Modeling human aesthetic perception of visual textures is important and valuable in numerous industrial domains, such as product design, architectural design and decoration. In this paper, we modeled the relationship between low-level basic texture features and aesthetic properties involved in human aesthetic texture perception. First, basic texture features were computed from textural images using classical methods. Secondly, we then conducted a semantic differential rating experiment to collect from evaluators their aesthetic perceptions of selected textural stimuli. Finally, we describe the generation of multiple linear and nonlinear regression models for aesthetic prediction by taking dimensionality-reduced texture features and aesthetic properties of visual textures as dependent and independent variables respectively.

A rule base is designed with interval certitude degrees embedded in the antecedent terms and consequent terms, which is shown to be capable of capturing uncertainties of human knowledge and human judgment. Most patients suffer crises that can be avoided through early prediction. Common characteristics, identified as patterns of behavior, add valuable information to the study. This paper shows a specification of a prediction system based on data from diverse sources. In this paper we put forward a stochastic interaction model by changing the intensity of interaction between individuals within the real-world systems. In this model, an individual i who can change unilaterally the intensity of interaction between it and its some neighbor j according to the following cases. If i obtains the profit which comes from j by interaction more than the loss which is the cost of interaction, individual i will increase unilaterally the intensity of interaction between them. On the contrary, if the benefit less than the loss, i will decrease unilaterally the intensity of interaction. However, if i break even, who continues to maintain the interactive relationship. Interestingly, it is found that the cooperation is promoted and even the fraction of cooperators reaches the 100%, which can be attributed to the entangled evolution of individual strategy and intensity of interaction. Our findings, to some extent, reflect the underlying mechanism promoting social cooperation, and further enrich the knowledge of evolutionary dynamics in sophisticated yet realistic situations.

With the increasing need of fashion mass customization, the flexible manufacturing system has been becoming the dominant form of garment manufacturing. Due to the complex configuration and inefficiency problem of flexible garment production configuration, the assessment of carbon emission become the extremely hard work of carbon process management. In this paper, the study will focus on the carbon footprint in manufacturing equipment configuration by taking account into the multi-constraint relations of space and time which reflect the physical location and the loading status of the equipment in one production zone. A new calculation model will be proposed according to the formalized multi-constraint relations in order to further promote the accuracy of carbon emission assessment. The proposed model can be developed as an effective calculation tool, which will help to assess the carbon process for garment FMS in future work about the sustainable garment manufacturing.

As the textile materials and processes have inherent variability, estimation of their properties by mathematical models often yields a very high prediction error. Artificial Neural Network (ANN) systems present the potential solutions for the modeling and optimization of predicting. This paper presents a new multilayer perceptron (MLP) pruning algorithm for predicting denim fabric hand from stonewash treatment parameters. To optimize the MLP structure two techniques are used: (i) variance sensitivity analysis to prune hidden neurons (pruning does not concern inputs that corresponds to stonewash parameters) and (ii) k-fold Cross-Validation. The stop criteria are based on a performance evaluation of the network results from both learning and validation datasets. The obtained results show that neural network models could predict the desired fabric hand with reasonable accuracy.
