In this paper, we present a method for enhancing the accuracy of scene text recognition tasks by judging whether the image and text match each other. While previous studies focused on generating the recognition results from input images, our approach also considers the model's misrecognition results to understand its error tendencies, thus improving the text recognition pipeline. This method boosts text recognition accuracy by providing explicit feedback on the data that the model is likely to misrecognize by predicting correct or incorrect between the image and text. The experimental results on publicly available datasets demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms the baseline and state-of-the-art methods in scene text recognition.

This study presents a framework that allows for various types of checks to detect weaknesses in UAV subsystems. The UAV testing process is automated and allows the operator only to select the types of checks or types of structural and functional characteristics that the operator wants to test. To ensure the possibility of automated verification, implemented databases are used, which include a catalog of structural characteristics, threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks. These catalogs are many-to-many related, and thanks to these links, it is possible to identify threats or vulnerabilities specific to a particular structural characteristic. In essence, such an architecture is a knowledge base based on an ontological model. Thanks to this architecture of the system, it is enough for the operator to determine what types of structural characteristics need to be checked and the system will give him information about the vulnerabilities of the UAV.

This study explores the efficacy of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm as a diagnostic classifier for distinguishing between excessive spinal loading and other spinal conditions. By visualizing a multidimensional image classification dataset in three-dimensional space, distinct clusters corresponding to patients with scoliosis, spondylolisthesis, and normal spinal conditions were identified. Principal component analysis revealed a correlation between high weight-bearing loads and spondylolisthesis development, while scoliosis was associated with different factors. SVM training achieved a robust 97% accuracy when assessing cases beyond the training set, affirming its reliability in diagnosing spinal conditions. A customized exoskeleton prototype, designed to fit individual body measurements, was created for rehabilitation, postural support, and preventing spondylolisthesis. The integration of an Electric Actuator System offered active control and adaptability, albeit with higher initial expenses. The exoskeleton improved shoulder stability using Scapula Support Plates and Shoulder Support Plates (Acromion). These findings highlight the potential of both SVM technology and personalized exoskeletons in enhancing spinal health and posture.

The development of Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs) using a fleet of electric vehicles is one way of reducing the carbon footprint. In this study, we looked at optimizing electric vehicle routes in order to minimize energy consumption under constraints of vehicle capacity (trucks), client demand and battery capacity. The Simulation of Urban MObility tool is used to simulate road traffic and estimate the energy consumed by vehicles. In our study, we proposed a solution based on a constrained clustering approach.

Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) is a discipline focused on predicting the point at which systems or components will cease to perform as intended, typically measured as Remaining Useful Life (RUL). RUL serves as a vital decision-making tool for contingency planning, guiding the timing and nature of system maintenance. Historically, PHM has primarily been applied to hardware systems, with its application to software only recently explored. In a recent study we introduced a methodology and demonstrated how changes in software can impact the RUL of software. However, in practical software development, real-time performance is also influenced by various environmental attributes, including operating systems, clock speed, processor performance, RAM, machine core count and others. This research extends the analysis to assess how changes in environmental attributes, such as operating system and clock speed, affect RUL estimation in software. Findings are rigorously validated using real performance data from controlled test beds and compared with predictive model-generated data. Statistical validation, including regression analysis, supports the credibility of the results. The controlled test bed environment replicates and validates faults from real applications, ensuring a standardized assessment platform. This exploration yields actionable knowledge for software maintenance and optimization strategies, addressing a significant gap in the field of software health management.

Mental health problems are being very frequent for the employees at any workplace due to decreasing physical work and social interactions resulting more strain on mind leading to various mental health issues like anxiety, depression, irritability, frustration, and loss of zeal. Delay in detection of mental health issues can lead to severe health problems. In this paper, we implement the classification models like Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF) and K-Nearest Neighbor's (KNN). For this study, the dataset is taken from the Kaggle Repository. On comparing the performance of these models using Accuracy, Precision, Area under the Curve (AUC), we find that Decision Tree is the best-suited model with Kaggle dataset yielding the accuracy of 82%.

Eye blinking has been studied extensively due to its wide range of potential applications. However, one under-researched field is the use of the wider lacrimal area for detection. This paper proposes a new eye blinking detection method using a novel lacrimal aspect ratio (LAR) strategy that utilises eyebrow movement and eyes. The proposed algorithm estimates facial landmarks using an automatic facial landmark detector to extract a single scalar quantity by using LAR and characterizing eye opening and closing, and to detect both partial and full blinking in each frame using a LAR threshold. We set three threshold values, -2.4 and -2.6, and -2.9, to detect blinks by each frame. Experimental results show that our approach successfully detects eye blinks and can outperform other state-of-the-art works. The utilization of LAR in detecting blinks and partial blinks demonstrates its potential to offer a novel and informative metric for researchers. This approach also opens up possibilities for further eye-related investigations, including the recognition of emotions. With its low dimensionality and easily understandable time domain features, LAR provides an effective pathway towards achieving these goals.

Endometriosis is a complex gynecological condition characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus. Diagnosis and management of endometriosis are challenging due to diverse clinical manifestations and lack of definitive diagnostic methods. Medical imaging, particularly ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), has shown potential in visualizing and assessing endometriosis lesions. In this research paper, we review recent advances in machine learning algorithms applied to endometriosis diagnosis, focusing on the importance of training datasets in improving diagnostic accuracy. We analyze the contributions of various studies and discuss the challenges and future directions in this field.

Data management solutions became highly expensive and ineffective mainly due to the lack of transparent processes and procedures to measure and provide clear guidance on the steps needed to implement them. The organizations and specialists agree that the only manner solve the data management issues requires the implementation of data governance. Many of those attempts had failed previously because they were based only on IT, with rigid processes and activities frequently split by systems or the areas supported by systems and their data. It shows that Data governance has been acquiring significant relevance. However, a consensus or even a holist approach was not achieved so far. This paper that is part of an ongoing thesis research that aims to identify the main gaps and opportunities by summarizing and study the literature consistently and as result at the end of the research it will propose a standard framework for data governance measuring its impact on the Data Governance maturity level before and after its implementation and thus as contribute to the community by trying to mitigate the problems found.
