The reach of technology stretches across a wide variety of domains: from the health industry to entertainment and gaming. Software programming undoubtedly plays a major role in modern technology. Therefore, computer science and programming education is of the utmost importance. In our research, we aim to investigate the best approaches and languages to be used to introduce programming to students and others wishing to learn to program. Indeed, there are numerous approaches to learning programming and lots of existing research regarding these approaches. There are also numerous programming languages and types of audiences. We highlight various methods that can be used to teach programming, and how those approaches can best be matched to different programming languages and audiences. We build upon existing research to reach conclusions, and we conduct our own survey that involves computer science students, computer science teachers, and software development professionals. Our goal is not to promote a certain approach or to promote a particular programming language. Rather, we find correlations and provide recommendations regarding which languages are most suitable for different approaches and audiences.

Nowadays, urban transportation practices have a significant negative impact on various sectors in cities, including health, the environment, the economy, and social well-being. Personal and passenger transportation are one of the primary sources of urban carbon emissions. The notion of "green mobility" often refers to modes of travel and transportation systems that prioritize environmental preservation and sustainability, by reducing their ecological footprint. In addition to this notion, the concept of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) has attracted much attention in recent years focused on reducing personal transport vehicles usage through different transport models like ride-sharing, car-sharing and micro-mobility. These concepts are innovative urban models solutions that can significantly reduce the negative impact of urbanization. In this work we present a proposal of a collaborative system aimed at contributing to fostering the concept of MaaS in the context of green mobility, using electric motorcycles as the basis for the proposal and method of transportation. As smartphones and social media usage grow among young people, particularly in Arab communities, the risk of encountering cyberbullying and harmful content increases. However, existing cyberbullying detection solutions are primarily tailored for English, leaving Arabic users underserved. This study addresses this gap by developing improved detection models for Arabic content. Through training various classifiers with annotated Arabic datasets, including traditional machine learning and deep learning techniques, this research aims to enhance the effectiveness of cyberbullying detection in Arabic online spaces, collected from three different platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube). Additionally, we conducted domain-specific data extraction from our existing datasets, focusing solely on political discourse. This was followed by testing the extracted data with deep learning algorithms. The results indicate that the proposed model outperforms other classifiers examined in the study. The overall enhancement achieved by the proposed model reaches an accuracy of 89% compared to the best-performing classifier.

The new generation of video coding standards, known as VVC, has greatly improved the quality of video coding. The rate-distortion optimization technique must be executed for each division mode while dividing the coding unit (CU). This method increases the complexity of the coding process and time. A VVC intracomplexity prediction algorithm is proposed that utilized the size-adaptive computational neural network. This algorithm aims to create a pre-decision dictionary that considers the various constraints of a given pooling layer and then uses a Convolutional Neural Network model to perform an adaptive decision on the pool size. This method can reduce coding time and avoid unnecessary rate-distortion optimization. Based on the study findings, the suggested technique can decrease the coding time by 43.285% and raise the delta bit rate by a mere 0.575%.

It has been evidenced that Disney films during the last decade, address stories where their message gives different values to the audience through characters that narrate themes about friendship, family and death, being represented throughout their film production in order to generate a positive impact on their audience. Because of this, the present research raises the question: How are values presented in the characters of the movie Soul? Therefore, the qualitative phenomenological methodology was used, applying the content analysis method, with the use of the observation technique and the observation sheet as an instrument. From the data obtained in the results, it was obtained that the presence of positive attitudes in the analyzed characters was of a higher percentage, and in their feelings and emotions anger, joy and fear predominate. Therefore, it is concluded that the flat/round, static/dynamic, linear/contrasting characters of the movie "Alma" go through crucial circumstances that are necessary for them to have changes in their behavior, attitudes, expressions, feelings and dimensions, and in this way manifest positive values. In summary, the research presented summarizes that the Disney film "Soul" is a transmitter of values and has the ability to change the emotions of the audience to contribute to their personal development and create a self-criticism of their environment.

This study explores the integration of machine learning (ML) technologies in precision agriculture, with a specific focus on the application of drones equipped with advanced sensors. The core of this research lies in the deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to facilitate real-time identification and classification of key agricultural factors, particularly crop health. In this work, YOLOv8 is trained on annotated datasets comprising both RGB and Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) images and its performance was compared with Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. The study reveals that YOLOv8 exhibits superior performance compared to SVM for both types of images, achieving an average accuracy rate of 86.5%. This highlights the pivotal role of integrating drone technology and sensory vision in revolutionizing precision agriculture, offering valuable insights into the future of smart cities and sustainable farming, especially in areas with limited water resources.

The field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has seen an exponential growth in recent years, with new models being created that achieve almost human-level accuracy in various tasks. However, this increase in accuracy sacrifices a key aspect for critical fields like medicine and finance, which is interpretability. This led to the rise of Explainability in Artificial Intelligence (XAI), which works towards giving more trustworthiness and transparency to these black-box models by generating explanations that translate the decision-making process of these models. One of the posing challenges in this field is to properly quantitatively evaluate these XAI methods due to limited research. This systematic review gives an overview of the current trends in the state-of-the-art for quantitative evaluation methods for evaluating XAI methods, giving more insight on what a good explanation should be and what properties it should meet. Then, we propose an evaluation benchmark based on the reviewed literature, comprising the properties we deemed most important to be met by an explanation. Finally, we present the limitations and challenges this field still poses and directions for future research.

Religious literature is among the most widely read ones. The Bible is the normative corpus for Christians. However, it is not a trivial text to read, due to its high degree of literary and linguistic variability, making sermon construction a laborious activity. This work proposes a method, called SwarmaBle, for automating the construction of Biblical sermons through a combination of natural language processing and swarm intelligence. The study combines quantitative and qualitative assessments of SwarmaBle, exploring its sensitivity to two hyperparameters and presenting a discussion about expert-evaluated recommended passages. The results show a consistent performance of SwarmaBle, achieving an average performance above 70% in the quantitative analysis. Domain experts reported positive evaluations regarding SwarmaBle's ability to recommend meaningful Biblical passages for the given topic.

We present a prototype for the generation of Wikipedia articles from Wikidata in multiple languages. For the generation we leverage the multilingual resources in the GF Resource Grammars Library (RGL), the GF WordNet and the existing labels in Wikidata. The result is a system where we get an out-of-the-box baseline generation for currently 26 languages which can be quickly adjusted by hand to produce publishing quality documents.
