Wireless sensor networks are composed of a large number of autonomous sensor nodes which have limit processing capability and low power resources. Thus, energy is one of most important constraints in these networks. Data aggregation is a common technique for energy efficient routing with in-network processing. In aggregation mechanisms, the nodes aggregate received data and send aggregated result instead of raw data to sink, so, the volume of the transmitted data is decreased. In this paper, we propose a new cluster-tree based routing algorithm to construct data aggregation schema by using multi-sensor data and distance parameters. The sources with large data correlation should collect to one cluster, and R-Tree method is used to construct minimum bounding tree on rectangles of cluster. This routing protocol can preserve the advantages of the cluster-based and tree-based protocols and be feasible to sensor network developed densely. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance in terms of energy efficiency which increase the network lifetime and minimize the sending data which are forwarded to sink node.

This paper developed a indicator system, model and grades of loss assessment of grassland fire disaster based on the theory of disaster's occurrence, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), and Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation (FCE). Take northern China as an example, the results showed that Inner Mongolia Municipality, Sinkiang Municipality (including Sinkiang Corps), Heilongjiang Province and Gansu Province belong to the area of super grassland fire disaster, needs to be managed by the nation;Jilin Province belongs to the area of serious grassland tire disaster, needs to be managed by the nation;Shanxi Province and Shaanxi Province belong to the area of common grassland fire disaster, needs to be mainly managed by the province and assisted by the nation;and Hebei Province, Qinghai Province, Sichuan Province, Ningxia Municipality and Liaoning Province belong to the area of grassland rife alarm, needs to be mainly managed by the city (county) and assisted by the province. This study can be expected to provide objective basis for assessing loss of grassland fire disaster and indemnifying for the loss and theoretical basis for taking comprehensive and active measurements and planning to fight grassland fire in China.

In a Role-Playing Game (RPG), finding the optimum trajectory of an agent is usually one of the most important objectives. In fact, it becomes a vital point of the game, due to how the path is established (reality or fiction) and the consumed resources (execution time). When classical search algorithms such as A* can be used, they are very useful for computing optimal solutions. Nevertheless, grid-based methods can be computationally expensive, especially for very large environments. Besides, A* based algorithms usually produce aesthetically unpleasant paths and the execution time is higher than evaluating results of the previous learning of the Q-learning algorithm. In this article we evaluate and compare the performance of these classic algorithms, A* and Q-Learning (Reinforcement Learning), on static searching. Simulation results of different simulation scenarios prove that reinforcement learning provides the most optimal path regarding computational cost compared with the A * algorithm depending on the configuration.

Granular computing (GrC) is a computing paradigm of information processing. It discerns the hidden knowledge and interesting regularities in data. How to select the proper level of granularity is crucial to the applications of GrC. In this paper, we propose an efficient approach for selection of the proper level of granularity in GrC. We apply it in the step of discretization of massive data set and obtain a Fast Massive Data Set based Discretization Algorithm (FMDSD). Experimental analyses show that the FMDSD algorithm improves the speed of classification while holding the predictive accuracy. The success of the FMDSD verifies that the approach for selection of the proper level of granularity is feasible and efficient.
