As oil and gas exploration and development gradually shift towards the "double depth and double high" domain characterized by deep water, deep depth, high temperature, and high pressure, downhole electronic equipment faces the threat of high-temperature failure. Based on wellbore heat transfer model and non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm, the study investigates the extent to which drilling parameters affect downhole temperature and establishes a multi-objective parameter optimization model for downhole cooling. And the following research results are obtained. Firstly, adjustable drilling parameters for downhole temperature regulation include inlet temperature, pump rate, and rotation velocity. Secondly, the sensitivity analysis of downhole temperature parameters shows that cooling capacity is in a reverse relation with formation fracture pressure, which is the direct reason for the adoption of multi-objective optimization. Thirdly, through multi-objective optimization and decision integration, the optimal combination of operational parameters for downhole cooling was determined: inlet temperature of 16.87 degrees C, pump rate of 14.84 L/s, and rotation velocity of 49.35 rpm, resulting in an optimized bottomhole temperature of 133.18 degrees C. In conclusion, the concept of multi-objective optimization is feasible and applicable to downhole cooling. It provides a reference for the efficient development and utilization of deepwater drilling, aids in the design and construction optimization of high-temperature, high-pressure wells, and helps prevent downhole tool failures.

In order to meet the requirements of cross-domain flight and wide airspeed range, the next generation advanced aero engines generally select adjustable thermodynamic cycle schemes combining with high cycle parameter, which significantly rise the temperature rate suffered by hot section components. Considering that previous attempts of thermo-mechanical fatigue (TMF) tests have been extremely limited by the low temperature rates (normally below 10 degrees C/s), it is hard to estimate the life effects of high transient thermal-mechanical cycle. In this study, a load-controlled servo-electric high transient TMF testing rig has been set up to investigate the influence of thermal-mechanical loading rate. On the GH4169 specimen, with optimized induction coil and compressed air cooling configuration, a 100 degrees C/s level triangular wave heating and cooling rate was achieved in the range of 300-650 degrees C. In-phase (IP) TMF tests were conducted at 10, 50 and 100 degrees C/s with fully reversed mechanical loading (R = -1) of 700, 800 and 900 MPa, respectively. According to the tests, increases in loading rate improve the TMF life, especially when the mechanical load is low, such as 700 MPa. Fractography under different loading conditions reveals extensive transgranular fracture characteristics. Additionally, at low loading rates, rough fracture surfaces and few dimple-like features were easily observed. In comparison, fracture surfaces with high loading rates tend to be flatter and exhibit obvious fatigue striations.

Hydraulic fracturing can greatly improve the production capacity of well, which is one of the key technologies for efficient development of tight oil and gas resources. If the fracturing fluid can not flow back in time after fracturing operation, fracturing fluid entering deep reservoir will cause reservoir damage. The previous research mainly focuses on improving the fracturing technology to improve stimulation effect, and the research on backflow of fracturing fluid is less. Flow back of fracturing fluid is currently focus on qualitative analysis, there are few quantitative calculations. To address this problem, this paper takes the tight gas fractured horizontal well in Sichuan Basin of China as the research object, flowback time of gas wells is affected by geological parameters, production testing parameters of flowback period and fracturing parameters. Analysis of simple correlation is hard to quantify the relationship between flowback time and affected parameters. Pearson Correlation Coefficient and grey correlation analysis are used to statistically analyze 15 geological and engineering parameters, such as pressure coefficient and total liquid volume. Total liquid volume, permeability, water saturation, horizontal section length and pressure coefficient, are the key factors affecting the flowback time of gas wells. The research results of this work can provide some guidance for fracturing fluid backflow parameter optimization.

Submarine landslide, a prevalent marine geohazard, poses a significant threat to offshore engineering facilities and often precipitates secondary disasters, including tsunamis. This study presents a three-dimensional numerical model for submarine landslides, leveraging the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method and GPU parallel technology. First, the proposed SPH model undergoes validation using the experimental data on underwater landslides. The simulation results of the water surface and soil profiles, captured at crucial moments, align with experimental observations, indicating the applicability of the proposed model. Furthermore, our investigation delves into the influence of topographic conditions on the submarine sliding process. Notably, the results show that compared with the obstacles on the surface, the trough on the surface has a greater effect on the soil flow.

Ship trajectory prediction plays a crucial role in maritime safety and navigation, especially in complex environments where multiple ships interact simultaneously. In maritime applications, exact single trajectory prediction may not be paramount;rather, balancing accuracy and diversity of trajectories is essential to ensure collision avoidance based on predicted paths during ship interactions. However, due to the stochastic nature of ships' future intentions, resulting in diverse motion patterns and multiple possible paths, predicting trajectories in these regions poses significant challenges. This paper proposes a novel method, Environmental Perception based on Denoising Diffusion Models(EP-DDM), for ship trajectory prediction in multi-ship interaction scenarios, utilizing denoising diffusion models to enhance environmental perception. EP-DDM is based on an encoder-decoder architecture but differs from conventional methods by avoiding the use of latent variables to represent multimodality. The encoder leverages a transformer to extract historical and interactional information, while the decoder, also based on a transformer, adequately captures temporal dependencies. By integrating denoising techniques into the prediction model, this method aims to improve trajectory prediction accuracy while considering trajectory diversity, particularly in scenes involving complex ship interactions. Experimental results on extensive natural ship trajectory data demonstrate that the proposed model achieves excellent prediction performance and robustness compared to baseline methods, highlighting the potential of our approach to enhance maritime trajectory prediction capabilities in dynamic and congested ocean environments.

