This research explores an innovative methodology employing Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) to evaluate the key success factors influencing digital marketing effectiveness within the food retail industry. In a dynamic market environment where digital strategies are integral to organizational success, understanding and prioritizing critical success factors is imperative. Traditional evaluation methods often struggle to capture the inherent uncertainties associated with multifaceted dimensions such as social media engagement, content relevance, and campaign performance. Leveraging FAHP, this study presents a comprehensive and adaptive framework designed to address the complexities of the digital marketing landscape. The proposed methodology incorporates fuzzy logic and linguistic variables into the AHP model, accommodating the inherent vagueness and subjectivity in expert judgments. Through the lens of FAHP, to identify, rank, and quantify the significance of key success factors in digital marketing for food retail. The approach not only provides a structured decision-making framework for industry practitioners but also enhances our understanding of the dynamic relationships between these factors. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, this research contributes valuable insights to the academic discourse and equips food retail businesses with tools to optimize their digital marketing strategies, decision-making processes, and foster competitiveness in an evolving market environment.

Network traffic sampling is an effective method for understanding the behavior and dynamics of a network, being essential to assist network planning and management. Tasks such as controlling Service Level Agreements or Quality of Service, as well as planning the capacity and the safety of a network can benefit from traffic sampling advantages. The main objective of this paper is focused on evaluating the impact of sampling network traffic on: (i) achieving a low-overhead estimation of the network state and (ii) assessing the statistical properties that sampled network traffic presents regarding the eventual persistence of LongRange Dependence (LRD). For that, different Hurst parameter estimators have been used. Facing the impact of LRD on network congestion and traffic engineering, this work will help clarify the suitability of distinct sampling techniques in accurate network analysis.

Rapid progression in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and deep learning technologies has led to integration into IoT (Internet of Things), raising the concept of AIoT (Artificial Internet of Things). AIoT enhances capabilities by merging AI's decision-making with IoT's network of interconnected devices and systems. However, this integration also presents significant cybersecurity challenges. Understanding these challenges necessitates a focus on the core principles of cybersecurity: the protection of data Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability. As IoT networks expand, securing a vast number of devices becomes crucial. Yet, AIoT introduces inherent complexities and new security concerns. Compromised deep learning algorithms could manipulate AIoT operations, thus threatening the overall security posture. Moreover, as devices continually communicate and share data, protecting this information against breaches, manipulations, or disruptions is critical. In an increasingly connected world, stakeholders must prioritize safeguarding these advanced systems. Emphasizing cybersecurity principles in the AIoT landscape is essential to realize its full potential without compromising security.

Hadoop stands as a cornerstone in the realm of big data processing, with its Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) serving as a pivotal layer ensuring fault tolerance and high throughput data storage. Through mechanisms such as block replication and cluster-wide distribution, HDFS facilitates parallel computing in higher layers. However, the inherent heterogeneity within Hadoop clusters introduces complexities, particularly concerning the reliability of stored data. The failure of DataNodes within heterogeneous clusters poses a significant risk, potentially leading to data loss and compromising data reliability. Notably, the default block recovery strategy within HDFS overlooks the varying capacities of data nodes and the diverse patterns of data access, rendering it inadequate for heterogeneous environments. To address this gap, we first propose a novel approach for block recovery selection based on dueling double deep Q-networks, augmented with Gaussian Process Regression. We further formulate block recovery placement as an optimization problem in heterogeneous clusters, show its NP-completeness, and design an approximation algorithm that leverages linear programming-based iterative rounding (LPIR-BR), which offers a robust performance guarantee. Extensive experimental results validates the efficacy of LPIR-BR, showcasing its superiority over existing algorithms and affirming the soundness of our theoretical framework.

This paper presents a comprehensive study of the water situation in Morocco and the challenges facing the management of this sector. Despite facing a decrease in freshwater availability due to droughts, population growth, and climate change, Morocco has implemented various measures to transcend these issues. These include the construction of large and small dams, the mobilization of conventional and non-conventional water resources and efforts to expand access to potable water. However, in such a context marked by the rise of new technologies and increasing levels of water stress, moving towards smart water management is no longer an option. Water loss in Water Distribution networks (WDN) is one of the problems facing Morocco. Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools are used in detecting leaks in these networks, which is why it is so important to present smart water management to optimize the management of this natural resource. This article aims to provide researchers with the water situation in Morocco, the importance of smart water management, and the AI solutions available to optimize water management and reduce losses in Morocco's water distribution networks.

