摘 要:The most often utilized heat exchangers are tubular heat exchangers. Kern Method is one of the ways for thermally designing a shell and tube heat exchanger. A small scale 1, 2-shell and tube heat exchanger is fabricated after designing, in this paper. The experimental value of the overall coefficient of heat transfer is validated with the experimental value computed using the Kern Method, as well as to values found in the literature. The effects of tube outer diameter and tube thickness on the various parameters of a 1–2 tubular heat exchanger were investigated. The fluctuation of coefficients of heat transfer on the tube and shell sides, Reynolds numbers, drop in pressure, and overall heat transfer heat transfer coefficients are found. © 2022
