The paper briefly explains the development of the EN 1090 standard through the theoretical part where the general data of the standard is presented, and in the practical part one of the requirements of the standard is analyzed where its application to thermal cutting of steel sheets is shown. It is necessary to provide a standard in which the basic characteristics of the semi-finished product (microstructure of the material) are changed only up to the permitted limits, because changes greater than the permitted greatly affect the behavior of the components during the next steps in the production process. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The Deep Q-Learning is a reinforcement learning algorithm that is proposed by the research for developing autonomous automobiles. The research used the advanced and latest technologies and libraries to develop a virtual automobile that is autonomous. The proposed model is implemented using neural networks, which take the state "S" as input vector x and forecast the following potential action "a" that, according to the state-action value function, will be the most profitable. In the virtual environment developed by the research, the automobile, which is the agent, moves randomly and takes random actions continuously. These are stored and used to train the neural network in the ratio of dataset 60–20–20%. After random state travel and training, the agent is able to learn on its own to drive. This is achieved by rewarding the agent by +a for a correct or expected action and penalizing the agent by −p for a wrong or unexpected action. By doing so, the agent is able to drive in the lane and avoid the obstacles. The research is fully software-based and virtual, thus no requirement of hardware except for a computer. The research also studies reinforcement learning and the DQN algorithm to enhance the learning of the readers in the domain of AI. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The necessity for the use of information technology in the Thailand university organization is extremely demanding. Therefore, this research aims (1) to develop a prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao and (2) to evaluate satisfaction with the prototype of the job description management information system for supporting staff at the University of Phayao. The research tools were (1) the prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao and (2) the questionnaire to assess the prototype of the information system to support the management of job descriptions for supporting staff at the University of Phayao. The prototyping process uses seven processes of the system development life cycle (SDLC), an established process. The research population was 18 University of Phayao employees representing each department of the University of Phayao. The study found that the developed prototype program was in the highest demand among university staff, with an average of 4.18 and an SD of 0.13. This research paper is intended to study and implement the development of a PHP-based system of an online collectable items marketplace which can onboard multiple users and sellers while keeping a singular admin account. The research intensely focuses on adapting modern techniques of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Pattern matching algorithms to optimize search times, secure multilayer encryption techniques for login and purchase modules, overall security from XSS attacks in the input fields while documenting the work and meanwhile proposing a system with a rich feature set to satisfy user requirements. The development cycle one has been intensely studied with usability testing and a tabular representation of the results. The global landmarks defined by the Concept of Sustainable Development reinforce the requirements for the digital support of management processes in all areas of the modern economy. The most promising step in this process is to integrate the capabilities of various digital tools and technologies into a single ecosystem. Thanks to the use of a common concept, a single ideology and unified requirements, building ecosystems provides better conditions for progressive transformations in the sustainable system of production and consumption, compared to traditional integrated structures. In this context, the research aimed at substantiating the use of digital services in tourism to build the infrastructure of a "Smart city" is quite demanded. The article provides an overview of scientific publications related to the digital opportunities of the ecosystem and considers modern trends in the development of digital technologies in tourism. On this basis, the authors formulate the goals and objectives of the study, as well as determine a set of relevant research methods. Their application provides the necessary methodological and statistical substantiation of the results obtained, including the implementation of government initiatives in the field of a smart city, the expansion of new digital services in the tourism sector and the development of universal platforms for digital interaction. According to the results of the study, a conclusion about the need to expand the range of digital services is made. The reliance on the Internet is growing steadily day by day, making susceptible to various security risks such as code injection, session hijacking, Denial-of-Service attacks, etc. These attacks threaten the CIA triad, that is, Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. As a result, ensuring uninterrupted security has become a demanding undertaking. Of all the options available, a honeypot is one of the best security mechanisms an organization can rely on. It is a system used as a trap for threat actors to believe it is a real system. The study of tricks and their attack vectors enables an understanding of potential security vulnerabilities, allowing for the