摘 要:The main point of this qualitative research is the development of students’ critical reflexive skills in Greek tertiary education, through the study of the effectiveness of different models of organizing practicums, the supervisory relationships that teachers develop in their collaboration, as well as the role of both local and broader socio-cultural context in shaping critically-thinking education professionals. The field of research, which data are extracted from, is primarily the area of initial education of teachers and especially of trainee students of the Pedagogical Departments, but also that of teachers in service at the host schools. With the help of different methodological tools, the aim is to critically highlight issues related to teaching adequacy and readiness, but also to the challenges of language teaching in modern socio-cultural environments, under the burden of the economic crisis and of the health one, recently. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2024.
