This document proposes an innovative approach to color image encryption, based on an enhanced version of the Feistel scheme. This approach utilizes the widely employed chaotic maps within the realm of cryptography, notably the logistic map and the PWLCM map, to operate at the binary level on blocks of pseudo-random dimensions. Following this step, a genetically designed crossover process specifically tailored for image encryption is applied to the resulting vector, supervised by a random decision table. Subsequently, the result of the Feistel scheme is divided into 3m sub-vectors, each with a size of (1;8n), and each block is confused with a pseudo-random block of the same size, depending on the values of the decision table. Simulations conducted by our algorithm on many randomly selected images from a database have revealed highly promising statistical and differential results, thus ensuring the robustness of our cryptography system.

Website visitor segmentation is crucial for effective web presence management and online marketing. We explore methods for grouping website visitors based on user behaviour and incorporating their interests, using the GPT3 language model to analyze the text content of viewed pages content and build user profiles. In our method, the language model GPT3 is used to summarize the content a user visited to build a meaningful user profile, and to answer queries concerning the interests of the users. We then segment the users via text based topic modelling. Our findings indicate that our method of classifying user interests through text analysis and direct language model queries offers high transparency and versatility, surpassing traditional segmentation techniques. Users are characterized in clear profiles, and queries can be tailored to specific interests.

New challenges and opportunities have arisen in the field of engineering education and research with the advent of Internet of Things (IoT). Due to the fast technological progress in the use of IoT, a need has been identified for engineering students to learn IoT concepts easily, with focus on hands-on activity [1]. Using a reconfigurable platform in studying IoT concepts offers advantages regarding scalability, adaptability, costs, small size, power consumption and above all, having the possibility to host various applications. The motivation behind this paper emerged from the increasing importance of IoT in various sectors and the need to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. The main goal of this paper is to present a comprehensive perspective of IoT laboratories using reconfigurable platform with PSoC Analog Coprocessor, highlighting their design and implementation and their potential in enhancing the hands-on learning experiences for students. The reconfigurability nature of the platform is explored, highlighting its customizability to meet the educational needs. Illustrating the implementation IoT laboratories based on reconfigurable platform with Analog Coprocessor in engineering education, showcasing the enhanced learning outcomes and engaging experience by students and improvement of their understanding of IoT concepts.

This paper investigated how unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can enhance nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) mobile-edge computing (MEC) in the Internet of Things (IoT) by acting as relay stations for ground base stations (BSs). We derived closed-form formulations for Successful Computation Probability (SCP) in accordance with Nakagami-mm fading modeled for assessing system effectiveness. Furthermore, we provided a SCP maximization problem that improved UAV deployment location using the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method. Finally, numerical results demonstrated that parameters such as UAV's transmit signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), edge devices (EDs)' number, antennas of BS, and UAV deployment location significantly impacted system offload performance, which is confirmed by Monte Carlo simulations.

This paper proposes a personal data protection system for online exam proctoring that complies with Indonesian personal data protection laws. Ratified in 2022, the Government of Indonesia provides a grace period until 2024 in implementing this Law to prepare related parties to adapt their services to electronic and non-electronic based. Later violations of this Law can be subject to criminal penalties of 4-6 years, a maximum fine of 6 billion Rupiah per incident, and a maximum sanction of 2% of total annual income. This is a different motivation for related parties to ensure compliance with the PDP Law. Here we propose applying the data labeling model in combination with Fusion/UML to provide access control and guarantee privacy for access to personal data to comply with the PDP Law. We illustrate the design that we are proposing with a case study for Face Recognition-based remote proctoring in an online proctoring Learning Management System that runs at our institution.

