In-Situ Synthesis of Ag Nanoparticles on Batio3 for Synergistic Piezo-Photocatalytic Properties

摘      要:In this work, Ag/BaTiO3 composite with different molar ratios was synthesized in-situ via a simple method for adjusting the pH value of solution. The Ag+ ions on the surface of BaTiO3 particles in alkaline solution transformed into Ag elemental that retain in original position. The as-prepared composites were analyzed by XRD, FT-IR, FESEM with EDS mapping, HRTEM and UV-Vis spectra, etc. The optimal Ag loaded BaTiO3 showed excellent synergistic effect of piezo-photocatalysis. When the content of Ag increasing to 0.33%, the prepared Ag/BaTiO3 composite (0.33Ag/BaTiO3) exhibited high degradation performance of degrading 95.4% RhB in 50min under combined with driving of ultrasonic vibration and light illumination. Meanwhile, the degradation ratio remain at 81.9% after 5 runs, which perform as a relatively stable piezocatalyst. The superior catalytic performance could be attribute to the synergistic of Ag/BaTiO3 composites, which carrier migration is promoted while recombination is inhibited due to a built-in piezoelectric field established. In addition, this work provides a reference for obtaining composite catalysts with efficient degradation, and could be extended to other catalytic material. © 2023, The Authors. All rights reserved.
