Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have led to the evolution of the Web (from 1.0 to 4.0 with trends towards 5.0), offering more and better services to users worldwide. New opportunities to optimize learning now exist thanks to the application of these technologies in the field of education. The concept of smart learning has become increasingly popular since advanced web technologies are aligned with modern, innovative pedagogical approaches to make learning environments smarter. From the perspective of ICT students, and future teachers in a Technology-Enhanced Learning Environment (TELE), this study explores the educational potential of web technologies. Toward this end, twenty-nine ICT students participated in an e-course lab during an academic course. The e-course lab was designed based on constructivist approaches (Project based learning and collaborative strategies) and then implemented by integrating, among others, fifteen prominent web technologies in the form of web tools in an e-learning platform. As part of their e-course lab experience, learners recorded the advantages and disadvantages of each tool, along with their pedagogical value. Even though the tools serve different educational needs, a comparative analysis of the potential smart learning affordances was conducted based on this recording. The results are encouraging, providing empirical data for future research in the field of educational technology, as well as good practices for the design of smart learning environments (SLEs).

In this study, we propose an automatic diary generation system that uses information from past joint experiences with the aim of increasing the favorability for robots through shared experiences between humans and robots. For the verbalization of the robot's memory, the system applies a large-scale language model, which is a rapidly developing field. Since this model does not have memories of experiences, it generates a diary by receiving information from joint experiences. As an experiment, a robot and a human went for a walk and generated a diary with interaction and dialogue history. The proposed diary achieved high scores in "comfort" and "performance" in the evaluation of the robot's impression. In the survey of diaries giving more favorable impressions, diaries with information on joint experiences were selected higher than diaries without such information, because diaries with information on joint experiences showed more cooperation between the robot and the human and more intimacy from the robot.

This paper presents the preliminary results of modeling and analysis of a dynamic smart solar panel system for harvesting solar energy in remote areas. A physical model of the dynamic smart solar panel system was developed actuated by two servomotors. As a result, it was a 2DOF system prototype. The first servomotor was used with an aim of adjusting the inclination angle of the solar panel system toward the position of sunlight, and the second servomotor was used with an aim of adjusting the orientation of the solar panel system about the orientation of the sun in real time so maximum sunlight could hit the solar panels during its operations. Considering the dynamic nature of the system, we proposed a dynamic model of the system for the rotation of the second servomotor (i.e., the rotation of the entire solar system actuated by the servomotor) with respect to the sun. We then simulated the dynamic model in MATLAB and obtained dynamic characteristics of the system in terms of step response, impulse response, ramp response, Bode response, Root Locus response, and Nyquist response. We analyzed the dynamic characteristics of the system based on those responses and tried to propose a set of system parameters to optimize the design of the prototype that could demonstrate the best possible dynamic characteristics of the system to cope with changes in the operating conditions of the dynamic system in uncertain remote environments. The results obtained through the simulation studies demonstrated satisfactory stability, accuracy, and fastness of the system responses under dynamic conditions. Though the results obtained in the simulation were specific to the small system we prototyped, the approach we presented here can be extremely useful to optimize the design of large, smart, and dynamic solar panel systems for harvesting solar energy for remote applications such as powering irrigation systems and greenhouses for agriculture and farming, powering autonomous devices for sear

Banks in India have been using CRM to understand diverse needs of banking customers and even trying to use the strategy of relationship building with the customers for attracting new customers and retaining existing customers. However, convincing customers for technology adoption to interact with bank is a major challenge. The objective of this research is to assess the progress made in the field of CRM in banking. This study aims to provide readers with a full understanding of the current dynamics and shed light on the current status of the literature pertaining to CRM in banking sector. Furthermore, this study offers a comprehensive examination of the existing body of literature on CRM in banking through the utilization of bibliometric analysis. The Scopus database was utilized for data collecting in this study. The database utilized for this research consisted of a total of 418 documents spanning the years 1998 to 2023. This study examines the theoretical foundations, publication patterns, and citation trends within this field. Additionally, the study investigates commonly referenced journals, frequently employed research keywords, and the formation of research clusters. Based on an analysis conducted using Scopus, it has been determined that the domains of management and business research in the India hold significant prominence in the examination of CRM studies. The analysis was conducted using VOSviewer, which revealed that research on CRM has exhibited inconsistent progress in scholarly publications.

