As the demand for personal data rises, so does the risk of potential de-anonymisation attacks. De-anomymisation is a breach of privacy where an attacker can identify an individual in a published dataset, despite the removal of personal identifying information. A risk analysis based on privacy models can be applied to assess the de-anonymisation risks. The challenge lies in finding appropriate anonymisation methods based on the results. So far, a large number of privacy enhancing methods of non-complex data types based on privacy models was already proposed, but only a few for high-dimensional and complex data types. Therefore, this study focuses on identifying methods for the anonymisation of such data types based on privacy models. In order to evaluate possible approaches and to assess the associated challenges a total of 9 prototypes was developed for 5 different data types. The result was a guideline to determine which method is suitable for each of the data types. Here, the data controller has to decide between more labour-intensive manual methods with more accurate anonymisation results and thus a lower privacy-utility trade-off or the faster, automatic methods with a decrease in utility. It was also shown that even after applying privacy enhancing methods, it is still important that the anonymised datasets are again subjected to risk analysis. The presented methods and guidelines support data controllers in complying with privacy regulations such as GDPR.

Robot-assisted rehabilitation is becoming an increasingly common method and allows using previously unavailable solutions. Designers of rehabilitation robots must ensure that their devices' exercises lead to the most functional movements. This review aimed to collect biomechanical, kinematic, and dynamic data on lower limb movement that can assist designers of rehabilitation robots. Seventeen studies were retrieved from Scopus and reviewed. The partial information regarding ranges of motion, angular velocities and joint torques during gait and daily life activities. It was found that the gait involves mainly motion in the parasagittal plane, while the activities of daily living often require full activation of the hip joint. The research proves that more experimental trials for modelling task-oriented rehabilitation movements are needed.

Gesture data has emerged as a pivotal element in shaping the future of technology, influencing human-computer interaction. In this research paper, we explore biometric gesture recognition, recognizing the inherent significance of gesture data as a biometric identifier with potential applications in detection of human motions and intentions. The primary focus of our work revolves around the deployment of the Hyperdimensional Computing (HDC) methodology to create a machine-learning model that is tailored for gesture recognition. Our study showcases the efficacy of HDC in detecting and classifying gestures across two critical problem areas: gesture identification and biometric identification. Using the Microsoft Kinect Gesture Data Set, our experiments demonstrate the robustness of HDC in capturing a variety of gesture patterns. The dual application of HDC in both recognizing specific gestures and establishing biometric identity underscores its versatility and potential in diverse scenarios. The results presented in this paper highlight the promising approach of HDC in the context of gesture recognition. As we conclude, we discuss the implications of our findings and outline directions for future work.

This study summarizes pertinent, published studies, research papers, articles, and experiments in order to present an analysis of the current state of artificial intelligence, or AI, in higher education. In order to guarantee that only current and relevant data is taken into account and that the research is relevant to both AI and higher education, the study develops a precise set of guidelines along with selection criteria. Publication status, publication date, study language, and field-specific relevance are among the selection criteria. Several AIs are used in the study: ChatGPT is used for brainstorming and keyword research, Consensus AI is used to identify relevant papers based on the keywords, and ChatPDF is used to extract data from the studies. This study summarizes and highlights key findings on various applications of AI in higher education, such as personalized education, adaptive learning platforms, and intelligent learning assistants, together with intelligent assessment and feedback. Additionally, it delves into topics that are closely related to academic research and publishing, like automated manuscript writing and summarization, data analysis, data interpretation, and data visualization.

In today's digital era, businesses try to find new clients in many ways. This study offers approaches that use graph social media analytics to identify potential clients for certain products. In this study, we consider Soft Pinch Liquid Blush. The dataset used was gathered from Twitter search queries. The main objective of this study is to discover potential customers for the product Soft Pinch Liquid Blush using graph social media analytics, as well as find significant nodes relevant to the product. The analysis starts by building a graph network with the Source and Target columns, where the Source column represents people who tweeted about the product and the Target column represents people who were referenced or reacted to a tweet, indicating prospective interest. To evaluate the influence nodes, voterank is used. Then, to find communities in the network, three graph community techniques which are Louvain, Clauset-Newman-Moore (CNM) greedy modularity and label propagation (LP) are used. The community results were compared using modularity, coverage and performance. Based on the result, node "rarebeauty" was the most influential node based on voterank. Then, Louvain algorithm detected 1265 communities, LP produced 1412 communities and CNM produced 1318 communities after applying the graph algorithms. In terms of modularity and performance scores of community structure, the Louvain and CNM algorithms appear to outperform LP algorithm. However, LP algorithm outperforms Louvain and CNM in terms of coverage. The study concludes that Louvain and CNM are the suitable algorithms in this study, even though the modularity value was low. For future research, it recommended to add more edges between nodes to increase the overall connection of the network and do network pre-processing such as noise removal, sparsity reduction and edge weight normalization to enhance the modularity score.

