摘 要:Abstract: We describe a numerical model approximating the system of equations for a viscous fluidwith a polymer molecule additive. This is a hybrid model based on the use of Godunov’slinearized and finite-difference schemes. According to this scheme, a problem of the Kolmogorovtype for a viscous flow in a bounded domain (square cell) under the action of an external periodicforce is analyzed. The flows with and without additives are compared, and the behavior ofpolymer molecules in various flow regions is studied. A certain transient regime characterized byalmost complete stretching of the molecules in high velocity gradient areas is obtained. © 2023, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
