Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) is a discipline focused on predicting the point at which systems or components will cease to perform as intended, typically measured as Remaining Useful Life (RUL). RUL serves as a vital decision-making tool for contingency planning, guiding the timing and nature of system maintenance. Historically, PHM has primarily been applied to hardware systems, with its application to software only recently explored. In a recent study we introduced a methodology and demonstrated how changes in software can impact the RUL of software. However, in practical software development, real-time performance is also influenced by various environmental attributes, including operating systems, clock speed, processor performance, RAM, machine core count and others. This research extends the analysis to assess how changes in environmental attributes, such as operating system and clock speed, affect RUL estimation in software. Findings are rigorously validated using real performance data from controlled test beds and compared with predictive model-generated data. Statistical validation, including regression analysis, supports the credibility of the results. The controlled test bed environment replicates and validates faults from real applications, ensuring a standardized assessment platform. This exploration yields actionable knowledge for software maintenance and optimization strategies, addressing a significant gap in the field of software health management.

This study presents a framework that allows for various types of checks to detect weaknesses in UAV subsystems. The UAV testing process is automated and allows the operator only to select the types of checks or types of structural and functional characteristics that the operator wants to test. To ensure the possibility of automated verification, implemented databases are used, which include a catalog of structural characteristics, threats, vulnerabilities, and attacks. These catalogs are many-to-many related, and thanks to these links, it is possible to identify threats or vulnerabilities specific to a particular structural characteristic. In essence, such an architecture is a knowledge base based on an ontological model. Thanks to this architecture of the system, it is enough for the operator to determine what types of structural characteristics need to be checked and the system will give him information about the vulnerabilities of the UAV.

Mental health problems are being very frequent for the employees at any workplace due to decreasing physical work and social interactions resulting more strain on mind leading to various mental health issues like anxiety, depression, irritability, frustration, and loss of zeal. Delay in detection of mental health issues can lead to severe health problems. In this paper, we implement the classification models like Logistic Regression (LR), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF) and K-Nearest Neighbor's (KNN). For this study, the dataset is taken from the Kaggle Repository. On comparing the performance of these models using Accuracy, Precision, Area under the Curve (AUC), we find that Decision Tree is the best-suited model with Kaggle dataset yielding the accuracy of 82%.

Fire accidents can take innumerable lives and cause fatal damage to residential, commercial, and industrial properties if not controlled in time. To address this issue and to ensure proper fire extinguishing and to control fire in time, there is the need of designing a system that is portable and could be easily carried along by the single person and can be assembled on the spot to assist the firefighters which makes it an advanced system. In this paper, a concept of portable firefighting robot named Varuna is put forward and developed. Varuna refers to the god of sea and rain according to Vedic literature. This robot uses water to extinguish fire, hence the name Varuna. It has the competence to traverse uneven surfaces and floors inside buildings. It can provide the live streaming video describing the environment over the fire scene to control unit. Also, it provides the reading of the temperature and humidity at the spot so as to inform whether the place is safe for human interference. Many such robots can be carried by the firefighters along with them and assembled within minutes and can be deployed at that place to work synchronously with the help of remote control.

The primordial role of agriculture in the existence and future of humankind is clearly represented in the sustainable developmental goals (SDG) defined by the United Nations. A large amount of data is generated in agricultural research. However, it is still unknown if this data complies with the FAIR principles for scientific data management. This study aims at investigating the status quo of the data repositories in agriculture in terms of its data findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability. For this, a search strategy that includes the application of multiple filters has been executed to obtain a simplified list of data repositories. The most frequent keywords contained in data repositories within the main fields of agriculture were used to obtain a reduced list of repositories devoted the agricultural data.

Eye blinking has been studied extensively due to its wide range of potential applications. However, one under-researched field is the use of the wider lacrimal area for detection. This paper proposes a new eye blinking detection method using a novel lacrimal aspect ratio (LAR) strategy that utilises eyebrow movement and eyes. The proposed algorithm estimates facial landmarks using an automatic facial landmark detector to extract a single scalar quantity by using LAR and characterizing eye opening and closing, and to detect both partial and full blinking in each frame using a LAR threshold. We set three threshold values, -2.4 and -2.6, and -2.9, to detect blinks by each frame. Experimental results show that our approach successfully detects eye blinks and can outperform other state-of-the-art works. The utilization of LAR in detecting blinks and partial blinks demonstrates its potential to offer a novel and informative metric for researchers. This approach also opens up possibilities for further eye-related investigations, including the recognition of emotions. With its low dimensionality and easily understandable time domain features, LAR provides an effective pathway towards achieving these goals.

In this paper, we present a method for enhancing the accuracy of scene text recognition tasks by judging whether the image and text match each other. While previous studies focused on generating the recognition results from input images, our approach also considers the model's misrecognition results to understand its error tendencies, thus improving the text recognition pipeline. This method boosts text recognition accuracy by providing explicit feedback on the data that the model is likely to misrecognize by predicting correct or incorrect between the image and text. The experimental results on publicly available datasets demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms the baseline and state-of-the-art methods in scene text recognition.

This paper is focused on the analysis of the causal relationships of the quality of management in primary schools, measured through the application of modern management techniques through time, technology and process management, and the improvement of the functioning quality of primary schools as educational institutions. The assumption stays that connection between efficient time management and the application of modern technologies in schools points to the expectation that managers who apply modern technologies optimize time more efficiently and therefore all processes in the schools. The research was conducted in Sarajevo Canton, and the sample used in the research was a convenience target one. The population as the basic statistical mass from which the sample is extracted consists of principals of primary schools in the Canton of Sarajevo, while the size of the sample itself is 57 principals who duly filled out the sent questionnaire. The questionnaire is made up of six segments, five of which measure attitudes related to time management, operations management, use of digital technologies, competence development and leadership styles, with an additional sixth segment that includes the demographic characteristics of the respondents, thus principals. The aim of the paper is to test the impact of modern management techniques usage and digital technologies in the work process of the principal on improving the quality perception in the functioning of primary schools in Sarajevo Canton.

People experience light only in wavelengths from 400 to 750 nm. However, matter absorbs and reflects light in a much broader spectrum. This paper introduces dual design of images intended for separate recognition in two spectral areas. Two images are located on a textile jacket in the same print and at the same spot. Human eye sees one image, while the other image is visible by infrared cameras. The difference in visibility results from different responses of dyes. The paper introduces a new way of presentation, numerical measurement, and mixing of dyes called "Twins of colors and dyes". This consists of two sets of dyes that are identical in colors in the visible spectrum but manifest differently in the near-infrared area. Our research results in a double image on a textile jacket, yet dual graphics can lead to many other applications. Examples include forensics, where the relationship between the two images can either reveal or hide significant information.
