Simulation based learning is a well-known and widely used learning methodology. To this direction, our proposed application consists of two different simulation environments, rooms. Every room is dealing with a different learning concept, gravity and lighting. This system aims to combine simulation and gamification in order to promote the motivation and the engagement of the users. Thus, the user, utilizing today's basic technology and his/her developed muscle memory will have to operate a set of given tools in simulation rooms in order to overcome various problems related to the concept that the current room is dealing with. With the hosting of different simulation rooms each of which is dealing with a different concept of physics, we try to research how a user will react and utilize the different sets of tools delivered by each specific simulation room scenario. The main idea of the simulation room scenarios is the user to pass as quicker as he/she can from the entrance of each room to the end of it, utilizing his/her current knowledge of the field that the specific room is dealing with utilizing the provided tools.

The Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) is a multidisciplinary research field aimed at the assistance of people with neuromotor disabilities. This paper presents a new LabVIEW based BCI that should help disabled people to access the Internet by searching a video in YouTube, looking for a person in Facebook, opening a new email, or finding out significant information in Google. These people can achieve such tasks by wearing a GTEC Unicorn EEG headset and focus their sight to the P300 Speller board. This BCI application needs to be user friendly and cost effective. This way the disabled people could benefit of a higher degree of independence because they can communicate by the Internet and leverage the web resources like everyone else. The proposed BCI application consists of the UDP communication protocol employed in LabVIEW to enable the integration of the Unicorn P300 Speller board and the LabVIEW virtual instrument aimed at generating the Internet commands. Then, they should use the official GTEC P300 Speller board that randomly displays different palettes with various flashing symbols. The users need to focus their attention and sight to a single symbol so that they can mentally count all the displayed flashing lights. A symbol is chosen by the P300 Speller board based on the user selection. The UDP packet is sent to LabVIEW application, which is programmed to process these UDP data and link the user selection with the Internet command (search information by Google, search video by YouTube, search person by Facebook, open new email).

The article presents the fuzzy TOPSIS method used to prioritize the criteria contributing to the overall quality of Internet platforms' functioning. The article's primary purpose is to present the fuzzy TOPSIS method applying as an appropriate tool when the respondents' answers were given using an ordinal scale. Thus, the subject of consideration was the presentation of the fuzzy TOPSIS method on the example of primary data obtained during research on assessing the quality of Internet platforms' functioning. Twenty-four qualitative criteria were tested, contributing to the overall quality of Internet platforms' functioning. The method used made it possible to create a ranking of these criteria, indicating which, according to the respondents, are the most important and which play a minor role in determining the level of quality of the online platforms' functioning. In addition, the created ranking of criteria contributing to the overall quality of the functioning of online platforms can be a guideline for managers responsible for online platforms' managing. Proper management of an online platform should take into account the emphasis on increasing the level of quality of its functioning, and the ranking of criteria, which is the effect of the fuzzy TOPSIS method used in this case, is a valuable reference point for managers responsible for online platforms' managing.

Based on a literature review between 2014 and 2022, barriers to implementing artificial intelligence in medical information systems were identified. It was noted that these barriers are independent of the sub-discipline of medicine (e.g., oncology, ophthalmology, dermatology) and are recurrent in nature. The most important ones were described and grouped. The following four subgroups of barriers were identified: organizational and legal, technical, economic, and human factor-related barriers. Awareness and consideration of these barriers to implementing AI in health systems can help eliminate (or minimize) the risk of project failure. The study can be useful both for decision-makers who want to implement an AI-based medical information system (e.g., in a hospital), and for researchers and managers responsible for organizing medical facilities.

This research investigates teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness and feasibility of incorporating immersive web environments into their teaching practices. A total of 11 teachers from various subject areas participated, having recently attended a 30-h training course on using immersive web environments in the classroom. Following the training, these teachers implemented their created environments with their students. A survey instrument employing a 5-point Likert scale was designed to assess teachers' perceptions of the perceived benefits, challenges, and overall impact of using immersive web environments in education. The findings reveal high levels of perceived enjoyment, motivation, cognitive benefits, learning, and satisfaction among students using immersive web environments. Strong positive correlations between most variables indicate a mutually reinforcing effect, with improvements in one aspect likely leading to enhancements in others. Despite the study's limitations, including a small sample size of teachers and potential selection bias, the results emphasize the potential of immersive web environments in fostering engaging and effective learning experiences for a larger number of students. This research can inform the development of professional development initiatives and the design of innovative educational technologies that promote effective student learning experiences.

This paper presents two case studies that explore the integration of environmental awareness and IoT technology in interactive and collaborative learning environments. In the first case study, a comprehensive assessment was conducted to measure the digital data competence of university students in relation to their understanding of standards and regulations for healthy and energy efficient learning spaces. The assessment encompassed their knowledge of relevant variables for classroom health, such as temperature, humidity, CO2 levels, and lighting, as well as their familiarity with recommended energy-saving thresholds. The results high-lighted gaps in digital data competence among the participants, indicating a need for targeted interventions to enhance their understanding and awareness of these standards. The results of the second case study demonstrated the effectiveness of the serious game in promoting student engagement and facilitating their understanding of the importance of adhering to recommended thresholds. By integrating digital data competence, and IoT technology, universities can empower students to become active participants in creating healthy and energy-efficient classrooms. Furthermore, by utilizing data from IoT systems, students can enhance their skills in data management, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other data processing techniques. Our current pace of life revolves around an era with demands and needs based on technology, within these needs is methodological innovation in higher education, since traditional teaching structures show demotivation and low level of participation in students, who are considered digital natives. This article aims to demonstrate the positive influence of the implementation of gamification as a learning strategy with the support of technological resources such as Kahoot, Genially and Canvas to achieve progress on the students' learning. The instruments used were first a survey whose content validity of the instrument was verified with an average of 0.9 of "V of Aiken" coefficient, in which 5 experts evaluated the clarity, relatedness and relevance of the items, and for internal consistency, Cronbach's Alpha coefficient was applied, obtaining a value of 0.908. Then, a pre and posttest was employed to measure the leadership skills based on Whetter & Cameron model. The experiment consisted of 5 interventions with gamification resources (rewards, points, progression, challenges, among others.) for the development of leadership skills (decision making, leadership, knowledge) in the students at Administrative Sciences Faculty of the Technical University of Ambato to form in them the ideal profile of a manager who meets the socio-labor demands of their context. Finally, through a TAMquestionnaire, students obtained positive trends in the level of 92% of acceptance and satisfaction.

Mathematically gifted pupils or students are often characterized as independent, non-conformist and autonomous thinkers who are also displaying considerable levels of creativity. When focusing the mathematical content, gifted pupils enjoy working with challenging problems that offer diversified solutions and are explorative about a specific mathematical area. Accordingly, it is indicated that traditional classroom settings do have limited potential to address the needs of the gifted. Hence, the present paper discusses the possibilities to meet the developmental needs of mathematically gifted pupils via digital online learning environments, example here in the form of Digital Interactive Mathematical Maps (DIMM), a freely accessible digital tool developed at the University of Passau, Germany. The DIMM is based on a visualization of the historical development of different mathematical areas, such as geometry, algebra and calculus. Last and importantly, the DIMM is deepened by tasks from mathematical competitions and fostering settings that are connected to mentioned timelines and that pupils can work with in respective contexts.
