Mental health issues are becoming more prevalent among university students. The mindful self-compassion (MSC) training program, which was introduced to address this issue, has shown some efficacy. However, many people, particularly Japanese people, have difficulty recalling visual imagery or feel uncomfortable or resistant to treating themselves with compassion. This study proposes and develops a system that uses virtual space and avatars to help individuals improve their self-compassion. In the proposed system, the user first selects an avatar of a person with whom to talk (hereafter referred to as "partner"), and then talks about the problem to the avatar of his/her choice. Next, the user changes viewpoints and listens to the problem as the partner's avatar and responds with compassion. Finally, the user returns to his/her own avatar and listens to the compassionate response spoken as the partner avatar. We first conducted surveys to understand the important system components, and then developed prototypes. In light of the results of the experiments, we improved the prototype by introducing a generative AI. The first prototype used the user's spoken voice as it was, but the improved system uses the generative AI to organize and convert the voice and present it. In addition, we added a function to generate and add advice with compression. The proposed system is expected to contribute to the improvement of students' self-compassion.

The adaptation of Large Language Models (LLMs) to specialized domains such as biomedicine holds significant promise for advancing Natural Language Processing (NLP) applications in healthcare and medical research. In this survey, we investigate various techniques and approaches for adapting LLMs to better understand and process biomedical text. We explore the challenges faced by LLMs in biomedical tasks, including the presence of specialized terminology and the scarcity of annotated datasets. The survey discusses adaptation techniques such as training LLMs from scratch, fine-tuning on biomedical data, and injecting domain-specific knowledge. Furthermore, we compare the efficacy of these techniques and highlight their advantages and challenges. Our examination reveals that while each approach offers distinct benefits, the choice depends on factors such as available resources, task requirements, and desired performance outcomes. Finally, we outline future research directions focusing on knowledge integration in the biomedical domain to enhance the capabilities of LLMs and their potential impact on healthcare and medical research.

This paper introduces the "Novel QR Code-Based Hybrid Knowledge Graph Note (QrKno) System," a transformative approach to higher education that seamlessly integrates analog and digital methods, leveraging the Knowledge Network Tag Model and Learning Management System (LMS) within the realm of Eduinformatics. QrKno revolutionizes student engagement and active learning by enabling students to effortlessly transition from traditional note-taking to creating structured digital knowledge graphs. In this system, students bring pre-printed sheets with their student ID and name to each class. These sheets contain QR codes that enable the seamless transition from analog note-taking to digital knowledge graph creation. Students capture the content of the lecture in a structured digital format, fostering deeper comprehension and reflection. The QrKno system addresses challenges in higher education, including timely feedback and bridging the gap between secondary and tertiary education. It offers benefits for both students and educators, allowing instructors to allocate more time for meaningful teaching.

The results of the stepwise computations are saved in memory slots, for possible reuse. The extended calculus reduces unnecessary iterations of assignments, which are chains of unnecessary assignments, by copying values of terms from one memory slot to another, without any essential algorithmic changes. The primary applications of the chain-free type theory of recursion are for computational semantics of formal and natural languages, including programming languages and compilers.

In this work, we introduce the design of a Battery-Assisted Passive (BAP) Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) tag incorporating sensing capabilities. The tag operates at the Ultra High Frequency (UHF) band to allow remote detection and data exchange. Designed for environmental monitoring in both industrial indoor facilities and outdoor environments, the tag is characterized by a general purpose microcontroller facilitating the data transmission between the RFID interface and the sensors. Particularly, the RFID chip integrated in the proposed system is configured as bridge for SPI communications, whereas the RFID reader acts as master node. Up on reader requests, the microcontroller triggers the required sensor to perform a measurement which result is stored in the RFID chip memory, easily accessible by the reader throughout standard RFID protocol operations. The tag encapsulates temperature, relative humidity, pressure, and 3D acceleration sensors. After the tag antenna design, fabrication, and system integration, the whole proposed system is verified experimentally in operating conditions to show its reliability.

