Joint radar-communication (JRC) has emerged as a prominent topic of interest in recent years. In JRC systems, the main beam of the antenna array is typically utilized for radar purposes, while the sidelobes can be repurposed for communication tasks. In this paper, we propose a novel approach using a synthesized phased array transmitter capable of accommodating low-order modulation input and delivering high-order modulation output for JRC applications. This transmitter offers high data rates for communication users employing low-order modulation input signals, such as binary phase-shift keying (BPSK). The synthesis principles are carefully elucidated, and simulation array patterns are presented using a 16-element linear array to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed high-order modulation scheme.

This study presents the approbation of an already developed approach for simulation by virtual prototype of dust pollution in steel melt shop. It is based on real case simulation that is used to assess existing melt shop air dust pollution. Results analysis is a basis for design modifications recommendations and design variants development. The effectiveness of various design changes is assessed through simulations over built virtual prototype. Final design solution is evaluated and an improved performance is obtained in means of the decrease of dust pollution. Possible representation of other processes is discussed where different configurations of geometry are needed to be presented.

In the realm of fine-grained sentiment analysis, target-oriented sentiment analysis (TSA) is an important task. The TSA task is to categorize the sentiment of a particular target word in a multimodal post or remark. But the text in multimodal data is short and comes with complicated images that might not be relevant. Also, the current neural network models in this realm are mostly focused on combining multimodal data and don't look at how different themes affect the target's emotional tendencies. Therefore,we propose an ICLB (Image Caption Latent Dirichlet Allocation Bert) model. The model includes an image caption module to generate sentences that describe images, augment the text corpus for the language model, and extract detailed information about entities from intricate images. Using topic-modal modules to improve focused communication of emotional messages. We evaluated our method on two standard datasets, Twitter-15 and Twitter-17. The results show that the model is better at target-oriented multimodal sentiment analysis than the most recent top-of-the-line models.

A discrete element method (DEM) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) based on a linear dipole model is proposed to simulate the clustering of fine particles in the sandy layer during the seepage process, and a numerical model of discrete porous media under the action of liquid seepage is further established. Specifically, the coarse particles are used to generate a porous medium skeleton. A linear dipole contact model is applied between the free fine particles to exert clustering driving force on the fine particles within a certain distance, and a rolling resistance linear model is applied between the coarse-fine particle contacts to reflect the effect of the unregular particle's shape. Darcy's law is used to describe the fluid flow in porous media at low Reynolds number, and the fluid-particle interaction is solved based on the two-way DEM-CFD coupling scheme. The results show that the numerical model can effectively generate and capture the clustering phenomenon of fine particles in porous media. Under fluid drag, compared to individual fine particles dispersed under the non-clustering condition, the agglomerated particle clusters are more likely to be trapped at the throat of the skeleton pore and form a blockage, retaining more solid components while also damaging the fluid flow performance of porous media. In the final state of the special case of the numerical model established, particle clustering reduces the loss of solid components by 76.50% and the average fluid permeability by 57.78% on the basis of non-clustering.

The issue of vehicles wading water is a highly concerning engineering problem. The smoothed particle hydrodynamics (SPH) method has been widely used to simulate fluid-solid interaction (FSI) problems. Traditional fixed-ghost particle boundary techniques are commonly used to establish boundary conditions for SPH simulations of fluid dynamics. However, these methods encounter difficulties when dealing with complex geometric configurations. Consequently, this study introduces a single-layer particle technique to construct complex geometric shapes. Additionally, an improved boundary technique is proposed to accommodate uneven single-layer particle distribution and effectively prevent particle penetration. After verifying the benchmark case of a cylinder falling into the water, this article adopts the improved single-layer boundary technique to simulate the problem of vehicle wading. The SPH simulation results are in good agreement with the reference results, which demonstrates that the improved single-layer boundary technique proposed in this paper can accurately simulate the vehicle wading problem of complex geometric configurations.

