3D measurement of cylindrical metallic object is based on active laser triangulation techniques. The measurement performances notably depend on the accuracy of the laser stripe extraction. It consists in determining the coordinates of pixels that correspond to the centre of the line representing the laser for each column of the image. In this paper, we focus on laser stripe images that are corrupted by speckle noise due to the rough surface of metallic objects. Our main contribution consists in developing a column-wise processing method that can be implemented on a CPU for real-time industrial application. Finally, thanks to experiments, we compare the laser stripe accuracy provided by the proposed methods that are applied to images corrupted by speckle noise.

In this paper we consider the additive multi-attribute utility model in a group decision-making context, accounting for vagueness in the alternative performances by means of fuzzy numbers and imprecision concerning DM preferences by means of ordinal information. Monte Carlo simulation techniques are used to compute a fuzzy dominance matrix, and a fuzzy dominance measuring method is then used to derive an individual ranking of alternatives for each DM. Finally, the rankings from the different DMs are aggregated taking into account their relative importance to reach a consensus ranking.

Based on 4Cs and filtered by industry experts, 16 consumer decision indicators of casual women's wear online retail channel were obtained. The indicator influence on 244 consumers was collected by questionnaires and indicators were classified to five factors (Experience, Safety, Consumption, Display, Aftermarket) by the exploratory factor analysis (EFA), which revised by the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The research hypotheses were developed by using structural equation modeling (SEM), and proved that the performance of Display and Safety would have positive effect on the consumer judgments on Experience and Consumption while Experience also has positive effect on Aftermarket.

Nowadays technology management as the discipline for almost all firms are related in this issue to seek new talent and skill for the firm competency. Main objective of technology management is to enhance competencies for creating or improving products, processes or services in the sector. This study offers an evaluation framework to examine dimensions of technology competency based on the management and technology capabilities for the manufacturing enterprises;process management, product competitiveness, information and communication technologies (ICT), marketing strategies, innovation and entrepreneurship and research & development (R&D). In this study, multi-criteria decision making methods are used to measure performances of manufacturing enterprises from machine sub-sector in Istanbul, Turkey. Fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) approach is applied to determine the weights of the criteria. The criteria weights and responses of survey analysis (data) related with enterprises are used for VIKOR and TOPSIS methods to evaluate and rank the firms.

This paper describes an approach for the problem of buttock shape discrimination using support vector machines (SVM). Characteristics of female buttock shapes were analyzed through elliptic Fourier analysis and 13 feature vectors were calculated to represent buttock shapes. Then three kinds of 317 Chinese female buttock shapes were selected as samples. The training set included 70% of the samples, while the rest 30% of samples were in prediction set. With the method of K-fold cross validation, the best values of parameters used in SVM were calculated. Finally, it achieved a high accuracy of more than 96% in the discriminating test. The results can be used as an effective way to help clothing companies to subdivide goal customer groups based on the features of their buttock shapes.

Risk assessment in information system is to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, assessment methods conduct a comprehensive safety analysis and evaluation, from the view of security properties referring to confidentiality, integrity and availability. Existing models and methods of risk assessment are partially subjective and complex, due to lack of uniform evaluation criteria. Therefore a risk assessment method is proposed in this paper, in which based on objective data and expert experience, risk can be assessed by combining with analytic hierarchy process, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and entropy coefficient. In this paper, a performance measure framework is presented for the quality evaluation of government websites. A review of recent developments in website evaluation is provided to facilitate the assessment and comparison of government websites with the help of multi criteria decision making (MCDM) techniques. Government website quality evaluation is typically a hard MCDM problem. On the other hand, MCDM in intuitionistic fuzzy (IF) environment is an effective and commonly applied tool for evaluating problems and comparing results in the presence of a number of usually conflicting decision criteria, for which decision makers have vague and imprecise opinions. In line with several characteristics of website quality, this paper approaches the problem of comparing different websites with an integrated IF AHP and IF TOPSIS MCDM method, and then comes up with a practical and selective approach to solve it. To avoid bias, a group decision making (GDM) approach is applied, which is able to address the difficulty of uncertainty and partiality in the decision making process. A case study of the proposed approach is presented to compare different government websites in Turkey.
