Data mining techniques, by providing numerous insights, have been recently used and have improved many aspects of life, including education. Analyzing the students' records and predicting their performance of students can bring a lot of benefits to the education system. As a university with special training programs such as training in English, dual degree education, and technology programs, International School-Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam is on the rise and will benefit from the application of data mining. In this paper, we conduct an analysis of the pre-English course performance of students at the International School with the aim of obtaining positive predictive results through appropriate data engineering, performing exploratory data analysis, and building predictive models of the students' study time for the pre-English course. Therefore, the school can consider those as the reference for program adjustments.

Multi-criteria decision-making problems are a type of problem used in many areas. Daily life problems are too complex to be solved with a single criterion. Therefore, a solution that evaluates multiple criteria together is needed. Multi-criteria decision-making methods are used for the solution. Supplier selection problems have multiple criteria to select the supplier. For this reason, supplier selection problems are multi-criteria decision-making problems. Within this study, it is thought that the time spent while making decisions in supplier selection is much more than the time spent by creating a fuzzy system, and it is aimed to calculate the efficiency of the fuzzy system created in terms of the time spent by using the fuzzy number again. In this study, a fuzzy multi-criteria decision-making problem is defined for supply selection and a decision support system is designed for this problem. Considering that the problems are solved quicker with this system, an increase in efficiency is noticed. A new efficiency calculation is made by using interval type 2 numbers to calculate the efficiency increase. The study compared the classical supplier selection decisions with fuzzy decision-making system. As a result of this comparison, it is noticed that the time is saved even in a decision-making problem. It is thought that there is a time planning before it will be written by a problem department for use. Considering that the supplier selection problem is frequently made by the department, a serious time saving is noticed. No study is found on the use of fuzzy numbers in efficiency calculation in the accessible literature. This study will contribute to the literature by creating a new efficiency formula using interval type-2 fuzzy number in efficiency calculation.

This study uses three different methods to analyse the spatial distributions of video conferencing, namely circular, random, and uniform. These services come in various quantities and are put up in real-time application configurations at particular percentages. The study's objective is to offer customers or users an evaluation that suggests appropriate network designs and technologies while maximizing available network resources and preventing unneeded disruptions. To do this, a special method for choosing the best network topologies for mixed applications has been created. The study takes into account a number of variables, such as node counts ranging from one to sixty-five and room sizes ranging from three by two meters to fourteen by ten meters. Network performance is assessed using Quality of Service (QoS) measurements such as latency, jitter, bandwidth, and packet loss. Additionally, the study follows the established acceptable limits for QoS measurements in video conferencing systems. The study attempts to offer useful advice for optimizing network setups to ensure optimal performance for VideoConferencing services by taking into account these indicators and adherence to industry standards.

The Model-driven architecture (MDA) represents a software engineering approach designed to enhance the productivity and quality of software development by using models and transformations. In this paper, we propose a new MDA technic for developing smart tourism web applications, which are applications that provide personalized and interactive services to tourists. This approach consists of three main steps: (1) defining a platform-independent model (PIM) that captures the functional requirements and the domain model of smart tourism, based on the 6 As of tourism;(2) defining a platform-specific model (PSM) that specifies the architectural design of the web application, based on PHP as the programming language and clean architecture as the architectural style;and (3) applying model transformations to generate the source code of the web application from the PSM, using XSLT as the transformation language. We showcase the feasibility and effectiveness of this work by applying it to a case study of a smart tourism web application that allows tourists to explore and book various attractions and activities in a city. We also discuss the benefits and challenges of this approach, as well as some directions for future work.

Harvesting and transportation activities represent a large part of forest companies' costs. With distances separating forests to mills increasing with time, companies must find new ways to improve their logistics activities and doing so, reduce their costs and CO2 emissions. The literature review conducted in this article showed that collaboration is a very efficient way to reduce expenses, especially with wood bartering, transport consolidation, backhauling and logistics platforms for sorting, consolidating, and warehousing. Although studies showed that collaboration can generate major financial and environmental benefits, only a few examples of successful partnerships exist. This article thus highlights methods which have the potential to support collaborative logistics in the forest sector, while identifying the lack of documented partnerships examples in the literature.

