Nowadays, scooters represent a popular transport mean. They are used not only by young people, but also by middle generation people. This transport mean allows to move in cities and towns in a comfort way. Scooters can have various design depending on the price and required application. Recently, scooters with own source of power are widespread. These scooters required to the designed properly regarding to safety, reliability and comfort during their operation. The presented work is aimed at an engineering design of a scooter, especially at a design of its main-bearing frame. The scooter is designed in a 3D modelling soft-ware environment. As the scooter frame is exposed to the loads during the operation, its structure is analyzed from the strength point of view. The analyses are performed by means of the finite element method. The 3D model of the scooter and the strength analyses have been carried out by means of commercial software. The research presented research shows the loads acting on a scooter frame structure during the operation, introduces the boundary conditions defined for calculations and reveals the results of the performed simulation calculations.

Penetration testing is a method of assessing the security of a system, application, or network by simulating the actions of an attacker. With the continuous development of the digital economy, the data protection and offensive and defensive confrontation of digital economic infrastructure are becoming increasingly fierce. How to improve the efficiency and accuracy of penetration testing through automation has become increasingly important. As an important part of artificial intelligence technology, knowledge graph provides new ideas for automated penetration testing with its efficient semantic understanding and reasoning capabilities. This paper can be divided into three parts according to the main content. First, it reviews and analyzes the current research status of automated penetration testing path planning. Secondly, it introduces the related construction methods of cyber security knowledge graph and ontology. Finally, it analyzed and compared attack path generation technology from multiple perspectives and looked forward to future research directions.

This paper introduces a probabilistic methodology designed to estimate the corrosion wear in transverse bulkhead plating, a crucial structural element found in fuel oil tanks situated within the double bottoms of aging bulk carriers. By utilizing an extensive dataset of thickness measurements obtained during special surveys conducted at 5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 years of service, the study investigates the reduction in original thickness of transverse bulkhead panels across 25 bulk carriers. A linear multi-parameter distribution model is developed to depict corrosion wastage, with correlations established between the vessel's age and a presumed 14-year lifespan for the coating. The analysis encompasses 71 fuel oil tank hull structures and includes 1192 measurements of steel thickness reduction, expressed in millimeters. The formulation of the linear probabilistic model involved the consideration of multi-parameter distributions for two distinct watertight areas. The study treats the cumulative density function of the annual corrosion wastage within this linear model as a continuous random variable. The statistical, numerical, and graphical findings indicate that both the Inverse Gaussian and Johanson SB distributions are suitable for the probabilistic estimation of corrosion rates in the watertight bulkhead thickness plating of fuel oil tanks in bulk carriers.

Rock structures and buildings are occasionally subjected to dynamic loading such as impact from explosion and earthquake. Their dynamic behavior is thus of important to know before safe design. In this work, both widely-used sandstones were selected to investigate the coupling response of water content, grain size and loading strain rate by the universal mechanical machine and split Hopkinson pression bar technique. It was found from the results that: In dry sandstones, the compressive strength of fine and coarse sandstones showed the overall increasing trends with the increase of quasi-static and dynamic strain rates. However, in the water-saturated state, the strength of coarse sandstone is positively correlated with strain rate, but the variation is complex for fine sandstone. On the water-content dependence on strength, it was found that they decrease with increasing water-content. This trend is also found on the grain influence, that is, the strength decreases with grain size increasing. The potential competitive mechanism was found between the weakening and strengthening effects of internal water in sandstone under different loading conditions.

This document discusses a study focused on developing a machine learning model to detect extraneous vibrations during the 3D printing process. It highlights the impact of these vibrations on print quality and introduces a system using an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to measure vibrations. Various machine learning models were evaluated for their ability to distinguish between normal printing vibrations and extraneous vibrations, with the Light Gradient Boosting machine model showing the best performance. The work presented aims to investigate the filling process of a protective mask for design validation and ergonomics by creating a silicone replication in a 3D printed mold tool for small series of production. The object of analysis is a protective mask with UV-C protection technology, which should ensure the sterilization of bacteria and viruses in inhaled and exhaled air using UV-C light. Applying additive manufacturing FDM technology to create a complex three-part mold tool improves the process of design and ergonomic parts which can be referred to cost effective method for small series. By creating a silicone replica of the mask, an assessment of accuracy and precision is made to validate design and ergonomics before proceeding to final tooling design.

In their paper, the authors present a novel and unconventional crank mechanism. The crank mechanism holds a crucial role within internal combustion (IC) engines, serving as a pivotal component with significant responsibilities. An analysis was conducted by the authors to examine the forces that impact the various elements of the innovative crank mechanism. The examination was carried out by conducting the dynamic simulations on 3D CAD models within SolidWorks software. The primary objective of this analysis was to furnish a comprehensive comparison between the load and kinematics of the unconventional crank mechanism. The aim of this comparative study is to provide a clear insight into the applicability and feasibility of this innovative crank mechanism concept.

3D manufacturing materials and methods are evolving with time, and new necessities and new fields are opening for research and development. Thermoplastic elastomers, e.g. thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) are among the applications for vibration absorbers, lightweight uses, fittings, etc. These types of materials present a nonlinear relationship between stress and strain. In this research work the hyperelastic model is found from the uniaxial test data following the standard ISO 37:2017. The finite element model was then established and validated by performing simulations using ANSYS, in which the gauge length was modeled considering the laboratory boundary conditions. The numerical and experimental stress-strain curves showed a good agreement. Besides the validated model a complex geometry using TPU was printed and then laboratory tests and finite element investigations were performed to explore the goodness of the used hyperelastic material model.

The exploration and development of oil and gas are gradually expanding from shallow to deep/ultra deep reservoirs. Deep and ultra deep layers have become more and more important for increasing oil and gas storage and production. Limited by the drilling depth and experience at 20th century, the curing stress of traditional cements strength testing was only 20.7MPa. The pressure is extremely high in deep and ultra deep wells, so the compressive strength and strength development time of cements in downhole may be different from that obtained from laboratory. The inaccurate design of the compressive strength and strength development time of cements may lead to poor bonding quality or sustained casing pressure. In this paper, the strength development time, compressive strength, scanning electron microscopy, porosity, permeability, X-ray diffraction patterns, and microstructures under different curing stress were obtained. The increasing of curing stress can effectively improve the strength of cements.

The aim of this study was to determine the influence of construction factors and the type of wood on the strength of wood adhesive joints. Two types of wood were used in the research: pine and oak with specific moisture content. The adhesive joints were made in three configurations: pine-pine, pine-oak and oak-oak. The wet samples showed a humidity level of 16-18%, and the dry samples showed a humidity level of 6-8%. Two types of the adhesives were used to make the adhesive joints: polyurethane adhesive (waterproof class D4) and adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate (waterproof class D3). The adhesive joints were made in 4 configurations: lap, wedge, oblique and butt. The adhesive joints were subjected to strength tests in accordance with the DIN EN 311 standard. Based on the test results, it can be seen that the oak adhesive joints (oak-oak configuration) were distinguished from other joints by their increased tensile strength. Moreover, in many cases, the strength of the adhesive joints made with the polyurethane adhesive is slightly higher than the strength of the adhesive joints made with the polyvinyl acetate (PVAC) adhesive. It was also noticed that the adhesive joints of wooden elements with a higher degree of humidity have better strength properties than those with a lower degree of humidity.
