Wave energy, as a novel form of renewable energy, holds promising potential for efficient electricity generation. Regarding oscillating buoy-type wave energy converters, many countries have already put prototypes into use, indicating a broad technological outlook for wave energy utilization. This study introduces an array float type wave energy generation system, develops a three-dimensional model of an individual buoy, and evaluates the buoy's vertical motion response characteristics at varying draft depths using the hydrodynamic analysis software AQWA. Subsequently, finite element analysis is employed to appraise the structural integrity of the buoy. The wave energy generation system featuring array buoys undergoes power generation simulation using Matlab/Simulink, furnishing valuable data for the advancement of such systems.

The article analyses the temporary and total energy consumption of an electric vehicle in real road conditions in relation to the annual operating period. These studies focused on finding the relationship between average energy consumption, average speed and the "ECO" - economic driving indicator returned by the car's on-board computer. An analysis of the speed profile for more frequently used journeys was carried out, which was 5% in the fast traffic mode (Motorway), 55% in the extra-urban mode, and 40% in the urban mode. From observations recorded for a selected electric car, energy consumption fluctuations range from 9.0 kWh/100km to 34.0 kWh/100km with an annual average of 15.43 kWh/100km. Thus, the driver can reduce consumption by 42% or increase it by 120% depending on the demanding road conditions or driving style. The article will focus on the reasons for such a discrepancy and indicate the conditions under which car driving meets the condition of high average speed and at the same time low fuel consumption. In this context, attention was paid to the impact of external temperature on energy consumption during various periods of use of an electric car. For individual journeys, the relationship between energy consumption and average speed was used using the Pareto method to determine the journey that was carried out with a high average speed and low energy consumption. The article allows you to realistically assess the efficiency of electric vehicles based on the results of driving tests in real conditions and determine the actual costs of energy consumption, which depend on many factors. The factor that has a significant impact on energy consumption is the outdoor temperature, which when the temperature is below 0 degrees C increases the energy consumption of approximately 30% for temperatures ranging from 10 to 25 degrees C.

Continuous transport machines are characterized by continuous operation during transport, i.e., the movement takes place continuously from the place of reception to the position of handing over the cargo without stopping to accept and dispose of the material. In production zones, distribution hubs, and warehouses, optimizing every square meter is essential. This heightened focus on efficiency has spurred a rising demand for the vertical transportation of goods. As space becomes a premium, there's an increasing necessity to utilize height effectively for transporting items, enabling better use of available square footage without compromising on storage or operational efficiency. In production lines, vertical transport might be specific to certain technologies, but in warehousing, it's an ongoing requirement. To make this process efficient, it's essential to minimize the space used on the floor while maximizing the vertical movement of goods. This means finding smart ways to utilize height without taking up unnecessary volume. The paper shows the basic design of continuous vertical conveyors and compares their characteristics in several aspects.

Numerous monopile-supported offshore wind turbines (OWTs) have been installed in seismic regions. Meanwhile, scour phenomena caused by ocean wave-current action impact the dynamic characteristics of OWTs, resulting in more challenges. However, such combined effects of scour and earthquake on responses of OWTs with different relative densities in sands are not well understood. In this study, an efficiently integrated numerical model is proposed, considering dynamic soil-structure interaction (SSI) effects. Dynamic SSI phenomena are captured using lumped parameter models (LPMs), which are developed through fitting frequency-dependent impedance functions. Then, scour effects on seismic responses of monopile-supported OWTs in loose and medium-dense sands are investigated. Results indicate that as the scour depth increases (the primary influencing factor at scoured sites), the natural frequency of the offshore wind turbine decreases obviously. Therefore, the seismic responses are significantly changed, and the OWTs in medium-dense sands are more sensitive to scour effects. Certainly, the seismic spectral characteristics also play an important role in the computational outcomes.

This paper represents main differences of measurement results between CMM and measuring scanner on the 3D printed product. Depending on the applied measurement methodology and thus the amount of information for presenting the representative geometry of the measuring object, the analysis of the differences in measurement results can be used to reconsider the im-pact of layer-by-layer product manufacturing on dimension variations. The measurement differences between CMM and the scanned geometry were established as a consequence of the product fabrication in the layers and the amount of information used to obtain the results. Variations of the object dimensions in the printing direction have been inspected on scanned geometry and compared with obtained values from CMM which helps to under-stand the diversity of the obtained results.