Drilling fluid plays an important role in drilling engineering, with its performance being closely related to both the rate of penetration(ROP)-increasement and the prevention of lost circulation, predicting the effect of ROP-increasement and lost circulation by drilling fluid based on machine learning algorithm can guide the formulation design and performance optimization of drilling fluid. Extracting the drilling fluid performance data from the well history data of 8 wells in an oilfield, and the prediction model of ROP-increasement effect by drilling fluid based on XGBoost classifier was established. The hyperparameters of the model were optimized by using the grid search algorithm, in order to find the optimal combination of parameters which could improve the accuracy of the model and reduce the degree of over-fitting. The results show that the model performs best when the partition ratio of training set and verification set is 8:2, then used the grid search algorithm for hyperparameters optimization, and toke the well names as the input variable. In this case, the accuracy of training set is 0.87, the accuracy of verification set is 0.86, and the accuracy difference between training set and verification set is 0.01. Compared with the traditional empirical method, the proposed GS-XGBoost model can predict whether the current drilling fluid can achieve the best effect of ROP-increasement quickly and accurately, providing a reference for the optimal design of drilling fluid formulation and the prevention of lost circulation.

Modular steel building now becomes an important trend of construction industry as its advantages of reduced overall construction schedule, improved quality, and reduced resource wastage. Modular building is formed by the combination of several independent modules, which results in multiple columns and beams at the joints, making the joints complex and the performance and failure form of the joints uncertain. Reliable connection is an important part to ensure the safety of modular structure, and the stiffness of joints directly determines the integrity and lateral stiffness of the structure. In this study, a new type of joint connecting through plugs and bolts is designed for modular steel structure. The model is established and the finite element simulation is carried out by the software ABAQUS. The static loading of the joint is carried out, and the failure mode of the joint is judged by analyzing the stress development process of beam and column and the stress development process of bolt. Then the hysteretic curve, skeleton curve, ductility factor and energy dissipation capacity of the joints are obtained by hysteretic loading to evaluate the seismic performance of the joints. The simulation results show that the failure form of the joint is forming plastic hinges at the end of beam and column and then failure, which meets the seismic requirements of weak members with strong joints. The hysteretic loop is full, and the ductility is good. Thus the joint designed in this paper has good seismic performance.

Cardan shafts are widely used in various fields from agriculture, vehicles to industrial machinery. Due to the complexity of the agricultural process, agricultural PTO shafts are the most susceptible to damage. PTO shaft elements are subjected to combined bending, twisting, shearing and surface pressure stresses. The limiting factors for the use of agricultural PTO shafts are the frequent changes in the angles at which the shafts are used, strong shock loads, the complexity of the bearing assembly mechanism, etc. During exploitation, due to overloading, various types of material destruction and breakage of cardan shaft parts may occur. In this research, the goal was to look at the reliability of cardan shafts, which in practice is very low, from the point of view of damage to the elements of bearing assemblies on cardan shafts.

The transition of education and training to adapt to the changing economic, technological, social, and environmental landscape of the contemporary 21st century is imperative. Qualified human capital and potentials, along with enhanced education and maritime training, necessitate a reevaluation and enhancement of skills to align with the dynamic demands of the current environment and labor market. This is crucial for the transformation of human resources in the era of digital transition in industry 4.0. Dam breaches can result in catastrophic flooding, leading to severe economic and property losses downstream. Accurately simulating the dam breaches requires modeling both erosion and slope instability. However, traditional mesh-based methods cannot directly capture the large deformations of destabilized slope soil. A numerical model based on the meshless method Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) is used to simulate dam breaches. It employs an erosion rate-based erosion model to simulate the gradual erosion process and utilizes the Drucker-Prager elastic-plastic model to capture the large deformation of the side slope soil. This model is validated through three benchmark cases: column collapse, bottom flushing by a dam-break flow, and dam breach. Meanwhile, the dam breach processes are analyzed. Results show that the dam breach unfolds in two stages: headward erosion and overall erosion. The onset of overall erosion coincides with the occurrence of slope instability. The influences of the internal friction angle. and cohesion c on the dam breaches are investigated. With increasing. and c, there is less instability and deformation occurring on the side slopes, thus delaying the lateral expansion of the breach. Compared to traditional mesh-based methods, the SPH framework enables direct simulation of large deformations of the side slope. This advantage contributes to further research on dam breach phenomena, such as simulating the interaction between the structure and the soil during the breaching.
