In response to the potential issue of transaction amount leakage in current blockchain systems, we have explored an efficient, low computational complexity method for the secure verification of transaction amounts in blockchain, which also protects privacy. Utilizing homomorphic encryption and digital signature technology, we propose the use of the Paillier algorithm for the verification of transaction amounts in blockchain. This approach aims to protect the amounts sent and received in blockchain transactions and provides the functionality to update the balances of the transaction parties in an encrypted state. Through in-depth security analysis and experimental evaluation, this solution has been verified to not only meet security requirements but also achieve our performance expectations.

Evaluating the structural robustness of an onshore wind turbine tower necessitates the quantification of its stochastic dynamic behavior subjected to variable wind loads. Nevertheless, the intricate nonlinearity inherent in the turbine's governing dynamics poses a substantial computational challenge for time-domain analysis of stochastic responses. To mitigate this, we introduce a frequency-domain linearization approach for the tower's dynamic modeling, thereby streamlining the computation process. This research presents a frequency-based framework for modeling wind turbines, leveraging an analytical technique to derive the power spectral density (PSD) of wind velocity and the corresponding loads on the rotating blades. A flexible multi-body dynamics (MBD) framework is adopted to construct the dynamic model of the onshore turbine, where the inherently nonlinear dynamic equations are linearized into a time-invariant form through a multi-blade coordinate (MBC) transformation. Following this, the PSD of tower displacements and internal forces are computed within the frequency domain. The analytical findings align closely with Monte Carlo simulation (MCS) outcomes, with a maximum relative discrepancy of 8.4% in statistical metrics (mean and variance), underscoring the efficacy and accuracy of the proposed frequency-domain methodology.

In the wake of the accelerated advancements in computing technology and the onset of the big data era, image segmentation technology has emerged as a pivotal component within the domain of medical image analysis. The primary objective of image segmentation is to partition an image into constituent regions characterized by distinct features, thereby facilitating precise quantitative analysis crucial for disease diagnosis, biomarker discovery, and broader medical research endeavours. Among various techniques, the graph theoretical approach (GTA) stands out due to its robust theoretical underpinnings. This approach not only structures image elements into coherent mathematical frameworks but also enhances problem formulation, rendering it more adaptable and computationally efficient. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of essential graph theoretical approaches (GTAs), such as minimum spanning tree algorithms, graph cuts, Markov random fields, and shortest path approaches, and their application in biomedical imaging, including MRI images, CT scans and Ultrasound images. It discusses the challenges of high computational demands, scalability for large image datasets, and integrating deep learning. Despite these challenges, the paper highlights the exceptional analytical power of GTAs in processing complex biomedical images.

The planetary roller screw mechanism (PRSM), with high load-bearing capacity, long service life, and high precision, is the new type of thread-pairs transmission mechanism, which is widely used in the weapon system and industrial robot. The friction force is caused by the sliding motion, and the geometrical errors change the contact characteristics and rolling-sliding motion, such as eccentric errors. However, the friction characteristics of PRSM with the eccentric errors have been unclear. Hence, this work investigates the friction characteristics of PRSM with the eccentric errors. The sliding friction coefficient of thread pairs is determined based on the equivalent friction test. The sliding friction value and direction of thread pairs on screw-roller (SR) side with the eccentric errors of nut and screw are analyzed. It is found that the eccentric errors cause the periodic variations of the friction force and direction. The eccentric errors of nut and screw have the combined effects on the sliding friction force and friction torque of thread pairs on the SR side.

Bridges play a pivotal role in the transportation infrastructure of any country, and the nation's economy directly relies on these infrastructures. The modern design philosophy demands the adaptive response of the structures to diverse natural forces, necessitating the use of modern material and design approaches. In this context, the concept of novel two stage friction pendulum bearing (TSFPB) was introduced, offering different stiffness and yield force at each stage. The difference in yield force and stiffness for each stage enables it to provide adaptive behavior to both severe and moderate earthquakes. OpenSees modeling offers efficient computational simulations of complex structural behaviors under dynamic loads with great flexibility and lower computational costs compared to traditional solid modeling. So, the nonlinear element model of TSFPB was developed in OpenSees and compared its seismic performance against traditional isolation bearing structure under various earthquake intensities inOpenSees. The findings revealed that the seismic performance of TSFPB significantly surpasses the traditional isolation bearing in terms of energy dissipation, adaptive stiffness, and post-earthquake resilience. This study provides a foundation for future AI-based seismic performance assessment studies.