implementation of measures to safeguard assets before any compromise occurs. This work presents the development of a real organizational network on the AWS Cloud, with a focus on enhancing cyber security measures. The network includes an all-in-one honeypot, TPOT, and vulnerable web servers on one server, while a secure web server and database server are deployed on another. The system aims to detect nine different types of attacks, such as DoS, brute force, and XSS, leveraging the T-Pot framework to analyze attack parameters. The crucial aspect of log monitoring is addressed through AWS Cloud Watch, which logs all processes on the connected instances. Additionally, Route 53 health checks are used to analyze traffic levels and implement necessary mitigation strategies. This comprehensive network setup offers a robust defense against potential cyber threats, ensuring the organization's security and enabling proactive measures to safeguard its digital assets. Pressure Controlled Ventilation (PCV) is a commonly used mode of mechanical ventilation that allows for better control of airway pressure. The Endotracheal Tubes (ETTs) used in this mode of artificial ventilation can, under certain conditions, affect Partial Pressure of Carbon Dioxide (PCO2) values in addition to other well-known factors such as Respiratory Frequency (RF) and Tidal Volume (VT). We developed a mathematical model of the respiratory system during PCV, incorporating, in addition to the resistance and compliance of the respiratory system, the linear and non-linear mode resistance of a variety of ETTs with Internal Diameters (ID) ranging from 6.5 to 9 mm. The impact of these ETT resistances on PCO2 was studied under different RF. Our results demonstrated the validity of the models, and in addition to the known effect of RF, the non-linear resistance of the ETT has a significant impact on PCO2 during PCV particularly for leads with an ID of less than 7 mm. For this reason, the use of small-diameter Endotracheal tubes should be taken into consideration when setting mechanical ventilation parameters to ensure adequate ventilation without complication. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.

In the current era of digital technology, computational thinking has become a crucial skill for understanding and analysing the informatics concepts behind every digital occurrence. While research has looked at the effectiveness of technology in education, limited studies have examined the potential of social cognitive learning with a mobile computing approach in developing computational thinking skills among students. This study aimed to analyse students’ perceptions of social cognitive learning using mobile computing to improve their computational skills. Using quantitative methods and purposive sampling, 135 students from Indonesia and the Philippines who were enrolled in social science subjects, using mobile computing with social science concepts, and interested in participating were surveyed. The study found that most students believed that social cognitive learning using mobile computing could significantly enhance their computational thinking skills. Implications were drawn from the study, such as the need for lecturers to have a thorough understanding of technology, various learning activities, and mobile computing apps to improve students’ computational skills and foster a future-oriented mindset. The appropriate social cognitive teaching stages and class design were also suggested as effective ways of developing computational thinking skills. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd 2024.

The purpose of this study is to investigate route search algorithms in the transportation system, focusing on the application of algorithms such as Floyd-Worschell, Dijkstra and A* algorithms. The paper compares the above algorithms in a transportation system. A characterization of their efficiency and stability for urban transportation systems is obtained. The study used a mixed method combining theoretical, computational and empirical methods. Gene expression analysis plays a crucial role in understanding biological processes and diseases. However, the high-dimensional nature of gene expression data poses challenges for its analysis and interpretation. Clustering algorithms have been widely used for identifying patterns in gene expression data, but their effectiveness is limited by the choice of algorithm and parameters used. In this study, we propose an approach for optimizing gene expression analysis using clustering algorithms. Initially, a range of clustering techniques were assessed, encompassing K-means, hierarchical clustering, and DBSCAN. This assessment was conducted using gene expression information sourced from a publicly accessible database. Subsequently, various techniques for feature selection were employed. These techniques encompassed principal component analysis (PCA) as well as correlation-based feature selection (CFS). Their objective was twofold: to decrease the data's dimensionality and to enhance the effectiveness of the clustering process. From the study, we came to know that the combination of K-means clustering with PCA feature selection outperformed other methods in terms of clustering accuracy and stability. We also identified a set of genes that were consistently associated with different clusters, providing insights into the underlying biological processes. Overall, our study demonstrates the importance of careful algorithm and parameter selection for gene expression analysis and highlights the potential of clustering algorithms for identifying meaningful patterns in gene expression data. The suggested methodology entails merging DBSCAN with K-means clustering, which could be extended to diverse high-dimensional datasets for the enhancement of their analysis and comprehension. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
