This paper proposes an improved genetic algorithm (IGA) by giving novel crossover probability and mutation probability. A fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is designed for the double inverted pendulum, and the parameters of the membership function (MF) of the language variables are optimized in FLC. The simulation results show that IGA is better than the classical GA.

Dynamic drape is the unique property that allows the fabric to be bent in multiple directions. Silk fabric has good hand feeling and draping property. In this paper, we select 15 kinds of silk fabrics to measure its structural, mechanical and draping parameters for studying the impact factors of dynamic draping property about silk fabric. We make a correlation analysis with the measured fabric parameters then obtain the factors sequence that affects silk fabric's dynamic draping property. Experimental result shows that the draping property of silk fabric is affected by many performance parameters. In particular, the latitudinal tensile property has the greatest influence among all these parameters.

The proposed algorithm appears to be attractive both for its theoretical benefits and guaranteed properties. The design and implementation of agile supply chains (ASCs) is attracting more interest, recently. ASCs require suppliers to strengthen their flexible and agile attributes to remain competitive and to react quickly to market changes and customer preferences. Therefore, each organization in the chain will get the maximum benefit from ASC if they are able to identify satisfactorily agile suppliers. This paper presents a parallel genetic algorithm framework which based on coarse-grained model for solving SAT problems. The main motivation of this study is to propose a new fuzzy risk score for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) management based on Chang's extent analysis for the pairwise comparisons in fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). In Bas [1], a Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology is employed by using Houses of Quality (HoQs) to determine the relationships between tasks and hazards, and hazards and injury events. Thereafter, the injury events are prioritized by using a risk score. The risk score proposed in Bas [1] for OSH risk assessment is proposed to be fuzzified in this paper instead of using statistical analysis results for the definition of the parameters.

Continuing earlier work, this paper conceptualizes an adaptive methodology to parametrically design garments on virtual mannequins for a target population. The target population is composed of 485 women scanned in 2006 by IFTH, the French research institute and it has been classified into three clusters which give us three parametric mannequins. In this paper, each of these mannequins is associated with a process of parametric garment design and its grading based on differences in stature, volume, and ease allowance. We show how neck and armhole lines are pivotal for draping the garment on a mannequin. We find clear benefits in terms of facilitation and improvement in our method of 3D parametrization providing design rules for specifying neck line and armhole line design. We expect this method of 3D parametric garment design to facilitate and improve not only the specific lines under analysis but also the design process as a whole, and hence to assure the good consumer fit.
