Parafoil systems are a kind of flexible wing vehicle flying at low altitude, which are more susceptible to winds. Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) technology is applied to simulate parafoils flying with winds. And then, the equivalent force and action point of the wind are obtained through CFD simulation analysis. Further, a six degree of freedom (DOF) dynamic model of the parafoil system in the wind environment is established. The study shows that the established model can better describe the flight characteristics of the parafoil system in windy conditions.

Modeling human aesthetic perception of visual textures is important and valuable in numerous industrial domains, such as product design, architectural design and decoration. In this paper, we modeled the relationship between low-level basic texture features and aesthetic properties involved in human aesthetic texture perception. First, basic texture features were computed from textural images using classical methods. Secondly, we then conducted a semantic differential rating experiment to collect from evaluators their aesthetic perceptions of selected textural stimuli. Finally, we describe the generation of multiple linear and nonlinear regression models for aesthetic prediction by taking dimensionality-reduced texture features and aesthetic properties of visual textures as dependent and independent variables respectively.

Then, a Gaussian mixture model for cluster ensemble is designed and the inference of the proposed model is also illustrated. Finally, some real datasets are selected for comparing experiments. The emergence of big data greatly promotes the development of data-driven machine learning technologies. The common assumption in machine learning that the training data and the test data have identical feature spaces with underlying distributions impedes the development of machine learning. To deal with this issue, transfer learning is studied to exploit the knowledge accumulated from data in auxiliary domains to facilitate predictive modelling consisting of different data patterns in the current domain. There have been a significant number of methods proposed to address the classification, as the task, through transfer learning, but the studies targeted at regression problems are still scarce. In this paper, we propose a new transfer learning method to deal with the regression task in the target domain where few data are available. Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model is used to construct the model for regression task in the source domain, and the prototypes and linear functions of the existing model are modified to make the model more compatible for the target domain. The experimental results demonstrate that our method can improve the performance of the existing model of the source domain on addressing current task in the target domain.

This paper proposes an adaptive medium image noise removal algorithm based on measure of medium truth degree (MMTD). Firstly, it adaptively adjusts the detection window size according to the density of noise. Then with respect to the feature of noise, it establishes the relation between gray level and truth interval of predicate. After that, the distance ratio function is applied to measure and remove the noise pixels. By sample simulation and classic PSNR and SSIM evaluations, it shows the adaptive medium image noise removal algorithm (AdpMMTD) brings about a good performance in removing noise and preserving fine details, which will lead to its practicable and effective applications.

The necessity of making a robust system to the uncertainties of the different measures taken from the computing infrastructure is one of Grid Computing research challenges. Particularly, the appropriation of relevant information to tasks scheduling from a set of heterogeneous sources and dynamic behavior has been the focus of a significant studies number. Considering this background, this article aims to propose a task scheduling module in Grid Computing with uncertainty regime decision. The proposed module, named fGrid, uses Fuzzy Logic to treat uncertainties. Simulations to evaluate the fGrid were executed with SimGrid simulator use. In addition to promising results, the use of a standard scale with linguistic variables facilitates the manipulation of both the priority list and the scaling, which contributes to ease maintenance.

This new approach provides a stronger tool to deal with uncertainty in the system by enabling the experts to be more flexible during their judgments. Instead of indicating exact values for the membership degrees of causal relationships, they provide possible interval values. The root causes of human errors in shipping accidents are analyzed by using IVH-FCM to examine the contribution of the approach to the real life problems.
