The term "serious game" (SG) indicates, today, that type of games characterized by a vocation more focused on training and the transmission of information rather than pure entertainment, and which has in fact experienced, in recent years, an ever-increasing diffusion, so much to determine the birth of a new category of videogames. The proposed study first attempted to analyze the concept of SG and its founding principles, then went on to examine the existing bibliography on the subject, identifying and discussing a series of practical application cases, and finally proceeded to describe the methodology se- followed for the actual realization of the SG "Exploring Abellinum," centered on the case study of the Domus of Marcus Vipsanius Primigenius, located in the Abellinum Archaeological Park in Atripalda, in the province of Avellino. In particular, starting from the processing of the point cloud, acquired by laser scanner, then passing through the creation of the 3D model of the Domus and concluding with the export of the model to the editor of the chosen game engine, the publication of the above-mentioned serious game was achieved, with the aim of developing a useful tool to be used both for educational purposes and for the promotion and enhancement of cultural heritage, especially of minor sites that are little known and frequented, such as the case study faced.

Game-based learning has gained recognition for enhancing learner engagement and outcomes, while humanoid robots have shown promise in boosting motivation. However, the potential of sound recognition in humanoid robots to enhance learner engagement, motivation, and enjoyment remains relatively unexplored. This study explores the impact of incorporating sound recognition technology into humanoid robots in a game-based learning setting. Using the robot Pepper, participants engaged in interactive learning sessions featuring robot animations, background music, and scoring. Afterward, participants provided feedback through an online survey. The research findings shed light on how sound recognition enhances learner engagement, motivation, and enjoyment in educational games, offering valuable insights for educators and researchers.

Machine learning techniques have been an important support for disease prediction and diagnosis utilizing genetic variants classification. This scoping review aimed to synthetize the application of machine learning techniques in processing of genetic variants to support clinical diagnosis. Scopus, Web of Science and PubMed databases were used for retrieving the studies to be included in this scoping review. A total of 522 records were retrieved and after the selection process 11 studies were included. Several machine learning techniques have been applied to processing genetic variants related to rare genetic diseases, cancer, autism spectrum disorder and hereditary hearing loss. However, there is no evidence of the translation of these machine learning techniques to the clinical practice.

During the last decades, IT solutions were growing continuously in almost all parts of life, so the labor market needed more and more programmers and other IT professionals it seemed to be a perfect career. At the end of 2022 freely available, artificial intelligence (AI) solutions were published, which among others are able to handle programming tasks, give suggestions, create codes, and debug programs. This new possibility raised two important questions. One about informatics education. How can we use up this AI tool in education, and how can we decide what they really know, or they simply use ChatGPT during tests? The other question is more serious, if AI can solve implementation tasks, does it mean the end of IT careers in the near future for a lot of young people? We asked the opinion of our students, who will be programmers studying either in Hungarian or in English training. One eye weeps the other laughs. Some of them already used it in non-ethical way during their studies but the higher their skills the less they fear about not to have a real IT career. This is in line with our view that the more in-depth knowledge one has, the less one should fear the effects of the AI revolution.

The paper is devoted to the issues of digital data processing in ECG signal application. The benefits and disadvantages of common methods dedicated to extraction useful signal component in interference environment have been compared and analyzed. A novel technique for filtering the ECG signal and extraction useful signal component based on cross-bispectrum signal processing strategy is proposed and studied. New algorithm for ECG signal processing has been developed and studied. The proposed algorithms have shown their efficiency and high quality of ECG extraction in the interference environment.

Nowadays, music streaming services are becoming more popular with the emergence of smartphones. For instance, about 2 million users used Spotify, which is one of the largest music streaming applications in the world, in 2010 and about 180 million users are on Spotify now. These music streaming applications also provide recommendation char to users for better satisfaction on application. For example, in YouTube music, there is a "Releasing Stress" chart. Also, there is a music list which people made and are able to share with other people who are in a similar situation. However, these recommendation lists are subjective, and this might cause side effects because some users do not choose their favorite artists or do not set their age when they use the streaming site first. Hence, in this paper, we are going to evaluate the music trend of these days and collect the various music streaming data from different users. Moreover, we will implement the pre-trained music recommendation model based on the limited users' information such as their age, gender, religion, home country, and current location etc.

The "StoryWood-Story and Post Maker" application that is being exhibited is a flexible story and post creator that was developed with the Flutter framework and provides users with a wide range of customizable capabilities. With pre-made themes, users can quickly create their articles and stories and then customize them to their preferences. Customization options include cropping photographs, applying shadows to text, changing text properties (size, color, and style), and changing backdrop colors. The software also gives users the ability to download their creations for offline use and share them easily across several devices. Users may choose between creating an account and gaining anonymous access, thanks to the smooth integration of Firebase Authentication. This guarantees content privacy and improves security. Another tool used for safe user account management is Firebase. These fundamental components serve as the foundation for the app's many features, which include content creation, modification, sharing, downloading, and storage. User-generated material is managed and protected using Firebase Cloud Storage or comparable cloud storage options. To safeguard user data, privacy and security protocols are carefully put into place, along with specific security guidelines for Firebase resources. The application's user experience is improved by thorough testing, solid documentation, and user assistance. To reach a large audience of content makers, the application is painstakingly developed for distribution on top app stores, such Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The app's continuous development and improvement are further ensured by frequent upgrades and possible analytics integration.

The study of a cryptosystem is core of every information system. The aim of this paper is to model a symmetric key based system to transmit or receive information of large file size. From designer perspective it is essential to investigate the strength, weekness and characteristics of modeled cryptosystem. This paper first establishes Fibo-Q-based cryptosystem and later on analyses it from hackers or cryptanalysts perspective. During analysis, various situations have been posed and their solution has been investigated using Stochastic and Markovian Schemes. The Fibo-Q matrix has been used instead of the traditional XOR operator. To analyze them cryptic mining concepts are also discussed.

The transportation sector stands as one of the broadest and most significant industries worldwide. Today, one of the key environmental consequences of the transportation sector is the increase in carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. This research focuses on CO2 emissions specifically from road transportation. The primary objectives of the study are to investigate how yearly fluctuations on highways impact CO2 emissions. The study utilizes genetic algorithm-based artificial neural networks (GA-ANN) to design a transportation optimization model. Artificial neural networks are employed to estimate the proportion of CO2 emissions from roadways in the total transportation-related CO2 emissions. The article proposes an optimization method using genetic algorithms (GA) to optimize the parameters of the artificial neural networks. The development of the ANN model was carried out in the MATLAB program. The constructed GA-ANN model was compared to a variety of other machine learning (ML) models linear regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), random forest (RF), artificial neural network (ANN).

Emotion and facial expression recognition are a common topic in artificial intelligence. In particular, main efforts focus on constructing models to classify within the six universal emotions. In this paper, we present the first attempt to classify within 33 different facial expressions. We define and train a simple convolutional neural network with a low number of intermediate layers, to recognize the 32 facial expressions (plus the neutral one) contained in an extension of UIBVFED, a virtual facial expression dataset. We obtained a global accuracy of 0.8, which is comparable to the 0.79 accuracy we got when training the neural network with only the six universal emotions. Taking advantage of this trained model, we explore the approach of classifying the images within the six universal emotions, translating the facial expression predicted by the model into its associated emotion. With this novel approach, we reach an accuracy level of 0.95, a value comparable to the best results present in the literature with the plus of using a very simple neural network.
