In this paper, we apply the ARMA/ARCH methodology to develop forecasting models and compare their forecast accuracy with a class of novel hybrid fuzzy logic RBF neural network models. The used novel approach deals with nonlinear estimate of various RBF NN-based ARMA/GARCH methodologies. Our results show that the proposed approach achieves better forecast accuracy on the validation dataset than most available techniques.

Based on linguistic truth-valued intuitionistic fuzzy algebra (LTV-IFA), the hesitancy degree is discussed. And the concepts and properties of the linguistic-valued truth credibility degree (LVTCD) and its inverse operator are studied. The model and algorithm of the assessment approach with linguistic truth-valued intuitionistic fuzzy reasoning are given. The modern Conflict-Driven Clause Learning (CDCL) SAT solver usually choose a single decision variable in each step, which requires multiple decisions, and sometimes causes too many conflicts and poor efficiency. In this paper, we propose a heuristic complete algorithm by using logic deduction. First, a decision variable is given by the Variable State Independent Decaying Sum (VSIDS) algorithm, then start logic deduction procedure in the unresolved clauses from this variable, and a group of decision variables was generated, which is called the bootstrap set and is used to guide algorithm for first searching the subspace that feasible solution lie in. Experimental results shows that the strategy based logical deduction can significantly improve the performance of CDCL solver compared with other branching heuristics.

The necessity of making a robust system to the uncertainties of the different measures taken from the computing infrastructure is one of Grid Computing research challenges. Particularly, the appropriation of relevant information to tasks scheduling from a set of heterogeneous sources and dynamic behavior has been the focus of a significant studies number. Considering this background, this article aims to propose a task scheduling module in Grid Computing with uncertainty regime decision. The proposed module, named fGrid, uses Fuzzy Logic to treat uncertainties. Simulations to evaluate the fGrid were executed with SimGrid simulator use. In addition to promising results, the use of a standard scale with linguistic variables facilitates the manipulation of both the priority list and the scaling, which contributes to ease maintenance.

In this study, the smart EMG sleeve is developed. Through integrating the wearable EMG device, the smart EMG sleeve become more comfortable, therefore the user will not feel the existence of electrodes. The proposed EMG sleeve can measure the EMG and movement of arm and the new kind of fabric electrode is also developed to reduce the drawback of traditional electrodes. The fabric electrodes can provide very comfortable feeling for user. In order to transfer the raw EMG to useful information, the Kalman filter is also introduced, then the relationship of filtered EMG and biceps torque are calculated. The proposed smart EMG sleeve not only measure the EMG signal, but also estimate the torque and can be used in homecare and exercise.

This paper aims at establishing a novel bionic intelligent method to provide a theoretical basis for studying certain issues like pigeon navigation. We analyze pigeon's homing strategy and navigation process from the computational viewpoint, and present general pigeon navigation algorithm (PNA) that is the algorithm integration consisting of learning and homing, and design the algorithm from released sites to the environments (ARE) that is the key of this integration. The regulating function in ARE can be set by developers in practical applications, so that PNA possesses openness. Moreover, an example of the regulating function is given, and computing results show the efficacy of ARE.

This paper proposes a dynamic fuzzy clustering method to identify lower body shapes of a specific population for developing personalized pants design. Based on the 8 key dimensions and 11 body shape indices of lower body parts, identified by a group of designers, we randomly measure 125 human bodies of the target population by means of a 3D body scanning system and compute important body shape indices and then test the representativeness of the sample data using statistical analysis. Finally, the target population is clustered according to the 11 shape indices by a fuzzy clustering method. With the variation of sample data or target population, body shapes can be clustered dynamically, and a special human body can be assigned to an appropriate class according the clustering result. The obtained results will effectively help to develop the personalized garment styles.