The paper aims to understand the challenges junior high school teachers face in evaluating students' performance in physical education in online classes. The researcher collected the data via open-ended questionnaires through Google Forms. Six junior high school physical education teachers participated in the study. The data were analyzed for patterns that might offer insight into junior high school teachers' challenges in assessing students' physical education performance in online classes. The findings of this study focus primarily on the difficulties encountered by teachers in schools, such as financial reasons that result in the unavailability of equipment like smartphones, laptops, or even tablets to conduct a class. Additionally, limited strategies and approaches are utilized in an online class setup that restricts the capabilities of the teachers in applying a better learning process in which the students could maximize learning.

This article presents a method for graffiti identification based on the analysis of its dominant colors using artificial intelligence. The method employs a K-Means clustering algorithm to group the pixels of a graffiti image according to their color values in the Red, Green, Blue or The Lab color space. From this clustering, the dominant colors of each group are extracted and ranked by their prevalence. This approach enables the characterization of the predominant colors in graffiti, facilitating their subsequent localization and analysis in a database.

Small businesses are an important part of many countries' economies, providing jobs, and generating income. It could be a key driver of economic growth. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) also certainly experience problems in keeping up with the times, especially in the field of technology. In this study, the authors wanted to know the constraints of using technology for small and medium enterprise (SME) for business owners or customers. The purpose of this literature review of this study is to address the influence of dynamic capability factors on SME performance. This systematic literature review applies a qualitative descriptive method including formulating a title, abstract, analysis, and summary. This systematic literature review uses 14 online databases namely Academia, ACM, ***, ***, Emerald, Google Scholar, ***, IEEE, MDPI, Online LibraryWiley, ResearchGate, ScienceDirect, Semantic Scholar, Taylor & Francis. According to the findings, researchers found about 134 articles to be candidate papers from 2,491,509 articles. Then, researchers selected as selected papers about 59 articles that SMEs should consider when deciding whether to implement dynamic capabilities. By using the keywords "SMEs Performance ", "Dynamic Capability", "SMEs", these studies are from various continents, which are from Asia with 133 Countries, Europe with 46 countries, Australia with 5, Africa with 3 countries, and America with 3 countries, with different study programs, which are Business, Computing, and others. There are 137 aspects variables that are divided into seven clusters, which are Technology, Innovation, External, Capability, Entrepreneurial, Process, and Organization.

Nowadays, the use of IoT devices is widely standardised in different areas of our lives, from work, home, educational institutions, etc. Such amount of sensing data needs to be controlled in an efficient way, and FOG computing is one of the most used paradigms in this kind of environments, due to its ability to solve the computational needs of data generating devices, reducing the traffic between them and decentralising the data processing. Due to the constant growth of IoT environments, the FOG layer must be able to configure and scale as the infrastructure grows, adapting to the new computational requirements of the environment. These operations are still performed manually by system administrators, resulting in an inefficient and error-prone practice. This work proposes the design and development of a FOG layer capable of dynamically controlling the configuration of the logical components of the layer, providing the infrastructure with new nodes, a coordinator and a balancer, alongside the existing FOG processor nodes. The coordinator node balances the load distribution for the processor nodes, while the balancer will perform the load distribution under the coordinator's guidelines. This proposal automates the operation of IoT infrastructures, provisioning with the minimum resources to cover the computational needs. To validate the proposal, the model has been deployed on the campus of the University of Alicante as a FOG layer of the sensorisation system.

There is a well-known trilemma in the blockchain: "A block-chain system can only at most have two of the following three features: decentralization, scalability, and security." In this article, we propose a healthcare blockchain system for Electronic Health Records (EHRs) with all three features, namely decentralization, security, and scalability. We present a novel model for EHRs sharing that prioritizes all three features using InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) to store patient EHRs. The proposed system protects the privacy of content addresses and enables efficient access revocation by creating a pool on InterPlanetary Naming System (IPNS). In addition, the proposed system modifies the mapping whenever the patient revokes access of any doctor's address. The proposed system allows healthcare providers to add patients' EHRs after the patient's approval. The patient's approval ensures the authenticity and integrity of the patient's EHRs while sharing with other healthcare providers. As a result, the proposed system effectively addresses privacy concerns, enables access revocation, and ensures the authenticity and integrity of patient EHRs, thus offering a robust solution for secure and efficient EHRs sharing in the healthcare domain achieving all three features: decentralization, security, and scalability.