Polyurethane (PU), as a kind of advanced polymermaterial, owns high tensile strength and high failure strain, and has been extensively used in aerospace vehicles. It is usually subjected to complex loading conditions in service. It is thus of significant importance to investigate into its complex mechanical response and underlying mechanisms under wide strain rate range for ensuring its service safety. In this study, polyurethane-matrix composites were synthesized with various soft-phase to hard-phase ratios of 1:1.5, 1:1.75, and 1:2, respectively. Tensile experiments were conducted under three strains rates loading for Mullins effect, using an electronic universal testing machine. The machine owned an attached digital-camera extensometer, which was used to measure real time displacement of two points marked on specimen during cyclic loading and unloading, and the accurate strain was obtained accordingly. Then stress-strain curves and hysteresis loop characteristics were obtained. Series of analysis was performed on its strain rate dependence and energy dissipation characteristics. Meanwhile, the strength dependence on the hard-phase fraction and strain rate was determined. The equivalent unit cell model was introduced to numerically model the microstructural evolution of PU composites, and some damage mechanisms was proposed with the aid of cohesive modelling. This work could provide an experimental basis for the application of PU in complex loading conditions.

To achieve automatic dense target localization and detection, the following issues need to be addressed: firstly, due to the complex and constantly changing environmental information (Liu Y, Complex background ground based on artificial intelligence Research on multi-objective extraction technology. Xi'an Technological University, Xi'an) collected by mobile cameras and high-altitude drones, pre-processing methods such as filtering, Laplacian enhancement (Yang L, Hai NW, Yu QF, Chin J Aeronaut 36:353-365, 2023) and threshold segmentation are required on the original images to achieve accurate target extraction. Secondly, the shape, size, and color of targets in the image change over time and under changing lighting conditions. Achieving accurate recognition of targets under these conditions is a challenging problem. The team plans to use methods such as dense target tilt correction, overlapping segmentation, and target deduplication. Our team ultimately completed the classification and feature extraction of motion intensive targets under the camera, and based on deep learning, studied the recognition and perception of target behavior in complex environments relying on visual information, ultimately achieving more reliable and universal accurate detection of multiple targets in complex environments.

The development and research of gear pairs have long been focused on meeting the needs for higher load-bearing capacity and lower weight. However, speed and low production costs are also critical parameters in industrial gear manufacturing. To ensure the quality of gear pairs alongside all of the aforementioned factors, it is necessary to perform optimization and strive to appropriate software and specific methods to meet the requirements of today's industry. In this study, an analytical calculation of gear pairs with certain constraints was performed, followed by a numerical analysis of gear pairs using different materials. The selected materials for gear pairs are steel, aluminum alloy and aluminum nanocomposite with the aim of obtaining information about the optimal material choice for gear pairs in the early stages of design. Finally, a comparison and analysis of the applied aluminum alloy and aluminum nanocomposites with steel gear pairs was performed.

In the process of oil drilling, well leakage poses a significant threat, leading to both economic losses and environmental pollution. Therefore, a novel approach for detecting well leakage is proposed, utilizing cepstrum analysis of transient pressure waves. This method aims to identify the location and amount of drilling fluid leakage by analyzing the propagation characteristics of transient pressure waves within the wellbore. By monitoring the time-dependent and amplitude variations of characteristic peaks in the pressure wave signal, valuable information regarding the leakage location and volume can be obtained. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the CEEMDAN-WT-CCF-HJS algorithm in reducing noise interference. In the presence of leakage, cepstrum analysis exhibits distinct characteristic peaks in the reflected wave, facilitating leakage location determination and estimation of the leakage volume. The experimental error is observed within the range of 2.25% to 9.10%, thereby offering theoretical support and technical guidance for real-time well leakage detection in practical applications. This research thus contributes towards safeguarding well integrity and minimizing the adverse consequences associated with well leakage.

Shear-thickening fluids, as innovative smart materials that respond promptly to external impact loads, are increasingly attracting widespread attention within both the academic and industrial sectors. An in-depth investigation of their dynamic response characteristics under transient loading conditions and the underlying mechanisms offers significant scientific importance and practical value for expanding their potential applications in various high-performance settings. This article focuses on the study of silicone rubber-based shear-thickening fluids and their composites, which have demonstrated considerable potential in industrial applications. Specifically, this research utilizes typical shear-thickening fluids made from silicone rubber and explores the behavior of these materials under varying stress conditions by incorporating various hard particulates to create composites. Through meticulously designed experiments using a modified Hopkinson pressure bar and quasi-static testing with an Electro-mechanical universal machine, this study successfully obtained stress-strain curves across a broad range of strain rates. Comparative analyses indicate that the stress levels in these materials increase with the strain rate and that the reinforcement effect is more pronounced with an increase in the content of hard particles. Additionally, this paper conducts a detailed theoretical exploration and simulation analysis using a unit cell model to investigate the mechanisms behind the strength enhancements following the incorporation of hard particulates, further elucidating the microstructural reinforcement mechanisms.
