The scope of this paper is to analyze the web analytics of a Next Generation Digital Learning Environment (NGDLE), which was part of a European initiative, specifically focusing on how platform engagement was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic waves and the mandatory e-schooling in Europe. Emphasis was given to the Bounce Rate (%) variable, a metric to estimate the platform's effectiveness in retaining its users. This was achieved by applying a classification problem, comparing different machine learning models, and identifying the most contributing features. The study revealed patterns in the data, providing an overview of user engagement in the e-service while unfolding the complex relationships among the features and the need for robust analysis. Finally, it highlighted features contributing to the target variable Bounce Rate (%) that could be further explored to enhance the VLE.

In this paper, we propose to use an alternative to the classical Kalman filter (KF) to slave the movement of a robot manipulator to the measurements delivered by a far-infrared reflectometry sensor. This alternative, called Guess filter (GF), uses fuzzy rought set theory and possibilistic inference. It is particularly suited to measurements that are both imprecise and inaccurate. We compare the ability of GF and KF approaches to be used to control a robot on a simulated experience that favors neither approach.

The rapid evolution of the digital economy is accompanied by fundamental changes in the labour market, specifically concerning the increasing demands for new skills and knowledge. This necessitates updating educational standards, curricula, and content across various disciplines. In this context, the adoption of an interdisciplinary approach to curriculum development in computer engineering and digital transformation is well justified. This approach aligns with both international and European educational standards and competency frameworks. To implement this approach effectively, a Neo4j-based graph model for a digital transformation educational program has been developed, enabling connections between curriculum components. Through the application of Cypher, a cumulative effect has been demonstrated from the concurrent study of disciplines from two critical educational fields: Business, Administration, and Law;and Information and Communication Technologies. The paper details the analytical tasks that can be executed using this graph database and outlines potential directions for its further enhancement.

This research examines the integration of information and communication technologies in education (ICTE) among teachers, as part of an exploration to evaluate a global model for the successful implementation of ICTE in education. The results revealed widespread adoption of ICTE by teachers, with the majority having used these technologies over a long period of time (60%), testifying to their growing recognition in pedagogical practices. Teachers also noted a positive impact of ICTE on learners' skills (76%), although there were discrepancies as to their effect on student engagement and motivation). At the same time, challenges remain, including the limited availability of equipment in schools (58%), and the ongoing need for teacher training and support. Overall, this research highlights the growing importance of ICTE in education, while underlining the challenges and professional development needs for more effective integration of these technologies into educational practic.

The interpretation of the classification result obtained with a fuzzy decision tree is a not-so-easy task as the meaning of the obtained degrees of membership may depend on the type of fuzzy partition involved, ranging from probabilistic to possibilistic readings. Hybrid probabilistic-possibilistic mixtures can provide an interesting way to clarify the underlying components of such a classification result. In this paper, based on the hybrid-mixture model, a new approach is proposed to analyse the result of the classification with a fuzzy decision tree that enhance the explainability of this model.

The study presented in the following pages involved 15 students from the Master of Music Therapy program who were asked to compose music using the *** website. Participants found the workspace very intuitive for creating music. The challenge was to create musical pieces that reflect their identity, with the aim of self-discovery and translating a description of themselves into music. The activity demonstrated that, through artificial intelligence, even those with no experience in music composition can express themselves artistically in a therapeutic way. The results suggest that the use of AI in music therapy can facilitate the process of self-exploration and provide an accessible means of artistic expression for all individuals, regardless of their previous musical abilities.

The EU's AI legislation has initiated the world's first concrete regulation of AI. With the adoption of uniform rules, the legislation seeks to position Europe as a reliable global center for AI. These rules guide AI development, marketing, and utilization within the EU. The AI Act's implementation ensures the safety of AI systems and the adherence to fundamental rights and values. The EU is committed to fostering the Single Market in AI development by encouraging investment and innovation and enhancing governance and oversight. AI is greatly utilized in cyber security. For example, using AI, anomaly-based intrusion detection systems (IDSs) evaluate an entity's typical behaviour. Any significant deviation from this usual behaviour is thus seen by the system as abnormal and hence as an intrusion. According to Sommer and Paxson [1], AI enables the identification of entirely new threats as well as updates to established attacks. IDSs may be further divided into groups based on the kinds of algorithms they use. To create intelligent solutions, AI improves the ability to extract knowledge from massive amounts of data. With little assistance from humans, an AI system may provide data-driven conclusions, forecasts, and assessments based on what it has discovered from prior data. Since AI is widely used in cyber security and the use of AI is regulated by the new AI Act, the effects of this law must also be addressed in cyber resilience education.

We believe that project-based learning is one of the most effective tools for synthesizing and consolidating digital technologies and interactive teaching methods at a pedagogical university. Modeling of students' project activities ensures their targeted professional training with the use of digital technologies and computer mathematics systems, stimulates student collaboration and integration of their knowledge from different disciplines. The purpose of the study is to analyze the effectiveness of implementing students' project activities in the educational environment of a higher education institution. The main tasks are to analyze current trends in higher education, study approaches to modeling projects in mathematics and computer science, develop and implement methods and tools for project-based learning by students, and evaluate the results, the impact of this process on the educational environment and students' academic achievements. Telepresence Robots (TPRs) are gaining popularity in higher education due to their potential benefits, such as facilitating remote teacher lectures and enhancing student accessibility. However, their integration presents challenges, including maneuverability limitations, physical and behavioral issues, and user experience and training needs. This paper explores innovative methods for upskilling educators to use TPRs effectively in higher education settings. To this end, three approaches were used: Robot Rally Design, Virtual Tours with a TPR, and a Mini-lecture. The first approach saw participants operating TPRs in a dedicated room with a robot rally track set up elsewhere. The second approach investigated using TPRs to facilitate virtual guided tours, with one individual serving as the TPR driver. The third approach was a mini-lecture, which included active teaching methods to prepare teachers for using TPRs. According to the pilot results, all activities helped increase situational awareness and understanding of TPRs and their application in the learning process. The rally improved participants' confidence and proficiency in using the robot interface and driving. Guided tours with TPRs provided an immersive remote exploration experience. Integrating mini-lectures with hands-on sessions enhanced user proficiency and understanding of TPR applications. Further research is needed to develop a concise teacher-training program and evaluate the effectiveness of combining all three approaches into one workshop.

The research conducted in a technical university environment has nearly a decade of history, which we first reported on in the context of the 21st International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL2018), analyzing the connections between Digital Transformation and Interactive Collaborative Learning. The five-year project was understandably affected by the rapid transformation of the educational environment due to COVID-19, and the reinterpreted online teaching space [1] posed a new challenge. This study aims to systematize the lessons learned from the implementation phase of the project's results and present the methodological experiences we gained in the practice of engineering and professional teacher training. The micro-content created by the students, on their initiative, with the visual presentation technique of their choice, made it possible to analyze the micro-content developed by 230 students in the context of the case study in terms of genre and professional methodology. In the current phase of the project's implementation, a university-level knowledge repository has been created, which is based on the characteristics of community content development, is not profit-oriented, and at the same time, provides an opportunity to share the development competencies acquired in professional teacher training in an open innovation space. The development history of the Open Content Development project, especially the online turn in teaching and learning, shows the impact of Open Science on everyday practice.
