Influence of characteristics of superfine WC powder on microstructure of diamond saw blade

摘      要:Superfine WC Powder, commercial Sn, Ni, Co, Cu powders and diamonds were used for this study. Diamond alloy saw blades were prepared by vacuum sintering. The morphological characteristics of superfine WC powder and blades were observed by X-ray energy-dispersive spectrometer (EDS). The element analysis in different zones of fractured surface of alloy saw blades was carried out by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results showed that the addition of superfine WC powder can improve the microstructure of Sn-Ni-Co-Cu alloyed diamond blades. The increase of additive amount of superfine WC powder makes for finer grains and higher strength of materials. Element Sn is the principal factor of liquid-phase sintering and composition deviation. Element Co is the principal factor of coarse-grain growth. Element Sn is in favor of fine-grain structure.
