When analyzing the current situation of bicycle lanes in the city of Cuenca, it can be observed that within the competent institutions, there are plans and projects managed to improve mobility through non-motorized vehicles. In addition, there is a vision to continue creating bicycle lanes, although the information has not been widely disseminated to the public. One of the reasons behind this situation is the lack of updated information and its inefficient structure for end users. The objective of this research was to develop the mobile application Cuencabike for the promotion of bicycle tourism in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador. In the methodology used, the visual cartographic analysis stands out as the most applicable method of the research employing maps. As a result, a technological proposal is obtained that allows tourists and inhabitants of the city to obtain detailed information about the bicycle paths and points related to the tourist sites of the city. Through a development with the IONIC framework and the Google Maps MyMaps tool, the CuencaBike application was generated, which integrates information on all current routes and those being planned. Each of the routes generated has points of tourist interest, as well as sections where you can view the information of the different mechanics, parking, and public bike dispensers that facilitates users to have all this information organized and updated.

A service-learning project, the so-called OSOR (Open-source and SOcial Responsibility) have been implemented from 2018 to 2022 in the "Manufacturing Technology" (MT) subject. Its aim is to manufacture products to assist people in a dependency situation. We investigate how the OSOR evolution has affected students' learning outcomes, the subject's significance, the level of difficulty, and other factors. We identified four main variants, which depended on internal and external factors. We discovered that the various variants had no effect on MT's final score. The COVID-19 pandemic in the academic year 2019-2020 reduced hands-on activities and, presumably, the acquisition of essential technical knowledge. Regardless of the implemented format, a sizable portion of students thought theMT subject was fascinating and crucial to their future jobs. The introduction of an assigned patient and the ill-defined nature of cases could be the reason for an increase in the perceived subject difficulty. Additionally, this may help to explain why students' general feedback focused less on the OSOR and more on their overall 'satisfaction with the subject'. Having complete creative freedom and control over the deliverables during variant 1 gave a higher level of satisfaction than working on scenarios with loose requirements imposed by actual patients during variants 2 to 4. The most notable products were successfully produced despite the challenges in variants 3 and 4 being more complex. The final poll for the upcoming edition of OSOR will include particular questions to evaluate the development of social responsibility competency.

In this paper, we present a robot model inspired by Schilling's models, which can be used as an illustrative tool for teaching mathematics in universities according to today's requirements. Using LEGO SPIKE Prime educational robot kits, we designed a complex, custom-drawing robot capable of representing epi- and hypotrochoid curves. This article considers the program description, which is implemented through an operator's console or mobile phone to assess simultaneously the reaction of each participant in the experiment and the group as a whole to visual triggers that can vary in two ways: the digit value (from 0 to 9) - the digit color. Once the experiment is completed, individual and group performance scores of the complex sensorimotor reaction of the participants are displayed on the monitor screen, and the corresponding system database is generated for further processing and analysis of the results. Running the experiment with a program to test the sensorimotor reaction of a computer operator ensured high reliability in selecting computer operators and increased the technological capacity of the assessment by determining the efficiency of the complex sensorimotor reaction of a human operator rather than the time. This article provides the results of assessing the effectiveness of the complex sensorimotor reaction of a computer operator under group and individual conditions and presents their comparative values.

Writing Lab, at Tecnologico de Monterrey (Mexico), has become a signature center to enhance the academic production of its nationwide faculty. Unlike other writing centers, Writing Lab is aimed at assisting faculty and at-large collaborators. The mentors are volunteer experienced researchers who are helping interested junior faculty members, the mentees, to develop publication and research skills. Much attention has been given to the development of resources and programs for mentees to complement the mentorship process;however, we lack a clear understanding as to the motivations behind mentors' enrolment and what we can do to support their mentoring tasks. The research question is "what are the motivations for peer mentoring at Writing Lab within the framework of the institution?". We created an online survey to collect data from mentors through email (convenient sampling), which were later subjected to text analysis using the SWOT technique approach. The findings report mentors come to Writing Lab seeking recognition, prestige, and new avenues of production without losing sight of their senior status as researchers. Mentorships are structured interactions where the mentor takes a directive role in illustrating and discovering new competences to mentees (traditional model).

The research focuses on examining teaching proposals that promote active learning (AL) in the Electrical Engineering degree program (EEDP) at the Faculty of Engineering (FI) of Universidad de la Republica. It aims to identify and characterize these proposals, their strengths and weaknesses, and explore opportunities for their development and sustainability. This work is part of an ongoing doctoral thesis on innovative teaching strategies for engineering education. Six EEDP courses were analyzed using texts provided by teachers, non-participant classroom observations, and interviews with teachers and students. The research questions focus on the goals and characteristics of the implemented AL methodologies, strengths and weaknesses perceived by teachers, and positive and negative aspects highlighted by students. The findings revealed shared features, such as enhancing competencies, strategies, and skills, and promoting student interaction through collaborative learning. Teachers and students appreciated these proposals, with teachers emphasizing the importance of institutional support and forming teaching teams for development and sustainability. Students recognized the challenges involved while valuing the opportunity to apply knowledge in practical contexts. The enduring experiences were recognized by an appropriate teacher student ratio and required significant dedication from both parties. Latin American public universities face obstacles in transforming teaching practices due to limited resources related to student numbers. Thus, strategic curriculum incorporating AL initiatives at specific stages becomes crucial. This planning fosters relevant skills development, strengthens student-teacher relationships, and reduces dropout rates.

Themethodologies and systematic approaches used for method validation and uncertainty calculations depend on the nature of the tests and calibrations conducted. The declaration of conformity holds significant importance within the standard. Normative references exist that enable the formulation of this declaration through specific methodologies, which require evaluating uncertainty across various scenarios. In this study, we present a methodology that aims to establish a higher level of confidence in declarations of conformity by formulating hypotheses and quantifying the associated risks. This proposed approach facilitates a more comprehensive analysis of the declarations issued. The methodology has been successfully implemented in accredited laboratories specializing in both physical testing and chemical testing. Our findings demonstrate that this methodology is applicable to laboratories across various testing domains, irrespective of their respective areas of specialization.

With the research conducted, in recent times in the sectors where the different plants have been cultivated, the soil has been degraded, for that reason it must be fertilized with organic and chemical products, during the harvest it must be moistened with fungicides to dispense with diseases and pests within the crop, there is a water irrigation system to keep the soil moist during growth and development.
