Efficient fruit detection and counting are crucial to improve fruit industrial efficiency and assist the farmers to develop reasonable harvesting strategies in advance while significantly reducing human labors and wastage. In this paper, digital video and image datasets of kiwifruits are collected to train a deep learningbased fruit counting model. The model consists of two molecular algorithms: KiwiDetector for kiwifruit detection and KiwiTracker for kiwifruit tracking and counting. The KiwiDetector algorithm is based on the state-of-the-art YOLOv7 algorithm. The KiwiTracker algorithm is from Kalman filtering and global matching for target tracking. TheKiwiDetector module obtainedmAP 0.937 after model training based on our collected kiwifruit dataset. The KiwiTracker module has an average counting precision 0.802 after model testing based on different videos containing kiwifruits. The methods can assist us in estimating yields efficiently and provide technical references for agricultural automation.

With this contribution, we would like to contextualize an IoT and Artificial Intelligence project in the current work practices of greenhouse growers. The project follows the user-centered design process in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. We carried out user studies by interviewing experts competent in greenhouse work. In particular, we asked ourselves how practices, perceptions, and cognitions change following the introduction of technologies in the greenhouse. The qualitative work on the interviews allowed us to isolate some constants that will subsequently bring us to improve the usability of the technologies to support growers, taking into account their particular professional skills.

This contribution reports on the roadshow, a collection of Industry 4.0 applications operated by the department of smart production of the University of Applied Sciences Wildau. It targets the transfer between the institutions of higher education and small- and medium-sized enterprises but also integrates the transfer between students and university respective industry. The roadshow compiles several use cases for Industry 4.0 applications in a linked production system, arranged around the task of producing awooden 3D puzzle. Thus, the roadshowis a mobile-mounted Learning Factory on a truck that can be transported to various locations, such as company events or fares. Participants can choose from different options of digital support for the respective task at hand. E.g., for the assembly of the 3D puzzle the options consist of a traditional paper-based manual, an interactive assembly guide through Mixed Reality (MR) via Microsoft HoloLens, a voice-controlled laser projection, or a tablet application also using MR. Once all steps are finished, the customised 3D puzzle is handed out to the visitor. Such a setup allows for sensitising participants and building up their acceptance toward the technologies of Industry 4.0. The contribution closes by presenting results achieved so far in terms of lessons learned as well as a first validation of the effectiveness of such a transfer approach considering vital data through a model for technostress.

In recent years, the need to train teachers to teach online has been highlighted, not only because of the exponential growth of technologies in all economic sectors of society, but also because of the very need for education to modernize and, through this, innovate in the digital sphere. The covid-19 pandemic has only demonstrated, now unequivocally, the urgency of teacher training in the field of online teaching, as well as the need for instructional design and evaluation of training models to support learning. It is precisely because of these two assumptions that there is an urgent need to develop research in the area that allows us to (re)think teacher training in the digital age so that teachers can participate in training actions and, through them, acquire fundamental skills for the realization of online teaching. In this sense, through a systematic review of the literature, we sought to identify and characterize training models geared towards teaching practice in online education. In this way, it may be possible to contribute to the development of a matrix for the instructional design of a teacher training model that prepares these professionals for online education. The results show that, although the literature has made an indispensable contribution to reflection on teacher training models, we recognize that more research is needed in the area, since the literature is deficient in terms of the subject under analysis.

Human motion trajectory prediction is a very important functionality for human-robot collaboration, specifically in accompanying, guiding, or approaching tasks, but also in social robotics, self-driving vehicles, or security systems. In this paper, a novel trajectory prediction model, Social Force Generative Adversarial Network (SoFGAN), is proposed. SoFGAN uses a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) and Social Force Model (SFM) to generate different plausible people trajectories reducing collisions in a scene. Furthermore, a Conditional Variational Autoencoder (CVAE) module is added to emphasize the destination learning. We show that our method is more accurate in making predictions in UCY or BIWI datasets than most of the current state-of-the-art models and also reduces collisions in comparison to other approaches. Through real-life experiments, we demonstrate that the model can be used in real-time without GPU's to perform good quality predictions with a low computational cost.