This paper presents an investigation into utilizing circular swap mutations and partial brute forcing in guiding a stochastic search toward an optimal solution. The findings have potential implications for computational intelligence approaches in massive search spaces with known constraints. The efficacy of the method is examined using Sudoku puzzles ranging from 17 to 37 clues. The study graphically depicts the magnitude of the problem space, thus revealing the spatial proximity of states and the nature in which intertwined constraints affect the scope for locating a solution. These insights potentially assist in comprehending the problem space when designing solutions for vast, multidimensional problems. Constraint-aware circular swap mutations can serve as a successful strategy in the design of computational intelligence algorithms that need to be made capable of escaping local optima under temporal constraints. Future directions for research are also suggested. These include mathematically examining paths to optimal solutions and reverse-generating fitness landscapes.

In this article, a new theoretical approach to studying light-scattering characteristics of nanosized objects based on the solution to the Thomas-Fermi equation and quasi-classical approximation is considered. It is shown that the distribution of valence electrons in the volume of metallic clusters exhibits a specific structure of "spatial zones." With the aid of quasi-classical wave functions, expressions for the appropriate dipole moments of the transitions between the ground and excited states are obtained;the behavior of the spectrum of gold clusters depending on their sizes is studied;a comparison with existing experimental data is carried out#CSOC1120.

This study introduces an innovative framework that utilizes learning algorithms to rank customer reviews on e-commerce platforms. Addressing the ambiguity and subjectivity in customer feedback, our approach highlights the use of an extensive dataset and feature engineering. A pivotal part of our methodology is the creation of an original target variable named 'adjusted action rate' (AAR), combined with advanced training techniques to alleviate 'position bias'. This strategy allows us to effectively capture the nuances of user behavior and review dynamics. At the core of our framework are Learning to Rank (LTR) methods, specifically designed to tackle the unique challenges of review ranking. Our primary evaluation criterion is the Normalized Discounted Cumulative Gain (nDCG) metric, which assesses the efficiency of our LTR algorithm in predicting purchase likelihood based on user reviews. Validation through online A/B testing shows that our framework significantly improves user interaction, decision-making efficiency, and the overall shopping experience on e-commerce sites. The results confirm the success of our strategy in overcoming the complexities of review ranking, evidenced by notable enhancements in engagement metrics.

The rapid changes in industry and used technologies, especially driven by an accelerated development of digitalization, has created a significant need for highly qualified specialists with a wide range of skills. In this context, the role of professionals with digital skills is becoming increasingly important, as they are the driving force behind innovation and growth in an increasingly digitized world. The learning factory is a key factor in developing and promoting competences, as according to North, competences are achieved by applying knowledge through action. The implementation of the future-oriented learning factory in the degree program can therefore specifically support the promotion of digital competences and practical skills. In order to make the development and promotion verifiable with the support of the learning factory, a new course series was designed using the use case of digital work planning and optimization. The knowledge-building learning sessions of the technical production planning course in the industrial engineering degree program are supplemented by learning sessions in the learning factory. The planned learning session consists of the four phases planning, simulating, training and optimizing. In the planning and simulating phases, students create the work environment as well as simulate and evaluate the work processes of the work case assembly using emaWD. After that, the simulation model is used for a tryout and training in a virtual environment using VR glasses. The final concept of the assembly process is carried out and optimized at the manual workstation in the learning factory. At the end of the session, the use of digital twins and technologies is discussed and reflected with the students. In summary, the concept introduces the students to a new form of learning. Identification of plant diseases is necessary to prevent declines in agricultural product yield and quantity. Different deep learning (DL) models were proposed by researchers for the classification of various plant diseases. Models that employ deep learning require vast amounts of data, increase the amount of training time needed and make it challenging to apply them in small systems and devices. A deep detection and classification model with resizing and rescaling (DDCMR2) for plant disease is proposed as a deep convolutional neural network (DCNN) in this research, 14 separate plant datasets totaling 38 classes were used to train and evaluate the proposed model with auto resizing and rescaling as a layer. On the PlantVillage dataset, the performance accuracy is 98.02% for training and 97.09% for validation. The proposed model uses cache and prefetch, making it significantly faster to train than other models. While training on the first epoch, the training time is longer for any low-level systems, however, training on the second epoch with the aid of cache and prefetch is acceptable and quicker.
