This work in progress paper explores the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) into educational support tools, particularly in studying basics of Natural Language Processing. It investigates how generative LLMs can align with Bloom's Taxonomy to support various learning levels, and how Prompt Engineering (PE) can improve communication with educational tools backed by LLMs. The approach involves planing integration LLMs into digital workbooks, employing techniques like Chain of Thoughts (CoT) and the Socratic method. These methods are utilized to provide tailored, interactive learning experiences that stimulate analytical thinking and deeper understanding of new concepts as well as providing instant response for coding exercises. Preliminary findings suggest that LLMs could significantly enhance the learning experience in coding education. The study suggests that PE combined with CoT and Socratic method could effectively addresses conversational problems with LLMs, enhancing learner engagement and understanding. This integration of LLMs facilitates a more dynamic form of learning, centered around dialogical exploration and practical experimentation, which aligns with the evolving objectives of lifelong learning. The ability to adapt and personalize knowledge acquisition to meet these ever-changing educational goals is a key advantage of this approach. The paper emphasizes the necessity for continuous research focused on the tailored integration of generative LLMs into educational tools. This involves employing PE techniques and leveraging a curated knowledge base to ensure that the LLMs' responses are both relevant and contextually appropriate for educational purposes.

Recently, point cloud semantic segmentation has played an important role in real-world applications such as autonomous driving and robotics. In this context, while recognized as an efficient semantic segmentation model with a good balance between performance and complexity, SqueezeSegv2 is still too heavy for resource-constrained devices. In this paper, we propose Lite-GrSeg, a compact and effective semantic segmentation model inspired by SqueezeSegv2. Lite-GrSeg adopts a cutting-edge design architecture that leverages SqueezeSegV2 with group convolution and spatial separable convolution to reduce the model's complexity. Additionally, Lite-GrSeg introduces a novel structure called the Spatial Context Aggregation Module (Spatial-CAM) to enhance the model's discriminability. Through the simulations benchmarked on the PandaSet dataset, Lite-GrSeg significantly reduces computational complexity and model size while presenting competitive segmentation accuracy compared to SqueezeSegV2, thus making it a compelling choice for lightweight applications and opening up exciting possibilities for development on resource-constrained IoT devices.

The measurement and analysis of heart rate play a pivotal role in health care, fitness monitoring, and stress assessment. It gives a comprehensive outline of the methodologies and techniques employed in heart rate analysis. We categorize these methods into two primary domains: hardware and software, with a particular focus on the software-based approaches. Within the software domain, we further classify methods into three subcategories: data-driven methods, model-based methods, and signal decomposition methods. Our review encompasses recent research published from 2017 to 2022, spanning a diverse range of applications and methodologies. We highlight the significance of heart rate analysis in various fields and discuss the limitations and challenges faced by current techniques. By categorizing and evaluating these methods, our review aims to provide valuable insights into the advancements in heart rate analysis, facilitating a better understanding of the state of the field. Through this comprehensive exploration, we intend to contribute to the ongoing dialogue in heart rate analysis and inspire further research in this critical area of study.

IoT in agriculture bought remarkable improvement in food production. It not only improves production. It enhances the quality of agricultural products and decreases the cost of labor. The architecture of IoT is analyzed. The current status of IoT in agriculture is discussed. Five key technologies were discussed: sensor perception technology, information processing, information transmission, radio-frequency identification, Geographic Information System technology, and Global Navigation Satellite System. The role of IoT in various agricultural operations, such as harvesting, fertilizer spray, and weed detection, is discussed in detail. The part of multiple sensors in agriculture is analyzed. The limitations of IoT and prospects are analyzed.

Extensive research on double-compressed image analysis has been performed in image forensics, referring to the widely adopted JPEG coding. However, as HEIF gains popularity for its efficiency in reducing file sizes while maintaining image quality, the lack of methods for detecting double HEIF compression becomes apparent. Traditional JPEG-based techniques are not directly applicable to HEIF due to their distinct coding algorithms. In this study, we build upon Farid'swork on coding ghosts in JPEG images and introduce a method to detect double-aligned compression and estimate initial quantization coefficients in HEIF images. Our experiments show that this method performs effectively when the difference between the first and second quantization parameters (QP) exceeds 5.

