As the automotive industry continually evolves towards the realization of autonomous vehicles, the critical task of real-time lane detection and road segmentation using computer vision assumes paramount significance. Achieving reliable and accurate lane marking detection and road region segmentation represents a cornerstone for the safe and efficient operation of smart cars. This problem statement seeks to elucidate the multifaceted challenges encompassing this domain, taking into account the complexities of real-world driving scenarios, diverse environmental conditions, and the imperative need for robust and adaptive algorithms. This paper aims To develop a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art techniques and methodologies in computer vision, with a specific focus on lane segmentation and road detection in the context of smart car vision. To investigate the integration of Deep Convolutional Neural networks (CNNs) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) classification for enhancing the accuracy and robustness of lane segmentation and road detection in smart car environments.

In the modern era, the logistics and supply chain sector is undergoing a significant digital transformation, redefining operations and efficiency. However, with this transformation comes an array of cybersecurity challenges that demand urgent attention. This paper endeavors to provide a brief comprehensive overview of the current state of cybersecurity in logistics, emphasizing the maritime industry's digital evolution and the associated cybersecurity implications. Through insights from leading scholars, we identify prevailing threats and vulnerabilities. The advancement of administrative approval digitalization has brought about several challenges during its implementation. This study focuses on the Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ) as a case study to examine the digital reform of administrative approval. This study examines the digital reform of administrative approval in the Economic and Technological Development Zone (ETDZ). Through a comprehensive evaluation using questionnaires and internal evaluations, the research identifies current challenges in the digitalization process. Based on the findings, this paper proposes feasible solutions in three key areas. Firstly, it advocates for the digital and intelligent upgrading of government service centers. Secondly, the study emphasizes the importance of data sharing and business synergy. Lastly, the paper highlights the significance of admitting scenario-based personalized approval services to enhance user experience and satisfaction. The insights gained from this research contribute to optimizing administrative processes and advancing public service delivery in the context of digital transformation.

Data mining techniques, by providing numerous insights, have been recently used and have improved many aspects of life, including education. Analyzing the students' records and predicting their performance of students can bring a lot of benefits to the education system. As a university with special training programs such as training in English, dual degree education, and technology programs, International School-Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Vietnam is on the rise and will benefit from the application of data mining. In this paper, we conduct an analysis of the pre-English course performance of students at the International School with the aim of obtaining positive predictive results through appropriate data engineering, performing exploratory data analysis, and building predictive models of the students' study time for the pre-English course. Therefore, the school can consider those as the reference for program adjustments.

Combining eco-friendly materials like wood fibers and biodegradable polymers, bio-composites offer exciting potential for sustainable innovation. However, printing these bio-composites using Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF), presents challenges, and optimizing the printing process is crucial for high-quality, strong, and efficiently produced objects. This study explores the use of Support Vector Machine (SVM) regression for modeling and optimizing the FFF process with Wood/PLA composites as filament. By employing a full factorial plan and constructing 64 test cubes, the study unravels the complex relationships between printing parameters and critical outcomes like relative density and productivity. To capture non-linear dependencies, a cubic kernel function was used within the SVM model. Cross-validation with a value of 5 ensured generalizability and prevented overfitting to specific data subsets. The outcomes underscore the robust predictive capability of the model, substantiated by elevated R-squared values and precise predictions (indicated by low metric values) observed across both validation and test datasets. Furthermore, the Newton-Raphson method identified the optimal printing parameters that maximize both relative density and productivity (calculated as a portion of volume built in a second). The optimal setting was found with a nozzle temperature of 205 degrees C, a printing speed of approximately 87 mm/s, and a layer height of approximately 1.5 mm.

The aim of this research is to develop an algorithm for the automatic analysis of natural vegetation recovery on disturbed lands for monitoring open-pit mining sites based on remote sensing data (RSD). Images from Sentinel-2 satellites of mineral extraction areas in open-pit mines were chosen as the initial data. The feasibility of using a convolutional neural network for determining the boundaries of the object under study by forming its mask is considered. The modified Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (mNDVI) is used as an additional channel for the neural network, which helps to increase the accuracy of defining the mentioned boundaries. To divide the quarry territory into three classes (water, vegetation, soil) and to construct the corresponding class map, the Modified Normalized Difference Water Index (MNDWI) and the Soil and Atmospherically Resistant Vegetation Index (SARVI) are applied to the obtained mask. The class map allows for more detailed monitoring and analysis of the studied objects.

The digital revolution in the technology industry is leading towards Industry 5.0, resulting in significant changes in the future of work, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To ensure a successful industrial transition, it is crucial for employees to acquire the necessary skills and competencies. In this vein, the present study aimed to investigate the impact of digital and sustainable transformation on the required skills and competencies of employees in SMEs. A literature review was conducted to gather scientific data through a qualitative analysis. The study findings indicate that SMEs are placing increasing importance on transversal, technical, and green competency fields. Furthermore, the research indicated that SMEs can enhance their employees' capabilities by offering appropriate training programs. By employing competency forecasting techniques, SMEs can recognize skill shortcomings and equip their workforce with the necessary skills for future requirements.

This paper explores the critical domain of finance research by focusing on modeling and forecasting daily prices for the Moroccan All Shares Index (MASI) across diverse sectors. Recognizing the pivotal role of predicting stock price movements in shaping investment strategies, we conduct a comprehensive comparative study employing various Machine Learning (ML) methods, including eXtreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Support Vector Regression (SVR), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), Multilayer Perceptron (MLP), SVR-XGBoost, MLP-XGBoost, and LSTM-XGBoost models. Leveraging an optimized Grid Search (GS) algorithm, our results highlight the superior performance of SVR-XGBoost and LSTM-XGBoost models, emphasizing their efficacy and accuracy in predicting daily prices for the MASI.

The increasing complexity of the software systems currently developed also increases the need for collaboration between multiple developers. In this paper, we propose and describe a collaborative environment in virtual reality with advanced features like live programming, UML class diagram visualization, and round-trip engineering. We conducted a user study that focuses on evaluating the use of VR in collaboration and aims to confirm whether such an approach is more effective compared to classical approaches when performing programming tasks. We evaluated two collaboration styles: a tutor-student approach that is common in academia and collaborative programming typical for pair programming in practice. The results showed that the proposed collaborative virtual reality environment was more attractive, stimulating, and novel than traditional approaches.
