Understanding the interaction between fracturing fractures and natural fractures (NF) is crucial for estimating fracture complexity and simulated reservoir volume (SRV). For the simulation of complex network models, the general time cost is enormous, therefore, it is very meaningful to consider using machine learning algorithms to predict fracture propagation. On the basis of establishing a fluid structure coupling model using the Cohesive module of ABAQUS and completing indoor experimental verification, this article introduces the global embedded cohesion zone model (CZM) combined with the natural fracture (NF) model (generated in Python) to establish a dispersed mesh model. Based on this model, compare the fracture propagation patterns of hydraulic fracturing and supercritical CO2 fracturing. Design experimental schemes to study the problem of fracture propagation under different engineering and geological conditions. Using machine learning (LSTM-Long Short-Term Memory algorithm) to predict the changes in fracture length under different time and conditions, and comparing it with actual simulation results to optimize the algorithm. The results indicate that supercritical CO2 is more inclined to penetrate natural fractures, leading to the expansion of fractures within the rock matrix. Hydraulic fracturing fractures combine well with natural fractures. The established prediction model can effectively predict the state of fracture propagation. This study combines numerical simulation and machine learning, which is of great significance for enriching the theory of supercritical CO2 fracturing.

A single yarn pull-out model test on Kevlar 49 plain weave fabric was conducted using three yarn pull-out speeds of 100, 500, and 1000 mm/min. The interface contact state during the yarn pull-out process was analyzed. An energy absorption model was proposed that considered the convex-convex and concave-concave contact states of the tensioned yarn interface during the yarn pull-out process. The specific dividing points between static friction and dynamic friction before and after the yarn slips were defined. The peak and trough load values of the load-displacement curve in the dynamic friction stage were extracted. The convex-convex and concave-concave contact states of the interface during the yarn pull-out process were inverted. In addition, the interface shear stress conditions, and linear stress transfer models were established to calculate the strain energy and frictional energy consumption during the yarn pull-out process. The mechanical response state of the yarn pull out was predicted, and the results showed that the friction properties of the fabric interface were not sensitive to the loading rate. The theoretical model was accurate for the energy absorption during the yarn pull-out process. The mechanical response to the load displacement under the three yarn pull-out speeds showed good predictability.

The paper presents the collaboration between two Romanian national research institutes, which are currently working on deployment of a test device (stand), intended for testing low-head hydraulic turbines. By circulating the water between two superimposed tanks, the stand will maintain, throughout the duration of the test, the flow rate and drop at constant values, necessary for the operation of the tested turbine. The turbine will be located on the bottom of the upper tank, and the flow required for operation will be provided by a pumping group, which ensures constant levels in the two tanks, with preselected values at the beginning of the test and maintained during the test turbines. To maintain a constant head, the pumps will be driven by a system of automatic control of the flow in a closed loop, according to the level set by the operator, by means of a software application, available on a computer associated with the stand. To determine the energy parameters of the turbine, its shaft will be connected to a device for measuring mechanical parameters consisting of an adjustable electromagnetic brake, depending on the supply current, a torque and speed transducer. The recorded values will be integrated into a measurement and data storage system, in the form of a dedicated application, which will run on the same computer. The material presents the preliminary results of designing and implementation of the stand;it will be continued upon completion of the deployment of this test device.

Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) is an indispensable technique for reducing carbon dioxide emissions and enhancing gas recovery. Due to CO2 separation from the CO2-rich sulfur-containing waste gas being high cost, the co-injection technique of the CO2/H2S mixture is significant. Consequently, in this study, we studied the competitive adsorption behavior of CH4/CO2/H2S mixture adsorption in various pore sizes kerogen nanopores by Grand Canonical Monte Carlo (GCMC) and Equilibrium Molecular Dynamics (EMD) simulations (at 373.15 K and pressure up to 45 MPa). The adsorption density of the CH4/CO2/H2S mixture is greatly influenced by pore sizes. CO2 molecule tends to align parallel along kerogen surfaces, and the H atom of the H2S molecule tends to close to the kerogen surface only in 0.5 nm pore size. The excess adsorption, CE(i), the total interaction energy, and the specific interaction energy results show that the adsorption capacity of the kerogen surface is H2S > CO2 > CH4. The size of the average density of CO2, and H2S is 0.5 > 1 > 2 > 3 > 4 nm, but CH4 is the opposite. Overall, the effect of pore size for competitive adsorption leads to 0.5 nm to 1 nm pore size is better for CO2/H2S storage and shale gas exploitation. The findings from this study have important implications for CO2/H2S mixtures injection into kerogen reservoirs. It is the theoretical significance for the engineering of shale gas production and CO2/H2S storage.