The oils used in compression-ignition engines involving the running time of the automobiles under certain mileages within the preventive and corrective maintenance, were established as the object of this study, being analyzed the 15w 40 CI synthetic base oil to validate the degradation level of a lubricant in compression-ignition engines. The sample was taken in containers with capacity of 120 ml. International standards were considered the procedures: kinematic viscosity testing, ASTM D 445 Standard;total alkalinity and acidity value, ASTM D 4739/ASTM D 664 Standards;infrared spectrum in used oils, NVE 751 Standard: oxidation, water, sulfation, nitration, fuel, soot;metal content by spectrometry, wear metals, contamination metals and additive metals, ASTM D 6595 Standard;oil spot test. For this study, literary analysis was used based on a comprehensive review of scientific papers, academic impact projects and reports that will make the readers have a clear view of the physical and mechanical characteristics of the lubricant. In the tribology analysis in engine oils, establishing the wear due to the movement of internal motor components, the degradation of a lubricant should be lower tomaintain a better performance in a combustion engine, thus establishing a physicochemical test to determine at different mileages its durability with respect to friction and wear in a given sample of the lubricant.

The increasing demand for electrical energy, driven by technological advancements in underdeveloped and developing nations, has led to a growing reliance on renewable energy sources. Inductive loads requiring high starting currents can significantly affect power sources. Therefore, it is imperative to investigate the impacts of inductive loads on photovoltaic (PV) systems. This study aims to investigate the major parameters of the asynchronous machine, a typical representation of inductive load rated at 15 kW and 7.5 kW, respectively. With the analysis performed in MATLAB/Simulink, the major parameters investigated include the machine rotor current, rotor speed and rotor electromagnetic torque. The present study will propose strategies to mitigate the impact of inductive loads on PV systems, facilitating the seamless integration of solar PV systems into our energy infrastructure.

The purpose of this research is to study various aspects of the usage of cloud computing in organizational structure and provides details on keywords, countries of origin, authors of these articles and publications. This study employs a visual way to assess articles about the usage of cloud computing in organizational structure. VOSviewer was used to locate and provide a summary ofWeb of Science papers from 1800 to the present. Publication source, publication organization, authors, funding sources, nation, citations of articles, citations of country, and citations of publication source were noted and examined. Citation, authorship, cocitation, and network of keyword co-occurrence bibliometric maps were created. 4449 cited references and 393 articleswere analyzed. TheUnited States dominates the citations (1196) and publications (54, 13.7%). Indian Institute of Technology System IIT System with seven publications is the most productive affiliation. Alruithe, Majid and Benkhelifa, Elhadj are the most productive authors with 10 total link strength, 61 citations and six publications. The International journal of information management had the highest citations on cloud computing application in organizational structure. The latest keyword "cloud computing" appeared in 182 papers. Other relatively new keywords comprise "big data", "security", "privacy", "data science", "encryption" and "cloud security" respectively. This paper offers integrated visualization's examination with regards to innovation and knowledge for scholars and practitioners based on cloud computing application in organizational structure.

Crime scene investigations are constantly changing, so need innovative technology to increase their efficiency and precision. An example of such a technology is 3D reconstruction technology, which captures the physical attributes of real-world crime scenes and digitizes them into comprehensive three-dimensional models. This provides a more detailed, accurate, and interactive representation of crime scenes than traditional documentation techniques has done. In this study, we explore the transformative potential of 3D reconstruction. Drawing from diverse case studies and technological evaluations, we show the marked benefits of 3D reconstruction on the efficiency, safety, and overall effectiveness of crime scene investigations. To ensure the technology is used ethically and optimally, inherent problems must be addressed. This research highlights the significant implications of 3D reconstruction, paving the way for future forensic investigations.

Energy-related industries are working hard to ensure that their operations are sustainable and to reduce their carbon footprint. Optimizing field operations to boost sustainability while maintaining output levels is one of these projects. The fourth industrial revolution is having a significant influence on the oil and gas industry, which also makes it feasible to more thoroughly examine possibilities for lowering carbon footprints. With the aid of contemporary production logging technology, the formation may be accurately described, and its production behavior quantified. Technologies that use polymer injection may significantly lower water cut, which helps lower carbon emissions and achieve net-zero objectives. We evaluated the effects of various polymer injection strategies on the Volve field using a variety of production and injection wells in order to predict the influence of injecting polymers on the fluid production rates. Lowering the reservoir's water production rates is made possible by the injection of polymers. Consequently, managing produced water and water injection results in a reduced carbon footprint. Integrating properly log interpreted polymer amounts to maximize recovery is a crucial component of optimization. The total carbon footprint was determined using a probability-likelihood framework following the evaluation of many scenarios to determine their overall impact on carbon emissions. Although there are many factors that determine the optimal injection strategy, polymers have demonstrated the ability to significantly reduce overall carbon footprints while increasing hydrocarbon output.
