In this publication the mathematical description of the tooth connection and the analysis of the tooth of driven gears will be focused based on the effect of different load forces. These will be loaded on the top of the tooth on the surfaces of the face cone. Five types of bevel gears having different sum of pitch angles were designed. The normal stresses and normal deformations of one tooth will be determined into two perpendicular directions on both tooth sides. The aim of this research is the analysis of the received mechanical parameters in the function of the changing of the sum of pitch angles and the load forces.

High-frequency excitation is known to influence systems with friction such that undesired phenomena can be suppressed. In the present publication, a rotational friction joint under axial high-frequency excitation is investigated theoretically, and a corresponding experimental test rig is presented. The focus is on the thermo-mechanical coupling in the system, as friction-induced heat generation can lead to a higher contact pressure, which results in higher friction forces. A coupled model of a linear oscillator and a thermo-mechanical continuum gives insight into the interactions between friction, heat evolution, and vibrations. In the test rig, the necessary torque to supply a constant shaft rotation in a friction bearing is measured. A piezoelectric actuator excites the bearing to axial oscillations. Furthermore, the temperature of the shaft's friction contact is measured by a non-contact pyrometer. A relation between high-frequency excitation, friction torque, and heat evolution can be analyzed this way.

In the actual application environment, the probability of underwater multi-point initiation is very high. The research of multi-point explosion characteristics is of great reference value for the advancement of protection technology for personnel and equipment. For the square-distributed four-charge structure, the multi-peak pressure gain and pulse gain of the square-distributed charge and the single-charge were calculated and compared by measuring the explosion pressure perpendicular to the axis of the distribution surface, and the explosion time difference of each explosive was recorded for calibration simulation results. Then the influence of non-reflective boundary conditions on the numerical simulation of LS-DYNA asynchronous explosion was discussed, and the computational domain size which can reduce the boundary reflection and accurately simulate the multi-peak shock wave was determined by using the virtual source method. The synchronous explosion and the underwater non-synchronous explosion corresponding to the test condition were simulated by the programmed detonation method. The peak time and waveform of the test curve are in good agreement with the numerical simulation curve. The error of the peak pressure ranges from -40.68% to -2.680%, and the influence of the refined mesh size on the peak pressure is hardly more than 5%. The experimental results show that due to the large non-synchronous initiation time difference caused by the random error of the initiation system and the charge, the overpressure gain along the symmetry axis of the four charges will be less than 30%, and the impulse gain will be between 13.10% and 22.35%. Under the ideal synchronous explosion condition, the overpressure gain along the symmetry axis can reach 200%. The research results have a certain significance for the protection design of underwater equipment under extreme load conditions.

The tooth deflections caused by the transmitted load in spur gears results in a sooner start of contact (and a delayed end of contact) and a parabolic loading process (and downloading process) along the additional contact intervals. This increase of the effective length of contact reduces the interval of single tooth contact and therefore moves the critical load points, which influences the teeth strength. For spur gears with contact ratio close to 2 and heavy load, the increase on the length of contact may result in an effective contact ratio greater than 2. In this case, the interval of single tooth contact is eliminated, and the maximum load decreases, in such a way that the greater the total transmitted load, the smaller the fraction of the load transmitted by the teeth, which may result in lower values of the critical stresses. This paper presents a model for the determination of the load sharing ratio and the critical tooth root stress of spur gears with contact ratio greater than 2 under loading conditions.

The effects of structural parameters on the acoustic characteristics of geometrically asymmetric folded plate as well as its structural parameter optimization were conducted numerically in the present study. The results indicate that the geometrically asymmetric acoustic metamaterial investigated in the present paper exhibits isotropic reflection and transmission characteristics. Compared to the plate spacing and material properties, the plate thickness, deflection angle and plate inner diameter are more sensitive to its acoustic characteristics. Additionally, based on orthogonal optimization design, the transmission loss of the investigated geometrically asymmetric acoustic metamaterial is improved significantly in the frequency range below 2500 Hz. The studies can provide guidelines for the design of geometrically asymmetric folded plate acoustic metamaterials.