With the increasing power density of the geared transmissions and the demand of more and more reliable systems, lubrication is becoming a main concern. Optimizing the lubricant supply implies not only a reduction of the power losses and increase of the system efficiency, but also a decrease of the operating temperatures and higher reliability. This paper aims at presenting a mesh-less Lagrangian approach for the simulation of the churning of a spur gear pair. The numerical results have been validated via experimental measurements on a back-to-back test rig under different operating conditions. The models have been implemented in the open-source environment DualSPHysics. The results have been compared to experimental data as well as numerical results obtained with mesh-based approaches with the aim of assessing the accuracy of the new method.

Discrete Tchebichef moments are shape descriptors used in approximation theory;they provide optimal approximation for certain types of functions, such as images and signals, and they are used in computer vision for image representation and pattern recognition. However, the high dimensions of images may limit the use of these moments because of their high computational cost. There is a need for advanced algorithms to calculate these moments for higher orders efficiently. In this paper, we discuss the time complexity of the recursive relation of Tchebichef polynomials and propose the use of memoization, which is a dynamic programming technique to speed up the computation by storing the results of Tchebichef function calls. These values can be later used when needed, reducing time and memory costs. Time complexity has been reduced from O(2(n)) to linear time O(n), which is the best possible time complexity. Additionally, we presented various measurements, including a time cost comparison, the calculated nodes, the percentage of nodes calculated using the recursive and dynamic approaches, and finally the time cost comparison of the proposed dynamic approach and a state-of-the-art algorithm.

Decision support systems are used in a variety of fields. This paper considers a class of multisubject decision support systems with a geo-interface. The users of such systems are decision makers. The main purpose of any decision support system is to provide the information required by the user. In other words, the decision support system should satisfy the information needs of the user. To make this process more efficient, it is necessary to have a model of the user's information needs. This paper describes a model and a formalised iterative procedure for satisfying the user's information needs. This model is developed on the basis of thesaurus approach and allows to use original pragmatic and semantic evaluations of informativeness of spatial data. The methods of system analysis and ontological design, as well as methods of calculating the semantic similarity of concepts for thesauruses of the system and the user were used to create the model. The description of the user information needs model is based on the mathematical apparatus of set theory. The obtained results can be useful for solving the problem of creating effective methods of human-computer interaction. The use of the model and procedure for satisfying the user's information needs in the development of decision support systems allows to increase the efficiency of user interaction with the system to solve various applied problems.

In prenatal treatment necessitating the development of sophisticated approaches like deep neural network-based cardiography analysis to improve outcomes. This project examines prenatal health monitoring through cardiography data analysis applying deep neural networks. We propose a unique deep neural network approach trained on the fetal cardiotocography dataset obtaining an amazing 97% accuracy in forecasting prenatal health risk levels. Leveraging different cardiography characteristics. Our methodology provides comprehensive risk identification and preemptive healthcare treatments. Our strategy shows potential for transforming prenatal care practices and increasing maternal-fetal outcomes. This study serves as a cornerstone for future breakthroughs in prenatal care delivery. It offers enormous potential for enhancing worldwide maternal and fetal health standards.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution (so-called Industry 4.0) has had a fast growth. A lot of companies are investing more and more money in digital transformation. One of the main trends is using sensors to optimize and enhance industrial processes, as a part of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Sometimes it would be interesting having an intermediate platform to perform testing prior to deploy the complete IoT ecosystem. This is particularly important in two cases: (i) small and medium enterprises (SMEs), to reduce the risks of errors and minimize the impact of their investment, and (ii) R+D+i, where it is needed to evaluate solutions and perform experiments in a controlled way. Atenea Lab is a software-based platform that allows simulating a wide range of realistic IoT scenarios. It permits testing solutions, performing experiments, and evolving the technology readiness level (TRL) of prototypes reducing costs and making it easier to knowledge transfer.