In the context of effective resource management and ensuring nutritional stability, precise forecasting of crop yields becomes essential. The development of artificial intelligence methodologies, coupled with satellite imagery, has emerged as a powerful strategy for predicting crop yields in modern times. In This study, deep learning algorithms based on LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) were developed to efficiently optimize and extract from Sentinel-2 data spatiotemporal information of wheat yield. To estimate accurately wheat yield in Morocco, several machine learning and deep learning techniques such as Random Forest, LSTM, Bi-LSTM (Bidirectional LSTM), stacked LSTM, etc. were used and compared. The optimized Bi-LSTM model accurately estimates wheat yield based on NDVI (normalized difference vegetation index) data and weather data (temperature, precipitation). Three datasets gathered from satellite imagery were used which are temperature data, precipitation data and NDVI data combined for training and testing the proposed model. After data processing, different machine learning and deep learning algorithms were compared, and the result showed that Bi-LSTM estimates wheat yield accurately. The proposed and optimized Bi-LSTM model reached a satisfactory accuracy at the sizable regional scale. The obtained result demonstrates that the RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) score was 6.22 and the loss was 6.61 center dot 10(-4) after 20 epochs of training the proposed model, which overcomes most of the existing methods.

This study addresses the twin challenges of talent retention and high project failure rates (40-70%) by harnessing machine learning (ML) techniques to analyze retrospective big data. The study's objective was to ascertain whether project performance indicators can be a reliable gauge of project manager (PM) organizational commitment. This approach sidesteps the inherent bias and small effect sizes associated with survey self-report responses. Our innovative methodology leverages secondary big data, transforming the values into structured features that predict PM organizational commitment. This study proposes a novel conceptual framework, focusing on actual behavioral evidence rather than traditional, self-reported attitudes to assess the fuzzy predictors of organizational commitment. Among the three developed ML models, one demonstrated a significant 24% effect size, uncovering key features correlating PM tenure and organizational commitment with success. The insights gained from this research have broad implications for global stakeholders in projects and programs, offering a more objective and big data-driven understanding of PM commitment.

Hybrid locomotion systems with actively controlled wheeled-legged suspension offer high off-road mobility, feature ground adaptation and are capable of overcoming large obstacles. Rovers with passive suspension also have remarkable climbing abilities and are much easier to control. In this paper, experiments on overcoming obstacles with two robots with different suspension systems, one with an active wheeled-legged suspension and one with a passive triple-bogie suspension, are analysed and the advantages and disadvantages for different applications are shown. The control effort of the active suspension significantly slows down the rover in situations that can also be handled with a passive suspension. However, the unique ability of the active suspension to overcome obstacles without contact is a promising feature that requires further research and development to realise its full technological potential for autonomous operation.

The project aims to create an emotion recognition system based on voice using deep learning techniques. The system is based on supervised learning with artificial neural networks, enabling it to accurately predict emotions. The system's potential usage in detecting depression pathologies in the psychological area gives rise to its development. The system is designed using the KDD (Knowledge Discovery in Database) methodology and utilizes an existing database containing audio with various emotions. These audios are subjected to Multilevel Wavelet transform, decomposing the original signal into sub-signals with specific characteristics for each audio to form a training data set that is subsequently normalized, followed by the generation of the LSTM neural network architecture. Performance tests are eventually conducted on patients with depressive pathology, involving the application of the "Beck test", which indicates the severity of depression experienced by the patient. As a result, the individual reads a text that is recorded, followed by the process of feature extraction and emotion recognition performed with the pre-trained neural network. The outcome indicates that 50% of the patients exhibit severe depression, while the remainder displays milder symptoms, which is supported by the emotions detected by the system alongside the administered test.

Income and wealth tax systems are key tools for governments to raise the funds needed to finance their public policies, especially for Latin American and Caribbean countries with a fiscal focus. However, tax evasion and international taxation pose significant challenges to ensure fair and efficient collection. This article focuses on analyzing the income tax systems of Argentina and Colombia, through the mechanisms of international tax planning applied to tax evasion and the existence of tax havens. The similarities and differences between both countries are examined, as well as the policies implemented to address these challenges, through mixed research that brings together literature review and field work, qualitative approach, and inductive method, using content analysis as a technique, which results in a correlation of categories that allow establishing that Argentina and Colombia have a lower taxation than the OECD average, whose tax revenues are equivalent to 33.8% of GDP.