With the advancement of agricultural modernization, machine vision technology has garnered increasing attention in the agricultural product sorting domain. This study focuses on addressing the developmental requirements of the Chinese specialty fruit industry, with a particular emphasis on the high-value fruit - loquat. We propose an integrated system design scheme for an automated sorting system that incorporates defect detection, ripeness assessment, and fruit diameter classification. Employing deep convolutional neural networks (DCNN), we achieve end-to-end feature learning and defect detection in loquat images. The maturity of loquats is determined via color space transformation and threshold segmentation methods, while machine learning algorithms are employed to classify and grade extracted fruit diameter data. In terms of system design, we present a comprehensive approach to integrate various technologies into a unified system, thereby enhancing overall sorting efficiency and accuracy. Test results demonstrate significant improvements in production efficiency, quality stability, and reductions in labor costs and misjudgment rates. This study offers novel insights and solutions for the advancement of smart agriculture.

Diamond-like film (DLC) with Cr as transition layer was prepared on the surface of magnesium base alloy by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) to improve the corrosion resistance of high performance lightweight structural materials magnesium base alloy. The surface morphology of Cr/DLC films was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy. The composition of Cr/DLC films was analyzed by energy dispersion spectrometer (EDS). The composition and structure of Cr/DLC film were characterized by Raman spectroscopy. Salt spray corrosion (3.5 wt % NaCl), polarization test and contact Angle test were used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of the samples. The results show that the Cr/DLC film prepared on magnesium alloy matrix by PECVD method has dense microstructure, enhanced hydrophobicity and reduced corrosion rate, which can effectively improve the corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy and provide a theoretical basis for promoting the engineering application of magnesium alloy.

In response to the issues of significant reservoir damage and poor sand-carrying performance associated with conventional guar gum fracturing fluids used in oil and gas reservoir fracturing operations, a novel zwitterionic surfactant OPHS was developed, and a VES fracturing fluid system was formulated. Evaluation of the comprehensive performance of the VES fracturing fluid system revealed several key findings. Firstly, the VES system exhibited favorable viscoelastic behavior, with elasticity consistently greater than viscosity within the tested range. Secondly, under conditions of 90 degrees C and 170 s(-1), after 60 min of shearing, the viscosity of the fracturing fluid remained stable at above 40 mPa center dot s, indicating good rheological properties. Additionally, the system demonstrated excellent sand-carrying capabilities, with a settling rate of 0.31 mm/s at 80 degrees C. Furthermore, after the addition of 10% kerosene micelle-breaking agent, the surface tension of the breaking agent was measured at 26.28 mN/m, and the interfacial tension was 0.65 mN/m, indicating favorable interfacial activity conducive to smooth flowback post-fracturing. Moreover, the damage rate to reservoir cores caused by the breaking agent was only 6.45%, significantly lower than that caused by HPG fracturing fluid. Overall, the comprehensive evaluation suggests that the VES fracturing fluid system can provide technical support for reservoir fracturing operations in oil and gas reservoirs and holds promising applications in the field.

The presented study focuses on the experimental system identification for the longitudinal aircraft model of a micro fixed-wing unmanned airplane in ground effect flights and the longitudinal dynamic stability analysis. The primary contribution is modifying the traditional longitudinal aerodynamic models (i.e. lift coefficient CL, drag coefficient CD and pitching moment coefficient Cm) to incorporate the influence of altitude variation in the ground effect and utilize experimental flight data to identify the model parameters. In this study, we incorporate the relative altitude as an additional state variable. This extends the ordinary Taylor expansion of the longitudinal aerodynamic coefficient model to include the "height derivatives" (i.e. CLh, CDh and Cmh [4]). Agenetic optimization algorithm is applied to the flight data and executes the estimation of the model derivatives. After filling the aircraft state space model, the primary observation was that the Phugoid mode becomes unstable, and the Short Period Mode turns out to be less stable in the ground effect flight. Meanwhile, an unconventional convergent and non-oscillatory mode shows the aircraft's tendency to maintain its nominal flight speed and altitude. It should be noted that different aircraft configurations and designs could lead to different values of height derivatives, which will consequently lead to different ground effect dynamic behaviour. For the illustration, a root locus analysis with respect to each height derivative is performed. The single impact of each height derivative is observed so that it provides insights into the aircraft design considerations.

Smart contracts, due to their decentralized nature and immutability, have demonstrated significant potential in various sectors such as finance and supply chains. However, as their applications have expanded, their security vulnerabilities have increasingly come to light. In response to the frequent occurrences of smart contract attacks, researchers have undertaken a series of studies, including the development of automated vulnerability detection tools, dynamic monitoring techniques, and vulnerability remediation strategies. However, these detection tools often rely on static analysis and fail to capture dynamic vulnerabilities that occur during runtime. Additionally, dynamic monitoring is limited by the ability to acquire and process real-time data, and it lacks the capability to globally analyze security risks during phased attacks. Similarly, mechanisms for updating vulnerabilities might inadvertently introduce new risks by leaving backdoors in smart contracts. To address these issues, this paper proposes a new method for assessing the reputation and evaluating the risks of smart contracts, aimed at enhancing the security of the blockchain ecosystem through the analysis of smart contract invocation trajectories. The effectiveness and practicality of this method have been validated by evaluating real attack cases that have occurred on-chain. Finally, the paper summarizes the research findings and explores potential future research directions, aiming to provide new insights and solutions for the field of smart contract security.
