The paper presents a picture of the communicating Universe based on a combination of the worlds of physics and mathematical communication (information) theory. It gives a new view of whole physics, which connects the description of micro- and macro-worlds and brings some new knowledge from the point of communication in the Universe. It is shown that the mathematical tool for communication is deeply rooted in the true nature of physical reality.

This research explains the perceptions of university students regarding the use of ChatGPT in their learning and research. The research is based on evidence provided in articles that were considered in a systematic literature review using the PRISMA model. The motivation for this study was informed by a realization that there are limited studies that provide a comprehensive understanding of students' perceptions regarding the use of ChatGPT in learning and research. Many existing studies either focus on educators' perceptions or isolated cases of empirical studies. It is therefore not clear what factors influence students' adoption of ChatGPT. This gap was addressed by this study by conducting a systematic literature reviewto identify factors influencing the adoption of ChatGPT, the positive impact of ChatGPT on students' education and the concerns raised by students regarding the integration of ChatGPT into academic practice. The research focus was on articles that discuss the students' perceptions of ChatGPT, all of which were drawn from Google Scholar. In total 32 articles were considered for analysis for this study and in this paper, we present five constructs that influence the adoption of ChatGPT in academic activities. Even though the students' perceptions of ChatGPT are widely varied, the findings of this research show that students concur that ChatGPT has a positive influence on their learning. The students further highlighted concerns relating to their use of ChatGPT in learning, which could be improved if the tool's educational effectiveness is to be realized. The contribution of this study is three-fold. First, the findings of this research explain the perceptions of students about using ChatGPT in academic practice. Second, the results of this study inform the university management and policymakers about how to effectively integrate ChatGPT into the education system. In recent years, the prevalence of manipulated videos, commonly referred to as "deepfakes", has surged, impacting various industries worldwide. These videos are generated by software based on deep learning models. In the near future, making deepfakes is likely to become simpler than it is now, as the current process demands a hefty amount of data and expensive computing power. The repercussions of this technology's misuse, including the spread of false information and potential threats to national security, pose significant concerns such as libel, sabotage, and blackmail. This study proposes a system employing MTCNN for facial extraction in videos, feeding the data into a sequential model featuring Inception-ResNet-v2 and additional layers. Rigorous testing with diverse video samples demonstrated favorable results, highlighting the model's effectiveness and accuracy. The proposed model archived better accuracy 91.41% as compared with existing CNN and Xception net accuracy. This abstract encapsulates the key aspects of the research, from the problem statement to the proposed solution and successful outcomes, contributing valuable insights into addressing the challenges posed by deepfake technology.

In the process engineering reliable and trustworthy AI systems there is significant wisdom to be gained from traditional engineering domains. Extending on earlier work our attention is on topics that stress the principles of building human-AI systems. We plea for a reinforced attention for engineering methods and processes in order to urge the essence for improved scientific progress and industrial AI applications where one can stand on the shoulders of giants. On the one hand, we see their complexity increase on an individual level, as well as on their connected dependency levels, whilst on the other hand, we see a growing lack of experience on the level of their design and engineering. The complexity of current AI models often limits our understanding. The methods and processes to ensure safety, reliability, and transparency are insufficient. This poses serious risks at the level of trustworthiness, particularly when it comes to critical applications with significant social, economic or even physical impact. Future AI systems must adhere to stringent requirements, as mandated, for instance, by the European AI Act, ensuring meticulous design, validation, and certification based on clearly defined criteria.

Extensive research on double-compressed image analysis has been performed in image forensics, referring to the widely adopted JPEG coding. However, as HEIF gains popularity for its efficiency in reducing file sizes while maintaining image quality, the lack of methods for detecting double HEIF compression becomes apparent. Traditional JPEG-based techniques are not directly applicable to HEIF due to their distinct coding algorithms. In this study, we build upon Farid'swork on coding ghosts in JPEG images and introduce a method to detect double-aligned compression and estimate initial quantization coefficients in HEIF images. Our experiments show that this method performs effectively when the difference between the first and second quantization parameters (QP) exceeds 5.

