it is a crucial benefit for new customers who are not registered in the customer relationship management system, but use anonymously this system via the website.

In the realm of business, accurately predicting customer purchases holds significant importance, as it enables the adept tailoring of marketing strategies, enhances promotional campaign effectiveness, optimizes inventory management, and reduces food loss and waste, ultimately leading to sales growth and profit maximization. The paper aimed to develop a deep learning model using the LSTM (long short-term memory) neural network to predict customer purchases in the next week, including transaction count and overall transaction gross value, based on their historical transaction data. In the research, to achieve the best predictions, various sizes of the training dataset, different model architectures, and its hyperparameters, as well as the hyperparameters of the learning algorithm, were tested. Prediction performance was assessed by RMSE and R-2. As a result, the optimal predictive model trained using 10% of customers' transaction sequences was characterized by very high performance at the levels of 1.4 (for transaction count) and 26.2 (for transaction gross value) in RMSE and at the levels of 99.9233% (for transaction count) and 99.4425% (for transaction gross value) in R2. The obtained model can be implemented before validating its performance on another instance of production data.

The article examines and compares the results of the use of artificial intelligence in the educational environment in different countries. Among the leaders in the introduction of artificial intelligence in public life and education is India, as the state that is fastest in the transition processes to an innovative component in all spheres of life. Successful cases of using artificial intelligence in Turkey and China are also considered. The purpose of the article is to choose the most adaptive practices for Russia, their consideration and forecast of application in the domestic educational environment. The result of the work was the systematization of the obtained results and the definition of the practical importance of artificial intelligence in the life of Russian citizens.

Accreditation under the ISO 17025 standard is crucial for quality management in testing and calibration laboratories. Themethodologies and systematic approaches used for method validation and uncertainty calculations depend on the nature of the tests and calibrations conducted. The declaration of conformity holds significant importance within the standard. Normative references exist that enable the formulation of this declaration through specific methodologies, which require evaluating uncertainty across various scenarios. In this study, we present a methodology that aims to establish a higher level of confidence in declarations of conformity by formulating hypotheses and quantifying the associated risks. This proposed approach facilitates a more comprehensive analysis of the declarations issued. The methodology has been successfully implemented in accredited laboratories specializing in both physical testing and chemical testing. Our findings demonstrate that this methodology is applicable to laboratories across various testing domains, irrespective of their respective areas of specialization.

A service-learning project, the so-called OSOR (Open-source and SOcial Responsibility) have been implemented from 2018 to 2022 in the "Manufacturing Technology" (MT) subject. Its aim is to manufacture products to assist people in a dependency situation. We investigate how the OSOR evolution has affected students' learning outcomes, the subject's significance, the level of difficulty, and other factors. We identified four main variants, which depended on internal and external factors. We discovered that the various variants had no effect on MT's final score. The COVID-19 pandemic in the academic year 2019-2020 reduced hands-on activities and, presumably, the acquisition of essential technical knowledge. Regardless of the implemented format, a sizable portion of students thought theMT subject was fascinating and crucial to their future jobs. The introduction of an assigned patient and the ill-defined nature of cases could be the reason for an increase in the perceived subject difficulty. Additionally, this may help to explain why students' general feedback focused less on the OSOR and more on their overall 'satisfaction with the subject'. Having complete creative freedom and control over the deliverables during variant 1 gave a higher level of satisfaction than working on scenarios with loose requirements imposed by actual patients during variants 2 to 4. The most notable products were successfully produced despite the challenges in variants 3 and 4 being more complex. The final poll for the upcoming edition of OSOR will include particular questions to evaluate the development of social responsibility competency.

Schilling's famous collection of kinematic models from the early 1900s contains models of trochoidal curves, which were helpful for teachers of the time when teaching plane curves. In this paper, we present a robot model inspired by Schilling's models, which can be used as an illustrative tool for teaching mathematics in universities according to today's requirements. Using LEGO SPIKE Prime educational robot kits, we designed a complex, custom-drawing robot capable of representing epi- and hypotrochoid curves. Our goal was to create a construct that provides insight into the process of generating trochoidal curves and is easily reconfigurable and adjustable in multiple ways to produce as much variety of curves as possible.