A single-item inventory model for deteriorating items under fuzzy sense is formulated and solved. In this paper, a methodology for identifying process inventory variables that significantly affect process resource consumption is proposed. Since human processes in the operation and an inadequate time management system, measuring grinding time is challenging and inconsistent. This framework takes into account the challenges and unavailability of measuring these data. This paper's goal is to reduce the overall cost of developing the new process and consume time. We defuzzified the model using Trapezoidal Fuzzy Numbers (TFN)& Graded Mean Integration (GMI). The Lagrangian Method and the Fuzzy Inventory model with the help of Python (Histogram) and MATLAB (Mesh grid) are used to maximize profit.

Natural Language Processing (NLP) plays an important role in our daily lives, particularly due to the enormous progress of Large Language Models (LLM). However, NLP has many fairness-critical use cases, e.g., as an expert system in recruitment or as an LLM-based tutor in education. Since NLP is based on human language, potentially harmful biases can diffuse into NLP systems and produce unfair results, discriminate against minorities, or generate legal issues. Hence, it is important to develop a fairness certification for NLP approaches. We follow a qualitative research approach towards a fairness certification for NLP. In particular, we have reviewed a large body of literature on algorithmic fairness, and we have conducted semi-structured expert interviews with a wide range of experts from that area. We have systematically devised six fairness criteria for NLP, which can be further refined into 18 sub-categories. Our criteria offer a foundation for operationalizing and testing processes to certify fairness, both from the perspective of the auditor and the audited organization.

Sophisticated and robust image security and encryption methods tend to be slow in execution and their effectiveness decreases in noisy environments. To address these challenges, this paper designs a fast and efficient image security approach for IoT applications. The approach employs a robust truncated AES algorithm for the encryption process, which is implemented on reduced-size images using a Gaussian pyramid approach. It provides a concise summary of image encryption techniques. Then, it introduces a quick and effective Gaussian pyramid (GP)-based encryption technique. The proposed method demonstrates enhanced performance in noisy environments by performing encryption in the luminance component after converting to the LAB color space. The effectiveness is compared using entropy analysis and assessment of visual artifacts. It is observed that encryption techniques are negatively impacted by noise attacks. The proposed method's performance is further evaluated under various noise variations and compared against the RSA algorithm.

Data provides valuable information and insights and assists in making strategic decisions. The quality of the data is distorted by noise, which negatively affects information, insights, and decisions made. It also influences a machine learning model's complexity, accuracy, results, and ability to learn. Therefore, the correct model should be married with the appropriate dataset whilst taking cognisance of data noise. The study's objective is to identify machine learning techniques for class noise detection by considering various strengths and weaknesses to aid in selecting the correct model. Asystematic literature review was used as a research approach and resulted in a taxonomy for noise treatment to classify machine learning class noise detection techniques whilst considering strengths and weaknesses of the techniques. Further research should focus on machine learning techniques to make selecting the appropriate data noise detection or managing approach easier.

The field of design education is vast, necessitating a combination of theoretical and practical teaching methods. Finding the best solution to a complex design problem requires the application of precise tools and appropriate methodologies. With so many distinct design approaches in use, it is crucial for a designer to have conceptual clarity and thorough understanding of these approaches to achieve the intended design outcomes. This entails ensuring that aspiring designers are adequately informed about design methodologies and know when and how to apply them. This study investigates the potential of virtual reality (VR) as a teaching tool at the conceptual design stage for novice designers. Virtual reality and augmented reality have begun to be used in a variety of fields, thanks to advancements in immersive technology and computing infrastructure. To help design students strengthen their fundamentals by visualising concepts and reducing the likelihood of confusion due to the lack of model-based learning, this study focuses on using VR to help them learn various design methodologies. It also guides the students in applying these methodologies strategically for optimal and effective results. The final solution is a smartphone-based VR app that integrates artificial intelligence and can be used with google cardboard to give students an immersive learning experience. This VR app-developed using insights from forty-eight survey responses-can help students visualise a complex design principle in a highly immersive and lucid way. Moreover, by looking at the ideas and models from a range of viewpoints, designers and students can generate highly creative designs and manage the complexity of the design problem in an elegant manner.
