Failure of blood-contacting medical devices, such as vascular grafts and stents, is often attributed to thrombosis-related complications. To provide an alternative insight into the often very complex interaction between the forming clot and blood flow, the study introduces a continuum-based computational model based on a two-way coupled modelling approach. The basis of the model is formed by three interconnected submodels, each representing an essential part of the highly dynamic thrombosis process (blood clotting, fibrin polymerisation, and platelet plug formation). For the description of blood flow exposed to a coagulation trigger, a multiscale approach is used to ensure physiologically relevant flow conditions even during an imminent vessel blockage.

Extended reach wells have been widely implemented due to the demand of oilfield development and the contradiction of sea use. Due to the lack of overburden pressure and short sedimentation time, shallow formation tends to be poorly bonded, and it is hard to get a real core from underground. The high content of Smectite makes it active in water-rock interaction. Rock on the wellbore may absorb the free water from the drilling fluid and expand, making the wellbore unstable. Extended Reach Wells face a greater risk of wellbore instability due to large horizontal displacement, long angle holding section and long construction period. To reveal the stability of Extended Reach Wells, the well logging data is processed to calculate formation parameters by physical principle and empirical equation, the core experiments are conducted for calibration, and the lost circulation test is carried out to get in-situ stress. By analyzing and describing the geological characteristics and correcting the stratigraphic profile parameters, the wellbore stability of extended reach wells is predicted based on the mechanical analysis, giving the equivalent density window of collapse pressure, leakage pressure, and fracture pressure. In this way, the risk section can be pointed out and the construction of extended reach wells in Bohai oilfield can be supported.

The operating conditions of aero-engines' components are becoming increasingly severe. The occurrence of strong transient thermal environments during mode transitions in variable cycle engines results in reduction of material properties, with the complex failure modes that encompass thermal fatigue and thermal mechanical fatigue. This paper aims to develop a precise rapid temperature tracking control methodology, while designing a specimen form and temperature change methods through simulation analysis. The multi-physical simulation of magnetic-thermal-solid coupling for temperature field was calculated using the finite element method. A hollow thin-walled tube specimen was designed, utilizing electromagnetic induction heating and forced convection cooling to achieve temperature changes. Using the programmable controller, a double-loop multi-stage proportional integral derivative (PID) control methodology was constructed. The parameter adjustment simulation was validated by software. Finally, the experimental results demonstrated that within the operating temperature range, the specimen's concerned section achieved a temperature change rate of 100 degrees C/s, effectively controlling a triangular wave with consistent heating and cooling rates. The error was less than 8.31%, and the waveform was smooth, with preferable temperature uniformity. It validates the effectiveness of the novel experimental methodology, which may provide a new way to simulate and control the strong transient thermal environments in support of reliability tests and safety research.

The safety management in the infrastructure industry is governed by a variety of regulatory documents and management codes. However, the current regulation compliance checking often relies on manual or exhaustive matching methods, which can result in issues such as inconsistent rating scales, artificial manipulation, and time-consuming procedures. Therefore, this study presents a novel approach that integrates knowledge graph (KG) and large language model (LLM) to facilitate knowledge mining and application in safety management regulatory texts. First, a semantic expression framework is established to represent the domain knowledge of regulatory texts. Subsequently, considering the requirements of rule interpretation, knowledge extraction is carried out on the regulatory texts to obtain KG. Then, based on the prompt-tuning, the KG is leveraged to enhance LLM's inference of regulatory documents and management codes. Finally, a safety management workflow based on automatic rule interpretation is proposed and successfully applied to a hydropower project. The results demonstrate that this method can effectively enhance the interpretability of safety management codes and reduce reliance on domain experts. This study substantiates the effectiveness of integrating KG and LLM for knowledge mining and application. This work can provide a practical reference for enhancing automated and intelligent safety management in the infrastructure industry.

Remote monitoring and intelligent diagnosis of operating condition are two key aspects for achieving cloud intelligent diagnosis of beam pumping unit. However, current manual detection method restricts real-time diagnostic efficiency. This paper established the Shufflenet_V2 lightweight model based on transfer learning for the proposed torque-angle dynamometer card to achieve effective and rapid diagnosis of working conditions. Firstly, a dataset of the torque-angle dynamometer card was constructed. Secondly, the Shufflenet_V2 pre-training model based on transfer learning was constructed and trained using the above recognition dataset. Finally, the overall performance of the model and the recognition performance under different working conditions were evaluated using model parameters, ACC and MCC evaluation indexes and compared with mainstream models. The results showed that compared with other models, the Shufflenet_V2 model reduced model parameters and at the same time, by applying transfer learning, the model's recognition ability was greatly improved. The overall performance based on ACC and MCC was higher than 95%. In addition, when evaluating unbalanced working conditions, ACC cannot accurately represent the identification performance of each working condition. According to the MCC evaluation index, except for traveling valve leak, the recognition performance of each category is above 90%.