In the field of satellite communications, space phased array antennas are integral due to their multi-band and multi-angle communication capabilities. However, the conventional crate structure of these antennas presents a significant drawback in terms of weight, leading to increased launch costs. To address this issue, this paper proposes an innovative design for flexible thin-film carrier phased array antennas, which aims to reduce the transmitting mass while overcoming the challenge of buckling inherent in ultrathin flexible structures. The proposed design incorporates a zero Poisson's ratio orthogonal elliptic hole structure, which is shown to effectively suppress film wrinkling without compromising the film-carrying capacity. Wrinkling in such structures can detrimentally impact the planarity and, consequently, the electrical performance of the antenna. The paper provides an in-depth exploration of the principle of zero Poisson's ratio in the context of wrinkle suppression and introduces a novel design concept that involves the strategic placement of orthogonal elliptical holes on the membrane surface of the antenna. Additionally, the paper outlines the design space in which the parameters of these holes influence the wrinkle suppression function, taking into consideration the structural characteristics of the repeating unit of the phased array antenna. This innovative design approach offers a promising solution for reducing the transmitting mass of space phased array antennas while maintaining their planarity and electrical performance, thereby advancing antenna technology for satellite communications.

At present, the research on the pathology of malignant infectious diseases has become one of the hot spots in the field of medical care. Faced with the risk of sporadic outbreaks of infectious diseases, regional infectious disease risk assessment and analysis has important theoretical and practical significance. Especially in the early stages of infectious disease outbreaks, the assessment results play an important role in helping to develop reasonable prevention and control strategies and suppressing further losses caused by infectious diseases. This study proposes a regional infectious disease risk assessment method based on D-S (Dempster Shafer) evidence theory. Firstly, based on existing research results, construct an infectious disease risk model. Then, map the regional risks and the actual situation of infectious diseases into the risk model to obtain the necessary data for risk assessment. Next, the fusion assessment results of regional infectious disease risk are calculated using the D-S theory. The assessment results can demonstrate the level of infectious disease risk in the region and the weaknesses when the region faces different types of infectious diseases. Finally, the study verifies the effectiveness, rationality, and feasibility of the proposed method through case design and analysis.

It is well-known that the research and development of new technologies, and their implementation in production processes and human environment lead to great changes and the shaping of a new world. Technological innovations continuously develop and change over time, however implementation is delayed and the reason is rigid infrastructure. In order to ensure an optimal future we must adapt to the changes that are coming. Many developed and developing countries have realized this and adopted their strategies for implementing Industry 4.0 and carry out its implementation. Change their production processes in such a way that they implement the basic technologies of Industry 4.0 (there are currently over forty in the world), such as: Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Smart Sensors, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), 3D Printing, Advanced Security Systems, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence (AI), etc. By introducing the aforementioned basic technologies into production processes, they become more automated and flexible with the tendency to become smart production processes. The paper provides an analysis of the implementation of robotic technology as the basic technology of Industry 4.0 in the country of China as the leading country in the world in research, development and implementation of this technology. The paper attempts to find an answer as to why China is the world leader in the implementation of robotic technology.

The global and local environments are experiencing profound transformations in the 21st century, primarily due to the adverse impacts of climate change. Increasing temperatures and shifts in precipitation patterns present challenges to the natural world and human-made structures. Countries and settlements strive to reduce carbon dioxide emissions through the broader use of renewable energy sources. Adaptation to changing conditions is highly emphasized. These circumstances can be improved by more efficient and multipurpose uses of existing infrastructures or with small-scale expansions and broader, more complex use of renewable resources. A small settlement at Lake Velence, Nadap, has the highest ratio of solar panels in Hungary. It can be achieved by combining this advantage with its hilly location, sustainable energy security, and economic benefits. This paper develops a theoretical methodology for how rainwater and gravity energy storage can be utilized using the geographical characteristics of the settlement and its existing solar panel capacities. The methodology uses rainwater budget modeling, local solar-cell capacity calculation, and the selection of state-of-the-art mechanical gravity energy storage systems based on a literature review. Additionally, this paper aims to develop a rainwater management system that optimizes crop irrigation and maximizes energy storage in hilly settlements, with the cooperation of stakeholders, in a multidisciplinary approach.