A bond-based peridynamic methodology is used to investigate failure induced by dynamic unloading of highly stressed rocks. A combined static and dynamic PD approach is introduced along with its numerical implementations are proposed to simulate the behavior of geo-materials subjected to various loading conditions. To validate/verify the proposed method, simple three-point bending test and dynamic unloading of a pre-pressure rock bar are simulated. The simulation results are compared with the theoretical results as well as experimental results to assess the reliability of the proposed algorithm. The damage caused by the dynamic unloading of rocks under different initial stress states are simulated. The mechanism of crack generation in the rocks is analyzed using the Mohr's Circle. Finally, the damage caused by the dynamic unloading in the surrounding rock of a deep circular tunnel is simulated. PD method can effectively simulate the generation and development of rock cracks caused by dynamic unloading, and can also simulate the damage during excavation. This provides a new insight into the integrity of rock masses subjected to dynamic unloading.

The paper presents the result of studying the possibility of improving the existing technical systems in field of mining engineering. An appropriate methodology is proposed aimed to achieve new improved variants of existing technical solutions. The del-model of engineering design for the field of maintenance in mining machines was developed as a modified and improved variant of the V-model. A real process of innovative design was demonstrated through the example of the reconstruction of the belt conveyor drive as part of the SchRs 1400 rotary excavator working on an open-pit coal mine. The parameters for verifying the results achieved through the application of a new technical solution are also shown through the machine maintenance system of the excavator. The new proposed solution is reflected in the shortening of work downtime, increased system readiness, humanization of work, savings in the cost of tools, devices and worker hours, reducing the risk of damage to parts and equipment, reducing the risk of injury at work, reducing the risk of fire, etc. The authors of the paper, through an example attend to present that improved parameters contribute to faster and easier fulfillment of mining production plans, which was one of the main goals of the innovative process.

This paper show the calculation and analysis of scissor lifts for heavy vehicles. In the wake of escalating service demands on key-section components within renewable energy systems, coupled with the ambitious goals of carbon neutrality, this paper introduces the novel "engineering damage theory." This ground-breaking theoretical framework is the cornerstone of our study, designed to transcend the limitations inherent in existing life assessment methodologies, which predominantly provide passive macroscopic predictions without the capability for dynamic adaptation and regulation. By integrating disciplines such as material science, information science, and mechanical science, the engineering damage theory provides a comprehensive, full-chain approach to understanding and managing the progression of structural damage from the microscale to macroscale. The development and implementation of this theory are articulated through four interconnected stages: deformation mechanism, damage regulation, life prediction, and reliability assessment. Key direction in the future to this theory is the establishment of an advanced intelligent life-management platform, which leverages real-time data acquisition and analytics to enhance the assessment of damage resistance in critical components. This platform supports the foundational elements for a next-generation digital twin system equipped with active feedback capabilities, aimed at optimizing the operational performance and safety of mechanical structures. By shifting from a traditionally passive life assessment to an active life design, the engineering damage theory not only aims to significantly extend the operational lifespan of structures but also to enhance their safety and efficiency. This proactive approach is particularly crucial in high-stakes environments where the failure of components can lead to severe consequences. At present, helicopter rescue has garnered increasing attention. However, existing research predominantly focuses on water impact and flotation stability, with limited attention given to the influence of emergency floats on helicopter aerodynamic characteristics. To address this gap, this study investigates the aerodynamic interference resulting from different configurations of emergency floats on the helicopter using numerical simulations via the RANS method. The flow field around the emergency float, helicopter fuselage, and helicopter-float combination are individually calculated through numerical simulations. Subsequently, the aerodynamic interference effects of initial (cylindrical-float) and modified (ellipsoidal-float) configurations of emergency floats on the helicopter are analyzed. It is found that emergency floats significantly impact the aerodynamic characteristics of the helicopter during forward flight. The cylindrical-float-helicopter combination exhibits a drag coefficient of approximately 0.059, representing a 48% increase compared to the helicopter without floats. Meanwhile, the ellipsoidal-float-helicopter combination demonstrates a drag coefficient of about 0.046, marking a 15% increase relative to the helicopter without floats. The aerodynamic interference also effects the emergency floats themself, with variations in pressure coefficients observed among different floats in the front and tail positions, while similarities are noted in the middle part. The differential pressure coefficients between the interior and exterior of the floats surpasses that between the upper and lower sections, primarily due to increased flow velocity between the float and fuselage. Through comparison, it is indicated that the ellipsoidal-floats reduce the aerodynamic impact on the helicopter compared to the cylindrical-floats, resulting in a smaller drag coefficient for the helicopter-float combination.
