摘      要：本书对桑干河流域这一农牧交错地带两千年间反复层累、叠加的城市地理进行研究，通过对比秦汉、北魏、唐辽、明代、清代五个不同历史阶段的城市分布规律，复原区域内人地关系演变的历程，进而揭示城市格局变迁背后所折射的宏大历史背景。作者认为由于居统治地位的民族、经济、文化、军事审制度等差异，导致了同一个区域内部。不同历史时期城市体系呈现迥然不同的面貌。城址分布和城市空间格局，是由地理环境和历史背景共同塑造，在各种因素中，建造、使用城市并居住其中的人，至为关键。 This book studies the urban geography of the Sangan River Basin, a zone of agriculture and pastoral intersection, which has been repeatedly layered and superimposed over the past two thousand years, and reconstructs the evolution of human-land relations in the region by comparing the urban distribution laws of the five different historical stages of the Qin, Han, Northern Wei, Tang, Liao, Ming and Qing dynasties, and then reveals the grand historical background reflected behind the changes in the urban pattern. The author argues that differences in ethnic, economic, cultural, and military systems that dominate the country have led to the same region. The urban system has taken on very different faces in different historical periods.
