In today's technologically driven society, artificial intelligence (AI) permeates every aspect of our lives, from mobile voice assistants and self-driving cars to sophisticated diagnostic tools in healthcare. Despite AI's rapid evolution and its potential to transcend human intelligence, its deployment is not without challenges, especially when migrating legacy systems to AI. This paper introduces the Advanced Application Pre-migration (AAP) Approach, a novel pre-migration framework designed to assist enterprises in evaluating their readiness for AI migration. The AAP Approach employs a mathematical model to analyze existing applications, facilitating informed decision-making by calculating an Application Assessment Point (AAPP) and an AAP Confidence Level (ACL). These metrics provide a quantitative basis for assessing the impact and feasibility of AI migration, thereby enabling organizations to navigate the complexities of transitioning from traditional to intelligent systems. We discuss the significance of AI in modern contexts, the necessity for ethical considerations, and the implications of AI integration across various sectors. The proposed methodology aims to mitigate risks, optimize resource allocation, and ensure that the transition to AI complements human capabilities rather than supplants them. By establishing a structured pre-migration assessment process, the AAP Approach contributes to the strategic planning and successful implementation of AI technologies in legacy systems.

This investigation delves into the intricate interplay among the propagation of COVID-19, the turbulence in oil prices, and the noteworthy responses to the epidemic within Saudi Arabia. Employing a coherence wavelet analysis of daily datasets specific to Saudi Arabia, the study illuminates the pronounced influence of both COVID-19 and oil price shocks on stock market volatility across short/low-frequency bands. Notably, the impact of COVID-19 on the financial market surpasses that of Saudi oil prices, underlining its classification as a distinct economic crisis. The findings underscore urgent, consequential implications and advocate for pragmatic measures to mitigate the ramifications of COVID-19.

In mainstream sport there are several issues regarding gender equality and acceptance of several minority members such as LGBTQI+ members, elders or even disabled. The Inclusion in Sport (iSport) project plans to educate sporting event organizers on how to take more inclusive decisions. For this purpose, a narrative based, two-dimensional serious game was designed and developed. During the game the player has to answer quizzes that either make them rate incidents they encountered while playing the game or decide as if they were event organizers themselves. Each answer provides them with a certain number of points according to its correctness. They can compare their score with others in the leaderboard's scene, that help them be more engaged and motivated to participate. In that direction, the serious game also has mini games with different mechanics that are designed to make the game more fun and challenging apart from its learning purpose. Our future steps include the evaluation of the game by experts and players.

Research on Higher Education Institutions (HEI) has scantly considered stress and uncivil behaviour as interrelated phenomena. The study presented here was conducted at the University of Siena using an online questionnaire. A total of 160 employees, 80 administrative and technicians (PTA), and 80 faculty participated in the study. The questionnaire presented both a scale for measuring perceived stress and a scale for determining the occurrence of uncivil behaviour, whether only perceived or also perpetrated. Concerning perceived stress levels, several differences emerged: females reported higher stress levels than males and faculty more so than administrative and technicians. An interesting relationship was found between perceived stress and occupation namely that untenured workers perceived higher stress levels. Uncivil behaviour, when perpetrated, appears to be mainly a male phenomenon, while the perception of uncivil behaviour is more evident in faculty. The results also show that the perception of uncivil behaviour, particularly for younger people and women, increases the perception of stress. Conversely, regardless of age or gender, the stress and the perception of uncivil behaviour increase the occurrence of uncivil behaviours.

The paper reports a case study investigating the impact that participation in RoboCupJunior (RCJ) competitions had on the participating students including their educational choices, career decisions, and what impacts they think the competition had years after their participation. RoboCupJunior is an educational robotics competition promoting global collaboration among participating students. RCJ has demonstrated the ability to engage students in robotics and offers a unique learning opportunity for STEM, CS, AI, and robotics education and engaged learning. Since 2000 when the first RCJ event was held in Melbourne, Australia, there are 600-1,000+ students participated in the annual RCJ competition each year. A lot more teams and students participate in each region (country) since all Junior teams go through the regional (national) selection events before joining the annual event. Currently, there are over 40 regions (countries) holding Junior activities and the interest is growing every year. We have witnessed the impact it has on the Junior teams for many years. However, what proves the impact of RCJ as of today is anecdotal accounts mainly from the observations by RCJ organizers, team mentors and teachers, and the stories shared by RCJ participants. The case study investigates and reports the longitudinal impacts of RCJ participation on the team members.