In this work, we suggest the development of two new image coders, namely EVIC (Embedded Visual-based image coder) based on the perceptual model and a designed weighting model and its optimized version VOEVIC (Visual Optimized Embedded Visual-based image coder) in order to obtain an improved perceptual quality compared to the standard SPIHT coder, for a given bit rate. Among other things, we propose a new VWVDP quality evaluator and its optimized version VOWVDP, and suggest the validation of objective metrics for evaluating coding quality using Human Visual System (HVS) quality criteria. These metrics incorporate visual weighting to eliminate any undesirable components invisible to the human visual cortex and retain only those that are perceptible in the cortical domain, and finally evaluate the differences by offering a map of visible differences VDM and a quality factor PS (Probability Score) for visual coding evaluation. This paper sets the objective of optimizing PAYLAOD in IoT platforms deploying computational intelligence for object detection and recognition with a view to offering green solutions to smart city applications, in areas such as health, transport, agriculture, defense and human security, for PAYLOAD size reduction while optimizing quality and reducing the cost of energy consumption and multimedia data transport times.

The concept of resilience has always been a multidisciplinary one, presenting relevance in domains such as psychology, engineering, art, and ecology. However, nowadays, the notion has been gaining a crucial economic valence since the highly dynamic and complex context has been requesting new outlooks on how to manage shocks. Therefore, the study aims to present the main approaches and definitions in terms of economic resilience, by first going through a short history of the term, and then demonstrating the newly gained understandings and valences after 2020. To do that we will profile two groups of stakeholders: the international institutions, who are designing entire agendas based on the economic resilience priority, and the related literature, represented by experts who will approach the subject in depth, adding various research models. Followingly, in terms of methodology, we will first go through the most important references and definitions of the term in the pre-2020 period, followed by an overview of the emerging visions post-2020. For each period, we will then select 15 articles that tackled the economic resilience subject, and using textmining and sentiment analysis methods we will profile the most important ideas, correlated concepts, and general sentiments described in the literature. The results will show that the economic resilience concept has entered a new phase, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic, in which the attention has switched to a general interest in studying the external factors' impact, macroeconomic modeling, and general optimization. Lastly, we will observe how the end goal has been recalibrated to building long-term strategies focused on social, ecological, and political effects.

This paper offers a novel deep learning (DL)-powered Tiny machine learning (TinyML) model meticulously customized to recognize Arabic hand gestures (AHGs) executed in mid-air. The principal focus of this study lies in the intricate task of precisely classifying Arabic letters through these gestures. The paper provides a comprehensive exposition of the complex dataflow architecture, encompassing the processing of gyroscope and accelerometer data to derive precise 2D gesture coordinates. The pivotal role of convolutional neural networks in the DL model is elucidated, emphasizing their outstanding performance in reaching a level of accuracy of 94.2% in classifying diverse AHDs. This accuracy showcases the model's efficacy and robustness, underscoring its potential for real-time, practical deployments in scenarios of gesture recognition. The implications of this research extend beyond the immediate domain of Arabic letter recognition, contributing to the progress of TinyML applications in real-world gesture recognition apps.

Airport Collaborative Decision Making, Airport CDM or A-CDM in short is a concept being deployed at airports, which delivers operational efficiency and resilience improvements by improving the predictability of events during the progress of a flight and optimising the utilisation of resources and infrastructure. When implemented successfully, A-CDM facilitates improved collaboration between the typical A-CDM partners (airport operators, ATC units, aircraft operators and ground handlers) for optimal decision making by factoring in their priorities, preferences and constraints, for the actual and predicted situation. Originally focusing on large hubs, the adoption of A-CDM principles is getting more traction at smaller and regional airports as they see the benefits of thorough stakeholder collaboration. In this paper we will analyze the possibility of implementing the A-CDM concept at smaller airports up to 2 milion passengers.