With the rapid development of ocean utilization and the rise of unmanned surface vehicle (USV) cluster applications, the demand for dealing with complex sea condition is increasing. Multi-USV cooperative control strategy has become an important technology to improve operational efficiency. This paper aims to propose a multi-agent path planning algorithm combing Model Predictive Control (MPC) and Deep Q Network (DQN) to achieve cooperative control of multiple USVs in the marine environment. Firstly, based on the simple_adversary environment of MPE, this study verifies the effectiveness of the combination of MPC and DQN algorithms and realizes the trajectory planning of multiple USVs. Then, through comparative experiments, this paper analyzes the performance of the proposed strategy in the simulated confrontation environments and proves its superiority under dynamic and uncertain conditions. Finally, considering the particularity and challenges of the marine environment, this paper further discusses the feasibility of the application of the strategy in the actual marine environment. The simulation results show that the strategy combined with MPC and DQN effectively realizes the multi-agent path planning and show its application potential in the USV cluster control scenario. Further research is needed to explore the scalability and robustness in the real environment. This exploration will help to develop a more superior cluster control system to better cope with the uncertain marine environment.

Highly elastic polymers, such as rubber, exhibit significant research interest due to their large deformation mechanics at intermediate strain rates. Addressing this issue, the present study introduces a design for a Hopkinson Tensile Bar apparatus to capture the mechanical response of highly elastic soft materials. A striker tube-incident bar configuration of equal length and wave impedance was developed, generating superimposed cyclic stress waves on the bar, capable of producing an ultra-long incident pulse over 40 ms in duration. Based on this loading principle, an improved Hopkinson bar apparatus was designed. Simulation results indicate that the load strain, strain rate, and stress can be calculated from the strain signals on the bar, demonstrating good testing accuracy.

The presented paper aimed to the defects per product (DPU) analysis of industrial parts in the context of six-sigma implementation. The case study refers to implementation of Six Sigma methodology in order to improve the defects per million opportunities indices in accordance with project objectives. In order to determine the performance level of the product, three critically quality characteristics were taken into account. The implemented statistical estimation highlights the decreasing of occurrence probability of specific defects. The charts of observed and expected values for defects before and after improving were plotted. In order to highlights the mean dependency of monitored samples, paired t Test was applied. The comparative process capability before and after the implementation of Six Sigma were carried out on the Poisson Capability estimation. The results indicate that the process defects per units for improved stage was significantly less than the maximum acceptable level (p < 0.05). Also, before and after Poisson capability comparison indicate that process was significant improvement for the three critical monitored quality characteristics.

In recent years, the global new crown pneumonia epidemic has accelerated the online sales of fresh products, and nondestructive testing technology has been widely applied to the design of mango grading and inspection systems. Due to the fast detection efficiency and high automation of nondestructive testing technology, it has become an important tool for the research of mango sorting technology. For this reason, this paper proposes to introduce machine vision technology to the design of high-quality mango sorting machine, using filtering and edge detection technology of images, which extracts the dimensional characteristics of mangoes and combines with weighing and sorting to effectively improve the efficiency and accuracy of sorting. After testing experiments on the sorting machine, the results show that: the adoption of mango size, weight, color and shape detection method based on machine vision technology can effectively improve the accuracy of mango sorting, which is an important reference for the optimal design of the sorting machine.

In the manufacturing process of bathyscaphe, the uneven magnetic field around the arc during welding of high-strength low-alloy steel is easy to induce magnetic bias, which damages the welding quality and affects the pressure resistance and service life of bathyscaphe. Therefore, the accurate identification of arc magnetic blow is the key to ensure the welding quality, and it is the premise of implementing effective control measures. However, the traditional image processing technology needs to adjust the parameters when processing images under different conditions, which limits its applicability in changeable environments. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a deep learning-based arc blow angle extraction algorithm to improve the accuracy and robustness of arc magnetic blow identification. First of all, a welding arc monitoring platform is built, and the arc image is collected by this platform, and the welding arc blowing image data set is constructed. Secondly, the semantic segmentation model of welding arc based on MobileNetv3 improved UNet network is established, and an algorithm of blow angle extraction based on semantic segmentation output is proposed. Finally, interpretable analysis is carried out to verify the validity of the model decision. The experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively identify the welding arc deflection Angle, achieving 6.24FPS and 94.7%mIoU. The proposed method lays a foundation for the on-line correction of arc magnetic blow, and has important practical significance for ensuring the manufacturing quality of bathyscaphe.
