The majority of various sizes of enterprises rely on open-source dependencies in the software development process. This reliance is associated with risks, such as public dependency management platform outages, which might result in downtimes in business processes. To tackle this challenge, it is possible to manage a private dependency management system within the company. A variety of such solutions exist with ranging capabilities and properties. Within this work, we analyzed solutions that support the dependencies of the selected languages out of the current top 10 TIOBE index, namely Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, C++, and PHP. Overall, we have discovered 13 solutions that support dependency management for one or multiple of these languages, out of which 11 have native cloud support, 10 are open-source, eight support Single Sign On, and four support multiple programming languages. We also note the potential of using containerization to tackle the challenges of managing open-source dependencies.

In the pursuit of enhancing digital user experiences within healthcare, this research investigates the novel application of Large Language Models (LLMs) in the Adaptive User Interface Framework (AUIF). This framework aims to redefine user interaction by providing real-time, personalized interface adjustments. By systematically applying LLMs to user interface enhancement, the AUIF addresses the static nature of current digital health platforms, offering a dynamic and adaptive alternative that responds to individual user behaviors and preferences. This study explores the pioneering integration of LLMs for user experience (UX) improvement recommendations and real-time HyperText Markup Language (HTML) content adjustments, marking a significant step forward in intelligent user interface design. The implications of this research are vast, with the potential to improve patient engagement, and satisfaction, and to address the pressing need for interfaces that adapt to diverse user behaviors and preferences.

Climbing robots hold significant promise for applications such as industrial inspection and maintenance, particularly in hazardous or hard-to-reach environments. This paper describes the quadrupedal climbing robot Magnecko, developed with the major goal of providing a research platform for legged climbing locomotion. With its 12 actuated degrees of freedom arranged in an insect-style joint configuration, Magnecko's high manipulability and high range of motion allow it to handle challenging environments like overcoming concave 90. corners. A model predictive controller enables Magnecko to crawl on the ground, on horizontal overhangs, and on vertical walls. Thanks to the custom actuators and the electro-permanent magnets that are used for adhesion on ferrous surfaces, the system is powerful enough to carry additional payloads of at least 65% of its own weight in all orientations. The Magnecko platform serves as a foundation for climbing locomotion in complex three-dimensional environments.

Industry 4.0 (I4.0) is revolutionizing theworld, especially themanufacturing companies which face challenges to integrate new technologies in technical and non-technical services. The I4.0 is driven by the digitization, rise of data and connectivity, analytics, and human-machine interaction, therefore its implementation is a complex process. Morocco and many countries are currently implementing policies to facilitate companies' transformation within the I4.0. The primary objective of this pilot study is to provide a first insight about the implementation of I4.0 in Moroccan companies. This paper presents a case study of a company that have implemented the I4.0 technologies within 15 Moroccan companies. The collected data is analysed to provide insight into the status of implementation of the I4.0 technologies, with a focus on identifying barriers.

We have developed a simple mechanism that can ascend spiral stairs using two steering wheels, one prismatic joint on the rear wheel, and rotating arms with crawler and wheel that keeps a wheelchair body horizontal. In this study, first, we defined four problems when ascending the spiral stairs. Second, we proposed a mechanism to solve four problems which combines above mentioned components, and designed a one third scale experimental machine. Finally, the experiment using one third scale spiral stairs are conducted, and results showed that proposed mechanism can ascend to the second step of stairs keeping its posture horizontally. Furthermore, it turned out that it is unable to climb from the third step onwards because the rear wheel is floating. By applying pushing force to the front wheel appropriately, it is known that the experimental machine can ascend stairs.