With the widespread adoption of machine learning in recent times, numerous practical and theoretical studies have been conducted to enablemachines to learn rare events. Making successful predictions for the minority class in imbalanced datasets has become increasingly crucial. We propose a new method, Genetic Dual Borderline SMOTE, to improve prediction accuracy for imbalanced datasets. The steps of the newly developed SMOTEmethod, along with its performance, have been compared with frequently used SMOTE, Borderline SMOTE, and K-Means SMOTE methods across eight datasets and four different machine learning algorithms. We used F-1 score of the minority class as the metric for performance evaluation and comparison. Various parameter combinations have been tested for each machine learning model and SMOTE method, and the parameters yielding the best F1 score for each model and SMOTE pair have been used. Our results show that the Genetic Dual Borderline SMOTE method outperforms other SMOTE methods, providing more successful outcomes.

Predicting the Duration of Professional Tennis Matches Using MLR, CART, SVR and ANN Techniques 1

This research aims to predict the duration of professional tennis matches by utilizing a dataset that includes player statistics, match characteristics and court attributes. Various machine learning techniques, such as multiple linear regression (MLR), classification and regression trees (CART), support vector regression (SVR) and artificial neural networks (ANN), are applied for this purpose. The study involves a comprehensive dataset spanning professional tournaments from 1993 to 2022. Separate predictive models were developed for tournaments played over 3 and 5 sets employing the corresponding ML techniques and their performances were compared. The findings revealed that the predictive models with MLR and SVR methods excel in best-of-3 set matches, while the ones with SVR and ANN exhibit superior performance for best-of-5 set matches. This research contributes valuable insights into the factors influencing match duration and aids in developing more effective predictive models for tennis events.

The work is devoted to the use of modern programming languages in solving the problem of developing a hardware platform emulator used for debugging the developed software of embedded systems. The authors perform a research of the performance characteristics of modern programming languages in performing certain operations and algorithms most often used in the process of emulating embedded systems using the software developed as part of the research. The paper discusses the characteristics of existing emulators of built systems and offers recommendations for developing an emulator that has higher performance characteristics and more efficient support potential for it as a software product. The emergence of the edge computing concept, such as in smart lighting control systems, is because the computing system proposed by the cloud concept often causes delays. The problem is that the end device of the Internet of things (IoT), such as NodeMCU as the device target for placing edge computing programs, has limited resources. This paper proposes a Quantized 8-bit K-Nearest Neighbor (Q8KNN), a novel quantization method that performs model compression on KNN with our case study, the smart lighting control systems, using NodeMCU. Firstly, we have created a novel and accurate smart lighting design that we proposed. The design uses edge computing and KNN models to predict the control data. Then we developed a quantization method to make the KNN model fit into the NodeMCU. Finally, we test the performance of our novel compression model using the Accuracy and Compression Ratio (CR) metrics. The test results show that the number of unique values that change due to quantization does not cause a cardinality problem. Then Q8KNN can provide CR up to 1.6 times. With a smaller model size, Q8KNN can increase the number of training samples in the NodeMCU memory. So, using the same model size, the original KNN gives an accuracy of 94% while Q8KNN can provide up to 98%.

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) is ametabolic disorder that is currently highly prevalent in the world. The increasing prevalence of T2DM and its impact on patients' quality of life highlights the urgency of research to identify factors that affect their quality of life. These factors can be analyzed using the Fuzyy-Analytical Hierarchy Process (FAHP) method. The main reason underlying the use of the FAHP method is that it can be used to develop a deeper understanding of how to deal with uncertainty and ambiguity in various contexts. The application of the FAHP method in this study is implemented using secondary data to provide recommendations for improving quality of life by knowing the factors that most affect quality of life. The research data consisted of 4 variables, such as quality of life, physical activity, medication adherence and acceptance of the disease with a total of 105 patient respondents. The results from the FAHP method show that physical activity is the treatment that has the most influence on the quality of life of T2D patients with a weight of 0.508.