Treatment non-adherence is a widespread problem in healthcare context, which puts the health of many patients at risk and significantly affects the costs of the healthcare system. The solution to this problem has promoted the use of pill dispensers for the controlled distribution of therapy at home. This paper provides a general overview of the current state of the art of home pill dispensers' operating principles. The analysis, which is technical in nature, focuses on the mechanical features as well as the operational and functional mechanisms. Three macro-categories of devices are identified, which differ in their functional mechanisms and design characteristics. The different dispensers belonging to each group are analyzed, and the categories are compared. The results, presented using a schematic approach, provide an indication of the technologies used to produce these devices.

By analyzing the current development process of human-computer collaboration (HRC) and combining the realistic development needs of complex collaborative environments, an experimental paradigm for detecting the abnormalities of the HRC system is constructed by taking collaborative assembly of mobile phone panels as a case study. Brain-Computer Interaction (BCI) technique is employed to assess the similarities and differences between normal and abnormal signals, thereby addressing the issue of the inability to predict and model abnormalities in the work of human-computer collaborative assembly (HRCA). The results demonstrate that smaller perceptual differences result in significant similarities and differences between major electroencephalogram (EEG) components, such as N1, N2 and P3. This suggests that the design of the paradigm and experiment is reasonable and feasible. This paper also discusses the next part of the work, which is to generate a mapping model of thinking and intention by extracting multi-dimensional data features, transforming the process of human behaviour - neural response - data features into abnormalities - intention model system task, which will provide an important idea for the systems and robots to better understand and perceive human beings.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is not only experiencing rapid development but also supporting the prosperity of the digital economy. The interconnectedness of everything within the digital economy has brought economic growth to countries, but it has also given rise to serious security threats. The threat landscape has evolved, making it increasingly difficult for single security devices to detect these attacks. Anonymous communication and network traffic obfuscation, while protecting privacy, also provide a means for malicious traffic to evade intrusion detection. This article provides an introduction to attacks and evasion techniques employed by malicious software in the current digital economy, focusing on both code and traffic aspects. These techniques include obfuscation, dynamic link library hijacking, encryption, protocol tunneling, fragmentation, and reassembly. Furthermore, the article discusses various software and hardware technologies for detection and prevention of malware infection, such as sandboxing and memory protection. Lastly, the article explores and analyzes the evasion and detection of future malicious programs, while also highlighting the network security opportunities and challenges in the future digital economy.

In this paper, we start from known scientific facts about biological systems that are generated at the nano level, so that through embryogenesis they become a microsystem and with growth a macro system. From the aspect of nanotechnology, there is a challenge to create similar self-organizing technical systems that would be compatible and complementary to biological systems. To accomplish the given goal, it is necessary to define the method by which it can be achieved. From the point of view of science ("the West"), the fundamental determinant in knowing the structural arrangement of the system is symmetry, because all the basic laws of physics are based on symmetrical transformations. From the aspect of the information of the system ("East"), the basic principle of functioning is harmony. However, what "East" and "West" have in common, as well as the functional organization of the coded system (structural-informational), is what is primordial, and that is perfection. The SHP (symmetry, harmony, and perfection) method leads to knowledge about a new possibility in biomedical engineering for eliminating dysfunctional disorders in the human organism. Initial experimental research on the effect of the SHP "molecular machine" based on the second derivative of the C-60 molecule (SD-C-60) was performed on animals and humans for neurodegenerative diseases, melanoma, Alzheimer's, pain, locomotor dynamics, and memory. Also, on the other hand, based on the "SHP nano-molecular machine", it is possible to design and develop multifractal micro and macro machines based on self-organization and self-control.

The paper offers an in-depth analysis of a steel truss portal designed to support road traffic signaling, information, and monitoring equipment on highways. This analysis encompasses both static and modal assessments of the structural performance under a range of operating conditions. The Finite Element Method was employed for this evaluation, using Autodesk Inventor Nastran for linear static, normal modes, modal frequency response, and random response analyses, in addition to ANSYS modules for static structural, modal, and random vibrations investigations. The results provide valuable insights into the dynamic behavior of the resistance structure and shed light on the implications of using different Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software packages for calculating critical values essential for the safe and cost-effective design of similar structures through numerical modeling.