The aim of this study is to aid and encourage autistic children to learn the Arabic alphabet with supervision of their mentors and instructors. This is done by creating a mobile AR application, LearnIT, which shows the Arabic alphabet letter visualized as an overlaid augmented object whose name begins with the letter on the given flashcards. LearnIT provides animations and sound effects related to the 3D objects in an attempt to boost the children's enthusiasm for learning and memorizing the alphabet as proven in many studies that using animations in education is one of the most powerful instructional tool for teaching individuals with special needs. The evaluation metrics that will be used to test the effectiveness of LearnIT in the study are computational assessment and engagement questionnaire. The computational assessment will be done by matching the correct letter that corresponds with a visualized 3d object and its related word. While the other evaluation tool targets the child's caregiver by providing a questionnaire that assess the child's level of engagement and experience while using LearnIT.

The term "readiness" is often referred to in pedagogical and psychological literature devoted to the organization of educational processes, especially in dissertation studies. Meanwhile, readiness is understood as the ability of a future specialist to perform a certain type of activity. This article suggests a feasible approach to solving criterion challenges that a teacher may face in fostering or developing readiness for any type of activity, illustrated by a specific discipline. Given the evolution of advanced skills, which today's specialists must possess for quick and effective problem solving, such skills as the use of technology, monitoring, and control are deemed relevant and well-timed. This is what this study is devoted to. Given the complexity and interconnectedness of the factors determining the future engineering teachers' readiness to create and use DEC in professional activities, it is imperative to input those assumptions whereby the obtained results would be valid. This article describes the developed indicators of readiness to create and use DEC and gives examples of their calculation.

The pairwise comparison matrix is often used in different multi-criteria decision-making methods. The matrix identification process is related to the curse of dimensionality because as the size of the matrix increases, the number of queries to experts increases exponentially. One such method is a Characteristic Objects METhod (COMET) which requires building a Matrix of Expert Judgments (MEJ) in order to evaluate alternatives. However, to build MEJ, a decision maker or an expert should answer multiple pairwise comparison questions, which can be expensive in both financial and time terms. In this paper, we propose an algorithm that efficiently reduces the number of pairwise comparison questions to an expert. The algorithm is based on the triads' consistency and achieves more than ninety percent reduction in questions for big expert judgment matrices. Although the original algorithm is proposed for the COMET method, it could be generalized and used with such methods as RANking COMparison (RANCOM) and Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The efficiency of the algorithm is proved using a simulation approach. The results of those simulations, as well as the pseudocodes, are presented in the paper.

As 3D printing technology transforms product design and manufacturing, educational programs must incorporate its principles to prepare engineering students for the workforce. Establishing dedicated labs and integrating 3D printing into higher education curricula has become popular among universities and colleges. However, insufficient attention is paid to using this learning practice to apply knowledge of engineering fundamentals and develop skills for implementing efficient and reliable additive manufacturing processes. Therefore, new approaches are needed to increase the pedagogical value of this learning practice. This study explores the effectiveness of the project-based learning (PBL) approach for enhancing the understanding of mathematical, engineering, and 3D printing concepts and their application by mechanical engineering students. We developed a pilot course, "Engineering and mathematical applications in 3D printing," for junior and senior-year students. The course included lectures on design for additive manufacturing (DfAM), 3D printing technologies, printability, and troubleshooting, as well as project tasks involving the design and fabrication of functional objects such as asymmetric spinning-tops, Pythagorean cups, and print-in-place mechanisms. In the study, we examined how participants applied their mathematical and engineering knowledge to solve complex design challenges using 3D printing technology, and their perceptions of the learning experience. Using an exploratory research design, data were collected through observations, student works, and post-course questionnaires. The findings indicate that the students successfully completed the project tasks, demonstrating their ability to apply engineering principles and optimize designs for 3D printing. The students highly appreciated the course's project-oriented format and its contribution to their understanding of 3D printing.