It has grown more challenging to ensure security and trust as wireless communications become more common across a number of industries. Often, traditional security methods fall short in addressing the vulnerabilities that are common in wireless networks. This in-depth research explores the potential for combining blockchain and smart contract technology to increase the security of wireless communications. In addition to analyzing the fundamental concepts behind smart contracts, wireless communications, and blockchain, the research investigates how blockchain-based solutions may lower security concerns and increase trustworthiness. The benefits, drawbacks, and potential future developments of this emerging method are examined in various use cases and applications.

The objective of this research was to analyze the representation of women in ATV's Andrea television program during the month of May, Lima 2022;therefore, the methodology used had a qualitative approach by describing a single category. In addition, the phenomenological level allowed us to understand the observed reality based on the interpretation of the programs broadcast by Andrea TV through the content analysis method, which was through techniques such as observation and used the observation guide as an instrument. In addition, the total study population was composed of 22 programs broadcast during the month of May 2022, with nine programs that make up the sample chosen through non-probability sampling. The result was the analysis of the representation of women based on stereotypes, audiovisual language, and social roles that are observed during the evolution of the conversation during the episode. Concluding that the representation of women is appreciated from the interaction of opinions between the guests and the intermediation of the hostess Andrea.

Virtual 3D tools provide significant support for learning and the teaching process. The implementation and development of communication and information technologies in our society, as well as in the scientific and teaching environment, is nowa reality. The main goal of this article is to present an application made in VR technology for learning the construction and maneuvering of MV switchboards. The application was created as a result of cooperation with PRADMA from Olsztyn during the implementation of the Virtual Electrical Switchgear (VES) project. Thanks to VR models, it is possible to simulate many different scenarios in controlled conditions, as well as to create advanced training applications enabling the development of correct habits without exposing trainees to risk. The application consists of a tutorial and 3 levels of training and functional VR simulations and was launched for students of the first and third year of first-cycle studies in electrical engineering at the Warsaw University of Technology. The developed program was designed to effectively introduce the application user to the basic information about moving the virtual avatar, interacting with the prepared elements, and to provide information on the construction of the MV switchgear and its components. Preliminary tests of the application's suitability will be shown during testing in the Laboratory of Electrical Apparatus and Switching Processes.

In recent years, with the advancement of technology, the number of malware attacks has also increased, Peru being one of the countries with more cyberattacks of this type to electronic devices. Therefore, the main objective of the proposed study is to design a Malware detection model using Deep Learning techniques in cell phones with Android operating system. For this purpose, 5 phases have been carried out in the methodology to be able to recognize Malware anomalies and present error-free data comprising the following: Imported dataset, preprocessing, feature extraction, model implementation and evaluation. In addition, different machine learning models such as DT, RF, SVM and K-NN were developed and the results were evaluated using the metrics Accuracy, Precision, Recall and F1-score. For malware detection, RF presents the highest percentage in all the indicated parameters 89.23%, 87.59% and 88.90% and in Recall it is below K-NN with 85.84%. The RF model outperforms all the algorithms applied in the model, showing that better predictive results can be obtained.

Reference evapotranspiration (ET) helps manage irrigation water supply, minimize freshwater waste, maximize crop yields, and promote sustainable agriculture. However, machine learning (ML)-based ET forecasting models are only effective and accurate if localized weather/climatic data are available, which is not always the case in most cases, especially in many parts of Africa. In this study, we obtained a historical climate record of 23 years from the gridded AgERA5 dataset and calculated ET using the Penman-Monteith (PM) method. Thereafter, two different ET prediction algorithms (transformer and long short-term memory network (LSTM)) were trained using the AgERA5 to overcome the challenges caused by limited localized data. According to the results, LSTM outperformed the transformer in terms of forecasting ET, with lower mean absolute error (MAE) values, root mean square errors (RMSE), and a higher correlation coefficient (R2). Therefore, the proposed approach demonstrates how gridded climate observations can be integrated with soft computing techniques for precise ET forecasting within areas that lack access to climate records from local meteorological stations.