The article is devoted to the comparative analysis of pairs of monotonically stable solutions of ordinary differential equations having a common asymptote. It is assumed that monotonically stable solutions are continuous, nonlinear, and also have a limited quantity of inflection points. It is known that the application of the classical mathematical analysis makes it possible to obtain conditions of the simultaneous monotonic stability of two nonlinear solutions under study. In the comparative analysis of the monotonically stable solutions in a pair, elements of the analysis of infinitesimal functions are used. The aim of the work is to analyze the qualitatively different cases describing the variation of the pairs of the simultaneously monotonically stable solutions that limited by a common asymptote and located in the upper half-plane of the x-y plane. The article takes into account that the monotonically stable solutions can have one: vertical, inclined or horizontal asymptote. Ultimately, seventeen qualitatively different cases of variation of the pairs of the simultaneously monotonically stable solutions limited by an asymptote in the upper half-plane are identified. In a similar way, one can carry out a comparative analysis of the cases of the simultaneous monotonic stability of the solutions with a common asymptote in the lower half-plane of the x-y plane. #CSOC1120.

The effects of global warming caused by human activities have impacted people's daily lives around the world with more frequency in the last 20 years. It is estimated that by 2050 the global temperature will increase by 3 degrees C with respect to 2020. These increases in temperature have been noticeable in recent years with heatwaves, extreme temperatures, and draughts, particularly affecting areaswith already high temperatures. This paper presents an initial design of a low-cost sensor-based solution to support thermal comfort in homes (rooms or areas in the living space) in the northeast of Mexico, where temperatures already reached 45 degrees C in 2024. The solution proposed is comprised by three types of ambient sensors (movement, temperature and humidity), and a smart ring wearable sensor. The sensors will first collect data to build a profile of the environment and the users, and then to detect conditions that are not safe for the users, such as extreme high and low temperatures based on their personalised profile. This data will be complemented with thermal comfort surveys and self-perceived health surveys. Relevant information will be displayed to users in a user-friendly dashboard.

This paper addresses the results of testing LiFiMAX devices. In the tests, we focused on the transmission of the optical signal through a glass obstacle - a glass plate. The goal of the measurements, conducted within a predefined communication scenario, was to determine the optical signal's transmission through a specific quantity of glass plates. These plates were inserted into the communication path between the LiFiMAX AccessPoint (AP) and LiFiMAX Dongle. Additionally, the objective was to measure the energy consumption of the LiFiMAX Dongle device concerning the assumed usage with battery-powered devices. Finally, we conducted measurements of the transmission speed using the LiFiMAX AP transmitter and LiFiMAX Dongle receiver through glass doors with etched glass, positioned between the LiFiMAX AP and LiFiMAX Dongle.

The utilisation and people's dependency on smartphones in this digital era are unavoidable. Smartphones play certain functions in every lifestyle and have become 'a must have' gadget to everyone. Some new issues emerge when the users do not consider the security of their multipurpose mobile devices, leaving an opening to digital crime. This includes the use of various communication applications which are prone to security breach. There have been complaints of misuse or improper handling of smartphone usage among Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel, which also falls under the category of information security. This paper focuses on identifying the perception of smartphone usage and security awareness among the MAF which data from 100 participants has been gathered and analyzed. The MAF personnel are not exceptional to the prevalence of smartphone usage, making them also at risk of being targeted by the enemy or any particular parties with bad agendas towards the organization and the country.

Threats online - internet, social media platforms, blogs - has risen with development of cybernetics tools of communication. Since the threats against soft targets are recurrent on cyberspace, the focus becomes an e-threat. This paper aims to contribute to construct a roadmap to apprehend e-threats against soft targets, considering the triangle ground of coexistence - normative, empirical and theoretical. An all-inclusive guide amalgamates the concepts of e-threats detections, risk, IA, soft targets, is developed to understand processes. The awareness of the added-value and the limitations of the integration of this technology in policing, is an initiative whose enforcement is legitimized and stranded in a simple concept of security. Despite the IA advances, and its efficiency for detection, the process is complex, because deceptive behaviour has a multidimensional nature. Our analysis reveals that the disruptive potential of e-threats of soft targets is tackled and some orientations are given to guarantee the safety and security of crowds.
