The paper explores the potential of integrating blockchain technology into the e-voting system to address inherent challenges such as fraud and trustworthiness. Traditional voting systems face vulnerabilities that can compromise the integrity of the election process. Leveraging the decentralized nature of blockchain and the robustness of Ethereum smart contracts, this paper proposes a system that ensures the anonymity of voters while maintaining the transparency and immutability of each vote cast. By employing the Proof of Work (PoW) consensus mechanism, it aims to validate genuine transactions and eliminate fraudulent votes. Voter authentication within the proposed system is strengthened through a combination of biometrics and multi-factor authentication, ensuring a robust and multi-layered security approach. To further fortify this approach, a hybrid database model combining a secure centralized and decentralized database is suggested to cross-check and validate the authenticity of votes. Conclusively, by harnessing the power of blockchain technology and integrating it with e-voting systems, the proposal envisions an efficient, transparent, and secure electoral process.

This study proposes the utilisation of contemporary technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs) and chatbots to automate the process of resume screening, thereby diminishing prejudices and enhancing communication between recruiters and candidates. Algorithms based on LLM can greatly transform the process of screening by improving both its speed and accuracy. By integrating chatbots, it becomes possible to have personalised interactions with candidates and streamline the process of scheduling interviews. This strategy accelerates the hiring process while maintaining principles of justice and ethics. Its objective is to improve algorithms and procedures to meet changing requirements and enhance the competitive advantage of talent acquisition within organisations.

We consider the marginal problem in Dempster-Shafer theory, investigating the structure of a suitable set of bivariate joint belief functions having fixed marginals, by relying on copula theory. Next, we formulate two Kantorovich-like optimal transport problems, either seeking to minimize the Choquet integral of a given cost function with respect to the reference set of joint belief functions or its dual functional. We finally give a noticeable application by choosing a metric as cost function: this permits to define pessimistic and optimistic Choquet-Wasserstein pseudo-distances, that can be used to compare belief functions on the same space.

Applications of data-based modeling tools in medical diagnosis are one of the most promising trends in the healthcare field, which has been expedited by the increasingly common usage of various measuring devices and monitoring systems. This paper addresses one such application, namely the classification of gait patterns in cerebral palsy patients, using various kinetic and kinematic measurements describing the walking patterns. In order to address the data fusion challenge resultant from the multi-sensor environment, while also meeting the desirable explainability properties of medical models, this paper proposes a multi-view ensemble approach based on multiple fuzzy rule based classifiers, each one assigned to a single sensor and its measurements. The proposed approach is tested on four different problems with different gait pattern anomalies, using data from real subjects obtained using state-of-art biomechanical methods and standard clinical procedures.

In traditional production assembly lines, conveyors are widely used to move components from one workstation to another. The conveyor belt must stop and stay at each workstation for a specific period of time and wait until activated. Then the assembly operation is complete before the conveyor can move the components to the other workstation. Conveyor downtime accumulates and lengthens the entire assembly process. This causes a decrease in overall production efficiency, especially in automated assembly lines. This study presents a method that can increase the productivity of an assembly line by assembling moving objects on a conveyor belt using image processing and manipulators. One monocular camera is attached at the end-effector of 6DOF robot. It will apply the image processing algorithm to detect objects to be assembled on the conveyor belt. After that, the position and angle of the object are calculated and transformed to robot coordinate through transformation matrix obtained from the camera calibration process. The assembly process will be performed based on the calculated position and direction of the object and the speed of the conveyor belt. Through experiments, the system proves to have high reliability and stability and meets the requirements of industrial assembly. The system is also easy to install and maintain.

Despite recent progress in reducing road fatalities in Croatia, there remains a substantial need for enhanced road safety measures. This paper investigates the factors contributing to severe road traffic accidents, with a particular focus on speeding. It analyzes the proportion of speeding-related accidents across urban areas, highways, and rural roads. Additionally, it proposes measures to improve speed control by extending authority to local bodies and road infrastructure managers.
